How do we stop black men from killing each other.

First we must give them the proper image and definition of "man". Then we must have an example fo them to go by. An positive example that looks like them. Then they must know their self worth . Then we must teach them how to love themselves deeply. Then and only then can he truly reflect love and give love to another. Then we teach them that their is no greater entity then God by any name. He is the only one that is higher then himself. The black brotherhood is vital. That his only outlet.

If we can implement these things, Our young men won't have no need for any gang. Our young men will grab the father role and will love and honor his woman. Our black men will not kill his own.

Stop being silent about it when it occurs. We have to express outrage about it and make a clear demonstration that it is unacceptable and will not be tolorated. The message has to reverberate down to street level.

Community outrage supported/backed up with positive programs designed to encourage acceptance of responsibility and a sense of unity within the community. ( That sounded like a Jessie Jackson rhyme)

As long as we sit silent as a community and act as though we only care about a Black life when it is taken by a White police officer, the message that EVERY Black life is important and ANYONE who takes it is acting AGAINST the collective community will never be heard.

These young men do no realize they are acting AGAINST the COLLECTIVE community when they choose to take the life of one of our own. Our community silence does nothing to resolve that ignorance.

There are only two ways. Find a deterrent or Find the REASON they are killing each other and eliminate it.

Deterrents can come in two forms.

1) A positive outlet for their ambition, aggression and their longing to be a part of something. Or...

2) A negative consequence that is so severe that it prevents them from doing what they do.


The Reason they are doing it is lack of other constructive ways to spend their time. This is (at the risk of sounding like a broken record) a result of LACK OF MONEY/RESOURCES.

If basketball/football camps, book clubs, cultural stimulation, science fairs, artistic instruction were all made available in our communities without it straining the parent financially...kids killing kids would virtually disappear. The only ones left would be those born into a life of crime by their fathers, uncles, or cousins always being in the drug life. The ironic thing is...even those older males in the drug life will steer kids away from that life IF they knew something else to steer them TOWARDS.

And we all know the Drug trade responsible for about half of the deaths in the hood (either directly or indirectly) is a result of a desire for wealth but an ignorance as to how to build it LEGALLY.

there is alot that can be done but it cannot be done by those who have a subconcious hatred of the Black male.

There is no foolishness among the youth of the NOI, or the youth of the various Kemetic Shrines either, and let's be clear this is a new phenomnon, not indicative of our culture or our folk ways of adaptation, since this fratricide was not going on during the time of segregation.
This occured strategicaly during the 80s with the October Surprise, Oliver North, CIA drug importation of mega tons of pure grade cocaine into the nation, so much that it could nor be sold at a profit, but had to be transfered into freebase which was usiualy a high for the rich.
the resulting product became known as crack.
According to investigations by Maxine Waters and community activist Jim Brown, the beef betweeen the Crips and Bloods which was in the process of subsidibng, by virtue of the intervention of Minister Farakhan, at youth councils and meetings, was escalated and fueled , by LAPD.
High tech weaponry flooded the West coast communities along with the Bronfman's family (real owners of Death Row)presenting gangsta rap to the airwaves, while strategicaly keeping out concious rap.

There is a great deal that can be done, and is being done but it takes a heart free of bitterness,
clarity, focus, and imagination creativity and determination

the mentality of hate must die inside of us all..


put life back on top, it must be taught as something to cherish, all life even down to an ant..

increase the understanding of family and bloodline in your area

start rumors of truces,

and decrease material wealth starting in your household
we have adopted a free to be me, and do whatever attitude, when we are not at liberty to have such freedoms, nor should we at this time..

in your area, start and partner with groups of all ages to sit and discuss, not the problem alone, but how it grew to be where it is today..and who started it, and who will it take to end it

you will need to coordinate with youth leaders, anti gang activist, parents students, and ultimatley the leaders, and dealers, who are terrorist in your area.

you must have diologue with them, you will not stomp out drug use as long as the need/want remains..at least not as of yet, we are still healing so lets not kid ourselves with pipe dreams of zero tolerance thinking, huh?

you may need them soon, either for funding, or military alliances, so again diologue, not lenthy prison sentences.

the only need to send them away should be used for time for the junkie to get cleaned up, take away the demand, you then cripple the supplier, who then is only an opportunist, who then no longer needs territory, believe me, they will move on..businesses that are stagnant in profit rarely stay around.. there is a supplier, and they need consumers( the addict) to move product.


with the fiend no longer interested, and us on patrol, we increase comfort with the people living in our areas.

To be honest, that is why the killing and the music to promote the killing and the free access to guns and ammo, to do the killing all started in the first place,

First, there is not a single answer to that question, but one of the main solutions would have to be self accountability. For whatever strange reason, we, black men, like to justify our negative behavior; we blame our actions and behaviors on our fathers not being in our lives during childhood, growing up in a "rough" environment, and a lack of love, etc..etc...etc....Secondly, we have to simplify some situations that could lead to questionable situations. For instance, right is right, and wrong is wrong. If we have to think about whether or not something is right or not, then maybe we do not need to do it. So, take responsibility for our ACTIONS, and be preventive as much as possible so that we are not placed in tough predicaments.
