Yes, we have had to implement more security features, due to an increase in premeditated attacks on our server.

I too received the above message trying to do "normal things," an indicator (i'm hoping) that the program is working. While it frustrated me, the only option I had was to turn it off. Considering the reason I installed it, going that way made little sense. I've had to come to the conclusion that being on the Internet is simply costing us more and more. There was a time when we could get away without such protections, with the luxury of relaxing a little regarding our Internet property, investment, and peace, but those days are gone.

There has been a surge of deliberate attacks on our server, which is why we are having to do this.

Sister Cherry, I was really hoping that only I was seeing the dotDefender messages, as it would reduce my learning curve considerably ... lol ... :)

But that's okay, we're in this together, and we've got to work it out together.

Please everyone, let me know what particular actions you are trying to do, that present this message.

In fact, if you would copy the message to this thread, along with what you were trying to do, that would be great.

This will allow me to know exactly what options the program has locked us out of ... :lol:

I was shutting down and re-starting like crazy!

Please bear with me as I learn how to customize this program for us.

As I said recently, I'm the least qualified to being doing this job, as it has always been a challenge for me ... like jumping off a cliff, and hoping I don't die.

Our options are few right now. We can turn the program off, making ourselves more vulnerable to the enemy (within and without), or take the time to make it work.

I'm really sorry that some features ... major features (like being able to post) are hindered ... and am working to get us around this.

Please be patient with me Family ... and if you can post, shout, chat or anything ... do it, let us know your experiences.

Over the years sometimes when I was about to post on the site. I would loose the post after I submitted. I have been coping my post into word since then before submitting, just for this reason. I got the dot. defender message on 8/22/2009

I had not copied my post into the word document format as i often do. So that message was lost. I relaxed my routine. Oh well.

It happened twice to me in the last hour. It was because I had some info already in quotes and a frame... I copied from another post. That was not allowed.

When I removed the info from the frame, and did the quote around the info directly it worked.

So if you try the same thing again, and get the block again ... post the ID for me.

It's the only way to distinguish between legitimate blocks and the Family being blocked.

The block message will not go away on its own, or by you rebooting your pc, or anything like that. You can't fix it. It must be corrected on the server side, and I can't correct them if you all don't give them to me. You can't assume that if Sister CherryBlossom provides all of her Reference ID's, that it will cover you too. It might not. Each Reference ID Number is different, and points to a different action. So if you want to be sure the ones you are receiving stop, you have to provide those numbers to me ... every single one.

Please post them in this thread. All I need is the Reference ID Number. You don't have to say what you were trying to do, as I thought earlier.

It's kind of a slow process, getting the changes made, but please don't give up on me.

This is at the top of my list right now, and however long it takes, we'll get it all ironed out.

I removed the video, and let a copy of the "blocked" message and a link to this thread be posted, so those who may be receiving the error will know what it is.

It's just a copy on the home page, but if anyone gets their own activity blocked, they'll be given a screen like that with a different number.

When the Family gets that number, I need them to post it here in this thread.

I no longer have the reference code, but a few days ago this happened to me too. I was trying to create a hyper link in a thread and when i submitted the post the dotdefender appeared. However, as i went back to check my post i found i had made an error in my hyper link. Once i corrected the error, it went through just fine. Sometimes it could be a small error in a post. Something that may have been overlooked by the poster. For instance, Quotation may be wrong, or spaces in the wrong place. Double check your post for errors; It might solve the problem.

i don't program as u know but i do analyze...

what i notice is when u click to reply to a thread.... and u look at the toolbar...... the youtube and google links are blocked.....

it's being attached to the ip address and brought in... not an infiltration...

since u know computer language u can proly fix it without any money....
