View Full Version : Black Astrology : SAGITTARIUS THE ARCHER...
Sagittarius is the ninth sign of the zodiac, which the Sun transits during the last month of autumn, from about November 22nd to about December 20th. The symbol for this sign is The Archer; its polarity is positive; its element is fire; its quality is mutable; its ruling planet is Jupiter; and on the human anatomy Sagittarius rules the lower back, hips and thighs, the liver, and the hepatic system...
In Sagittarius the self-confidence of fire and the restlessness of mutability are joined with the genial influence of the planet Jupiter to create an expansive nature that cannot be confined. The archer of the sign’s symbol is depicted as a centaur, a mythological creature that was half-horse and half-man. Thus the Sagittarian nature is innately dual; one half rooted in animal instinct (i.e., the pleasures of life), the other half aiming at the stars, such as the teachers, philosophers, spiritual leaders and humanitarians of our world.
Like its polar opposite and complementary sign Gemini, Sagittarius wants to know, but this knowing must go further. Whereas Gemini is content to think, Sagittarius must experience; whereas Gemini will let the mind wander, Sagittarius wants the body to travel; whereas Gemini likes to accumulate facts, Sagittarius wants to construct theories to fit all the separate pieces of information into an all-encompassing world-view. This paradoxical fire sign can produce both the athlete who goes as far as body will take him, and the philosopher who explores the ultimate nature of reality.
Sagittarians – who include not only Sun-sign Sagittarians, but all in whose horoscopes the sign is emphasized – are eager to share their experiences with others. Their expression ranges from arrogant bombast to rarified abstraction...and from devastating satire to evangelical fervor!
Most Sagittarian infants are very active and hate being confined; even cuddling or changing their diapers may send them into fits of claustrophobia. They are usually early walkers and runners, and because of their hunger for knowledge, probably early talkers as well. They love roughhousing, gang-tackling and horseplay, but they are also the easiest children to travel with. They are entertaining guests and have no trouble sleeping in a strange bed...
Whatever their genre, their motive is to convince, which makes them better talkers than listeners. They must be free to pursue their truth unhampered, but once they have arrived at it, they may forget the winding path that led them there in their desire to spread it around. Indeed, this Jupiterian tendency toward self-righteousness and arrogance makes Sagittarius the least mutable of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo and Pisces are the others). But Jupiter is also responsible for their best qualities, which are their enduring faith, their marvelous optimism, and their great sense of humor...
In love Sagittarians are capable of some curious extremes. They can be passionate to the point of exhaustion – treating sex as an indoor sport in which they must prove their skill and endurance...or they may be so engrossed in philosophical abstraction or a spiritual path that they forget all about human love. Their insatiable appetite for experience, coupled with their idealism, often produces the “Don Juan” types, i.e., one who is driven to endless variety in his restless search for the perfect mate. Their partners must respect their need for independence and give them a long rein...
Their most compatible signs are: Aries, Leo, Libra and Aquarius; Scorpio, Capricorn, Taurus and Cancer are neutral; Virgo and Pisces are likely to be difficult, although with Pisces they share a universal perspective because of Jupiter’s co-rulership of this sign. With another Sagittarian there will be more energy than stability, and with Gemini, their polar opposite, there will be both attraction and tension, the outcome depending (as with all combinations) on how the two horoscopes interact in their entirety, and not on the compatibility of the Sun-signs alone.
Sagittarius is traditionally associated with the professions, and Sagittarians are often attracted to fields such as teaching, philosophy, religion and law. Theirs is also the sign of the freelancer, and they should be independent, if not actually self-employed. They need to move around and are at their best when either selling or preaching. Publishing, advertising, traveling, lecturing, entertaining (especially as comedians), sports, dancing, exploring, and working with animals (especially horses) all come naturally...
The colors of Sagittarius are red and navy blue; its birthstones are the turquoise, amethyst and lapis lazuli; and its day of the week is Thursday, which is ruled by Jupiter...
The following are some prominent African-Americans born under the sign Sagittarius:
Dave Bing, Jerry Butler, Shirley Chisholm, Ossie Davis, Sammy Davis, Jr., former Cong. Ron Dellums, Redd Foxx, Berry Gordy, Robert Guillaume, Jimmy Hendrix, Bo Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Florence Griffith-Joyner, Don King, Mickey Leland, Donovan McNabb, Gordon Parks, Billy Paul, Richard Pryor, Lou Rawls, Tim Reid, Tina Turner, Cicely Tyson, Dionne Warwick, Grover Washington, Jr., Maurice White, Joe Williams and Flip Wilson...
Sagittarians and those with this fire sign in their horoscopes cannot bear to feel trapped in a place, situation, or a relationship. If pressed too far, they will invariably exit suddenly. It must have been a Sagittarian who first said, “I’ve got to get out of here!” :)
If you want to know the truth about a matter, ask a Sagittarian. This sign is noted for being able to go right to the heart of a matter – in an instant!... :)
Also, the name “Earth, Wind and Fire” denotes the elements in the cosmic signature of the group's leader Maurice White (12/19/’44). He is a Sagittarian (fire) with the Moon in Aquarius (air or “wind”) and Virgo (earth) rising...
Wide-open cyberspace thrills freedom-loving Sagittarius. It's hard to hold this individual down, and the jovian (a word derived from Jupiter, the planetary ruler of Sagittarius) native wants to meet people from all walks of life, including those from distant shores...
Sagittarians love to travel, seeking to know and experience more of the world in a personal, interactive way. Foreign customs, different cultures, favorite spots to visit in exotic lands - they're all there for this sign's insatiable appetite for excitement, and the Sagittarian will love exploring the Web...
The interactivity of different websites can keep the Sagittarian online for hours at a time, so the difficult issue of self-discipline will haunt them. The responsibilities of life can sometimes be too boring for the Sagittarian to give time to duty and discipline when having fun is so hard to resist! Therefore, the problem of obsession with the Internet is something the Sagittarian might have to deal with. Then again, there's nothing like real travel and experiencing the world first-hand...
Learning independently in an unstructured environment on the Internet suits Sagittarius just fine. Exploring websites that contain information on the Universe, space travel and education will certainly tickle the fancy of the Sagittarian. Their playful nature will love the games and chance-taking that can be found on the Internet. Here are a few websites that the Sagittarian will enjoy:

You are so right on all of these things. I try my best to deliver the truth in whatever I do. I see there's no point in lying. I have a question though. My best friend is a Libra and lately we've been like :argue: and it's really getting at me. Is there anything you can tell me? Thanks in advance. :) Much luv...Libra is an air sign; air and fire are compatible elements. It could be that there are other elements and/or aspects in your horoscopes that are incompatible...or that the arguments are more of an environmental nature than anything else...
serenti-poet 06-21-2003, 03:55 PM thanks :) I'll look into that
LibertyLady 07-21-2003, 11:47 AM yes i,m a truth seeker....

bellasky 08-25-2003, 12:31 AM Aqil, I would just like to tell you how much i enjoy your insight on astrology...I've never been interested in zodiac signs really or the meaning; however, from time-to-time i do turn to the horoscope section of the newspaper hoping to hear good news u know.....nevertheless after visiting your sight last week i keep coming back...i'm so into it because you really hit the nail on the head with the signs and their personalities...by the way i'm a sagi. thank you again for sharing your knowledge
You're quite welcome, bellasky...and thank you for your comments. Those daily and monthly guides in the newspapers serve mainly as games, entertainment, or conversation pieces. They are not horoscopes since they give only general advice and do not pertain to individuals. Character readings, based upon the sign position of the Sun as shown by the month of birth, sometimes contain enough truth to be mildly enlightening. However, the sign position of the Sun as shown by the month of birth is only one of many significant influences. Analyzing a person’s character by “Sun-sign” astrology, without allowing for the positions of the planets and the exact time and place of birth, is an exercise in futility...
:nono:
Sister bellasky:
You were born during the Sun’s transit of the mutable fire sign Sagittarius, which is ruled by Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system. More than any other sign you love your liberty, freedom and independence. You hate bosses and dictatorial attitudes, and you tend to view attacks on the weak or helpless as a personal affront...
You are self-reliant, candid in your opinions, frank and outspoken in your judgments, and somewhat impatient of others who are not as active and energetic as you. You are ambitious, honest, and you possess a great store of friendliness and goodwill toward others – until they prove unworthy of it.
The symbol for the sign Sagittarius is "The Archer," the immortal Centaur depicted as half man and half horse; thus your remarks usually fly like arrows, straight and directly to their mark. You have a great love for dancing, and a passion for sports that is unsurpassed in the zodiac. Sagittarius is the sign of the athlete.
You are also very interested in science, philosophy, and especially religion. Since you are frank, honest and outspoken, you need to develop diplomacy; Sagittarians can be blunt, penetrating, and cutting in their remarks. Generally, however, they are generous, bright, hopeful and jovial (a word derived from Jupiter).
You have a charitable, ambitious nature, and you are not easily discouraged. Your active nature enables you to make fast calculations, and you possess a great deal of foresight. You can often foresee the outcome of such things as political movements long before they become apparent to others. This also applies to business enterprises and/or personal developments.
With your earnest, generous and charitable nature, there are times when others try to impose on you. Fortunately, however, your ability to size up an individual makes these attempts transparently clear. Few people can fool you.
Although Sagittarius is the sign of long journeys (and most Sagittarians love to travel), the journeys may be excursions into the realms of philosophy and metaphysics. The desire to learn about people and places may lure you to distant lands, and, irrespective of how you travel, you like to fancy yourself as a free soul who can employ a variety of conveyances – physical, mental, or spiritual – to extend the scope of your consciousness...
The key phrase for the sign Sagittarius is, “I see.”
Sagittarius is the sign of religion...and in that regard the Sagittarian expression ranges from arrogant bombast to rarified abstraction...and from devastating satire to evangelical fervor!

By the way, my sister has found her way 50's finally, my neice is getting there 40's, although no longer using drugs my son still not all there yet (he was adopted) 30's.

Your query is indeed interesting because drug use is not a trait or characteristic of the sign Sagittarius. This is a Pisce affliction. More than likely there are determining factors in their horoscopes that would warn of this condition.
By the way, my sister has found her way 50's finally, my neice is getting there 40's, although no longer using drugs my son still not all there yet (he was adopted) 30's.In astrological parlance the Sagittarian is called "the Wanderer." Re: Jupiter, the planetary ruler of Sagittarius
Jupiter is the planet of benevolence and expansion. It is the largest planet in our solar system, over a hundred times larger than Earth. Some of its keywords are growth, optimism, good fortune, generosity, geniality, joviality, idealism, judgment, philanthropy, sociability and respectability...
Jupiter receives its name from "Jove," who, in ancient mythology, was the king of the gods. As a matter of fact, its symbol is supposed to be an altered “Z,” the first letter of Zeus, the Greek name for Jove, meaning, “bright Heaven.” Zeus was the great Olympian deity who sat upon his throne atop his holy mountain (Olympus) with a thunderbolt in one hand and the staff of life in the other. In this posture he is - in one divine personage - the Creator (staff of life), the Preserver (the mountain), and the Destroyer (the thunderbolt)...
The name "Jupiter" evolved from the Greek “Zeus Pater,” meaning "father of the gods," and its Latin counterpart, “Diupater,” meaning "God the Father." The planet is, above all others, a benefic planet. The personality with which Jupiter is endowed is a benevolent, patriarchal father-figure. He is the judge, guardian of the helpless, and consoler. It is Jupiter who gives the ability and courage to carry on just that little further and longer when everything else seems hopeless...
When prominently placed and well-aspected in a horoscope, Jupiter portends material good fortune for the native. He/she is, in addition to being “jovial,” deeply moral, with a strong feeling for the sanctity of authority – and often very religious...
Jupiter is a male planet and is therefore a representation of the solar force. Although the Sun activates all life, it does not deal directly in the daily life of man. The various areas of terrestrial life are assigned to the governorships of the different planets according to their individual natures. As the largest planet, Jupiter is given the greatest authority. If the Sun is the Caliph or Emperor, i.e., the spiritual lord, Jupiter acts as the Grand Vizier or Shogun, i.e., the temporal lord. (To the uninitiated this distinction is difficult to understand.)
Most people desire action from God, direct intercedence, swift answers to their prayers and supplications. For this reason, Jupiter has often been integrally linked to the Sun in mythology and religion. To the ancient Egyptians, whose spiritual history has its roots in remote antiquity, Jupiter was “Amun” (Amun Re being the solar deity). The Babylonians called him “Bel” or “Baal,” or “Moloch,” and the Hindus referred to him as “Vishnu the Preserver.”
Astrologically speaking, Jupiter is, next to Saturn, the most potent planet in our solar system. He signifies all that is truly good and charitable in human life. His actions are truly noble, and a genuine son of Jupiter fills the atmosphere around him with genial warmth. His soul is brimming full of honest good nature. Utterly incapable of practicing fraud, he never suspects it in others, and often becomes the victim of others. Jupiter also signifies the higher moral nature, the humanitarian qualities, and is the author of all noble and charitable institutions and enterprises. Those dominated by its influences express the highest forms of human nature. There is something truly royal in this planet’s influences – a mixture of father, patriarch and king. Those born under its influences do much to redeem mankind from its general depravity. There is always a fine sense of discrimination, and they possess rare qualities of justice, which entitle them to be the judges of people.
As the mythological presider over the community of the gods, Jupiter also presides over the human community. In the astrological system of planetary assignments Jupiter rules the sign Sagittarius, and is exalted (most comfortable and benefic) in the sign Cancer, ruler of the home. The Greek religion also esteemed Zeus as the protector of the domicile and the hearth. He was not only the guardian of the home, but also the chief deity of the State. He was the founder of society, the symbol of justice and truth, and the Lord from whom kings and rulers derived their authority. In this respect, his heavenly staff became the earthly scepter.
Jupiter rules higher education, religion, philosophy and law, and its position in the horoscope indicates the nature and development of one’s higher mental attributes. Jupiter goes beyond the rational faculties embodied by Mercury, its polar opposite, for Mercury is basically concerned with the communication of ideas, while Jupiter seeks the basis upon which ideas are formulated. Jupiter gives the gift of prophecy, while Mercury chooses the words in which divine revelations are to be expressed. Mercury finds the proper phrases to outline a national constitution and writes its laws, while Jupiter is the ideology behind government, and provides the universal principles that serve as the reason why laws should be created in the first place. Mercury teaches man how to communicate with man, while Jupiter shows how man is to communicate with God.
In astrological lore Jupiter is called the “god of plenty.” He is the “Santa Claus” of the skies, and when prominently placed and well-aspected in a horoscope, it gives abundantly of health, wealth and happiness. People with a strong Jupiter influence are compassionate, sociable, optimistic, honest and straightforward. They are dignified, liberal, logical, confident and determined. There is a universal law that states that we receive from nature in exact proportion as we give; thus the man who radiates benevolence becomes a dynamic center through which nature pours her beneficent blessings to her multitudinous progeny...
anAfrican 12-02-2005, 11:55 AM [tongue in cheek]"this danged zodiacal nonsense"[/tongue in cheek]
i almost get "nervous" when i read this sort of stuff. it's like "hey!! who's looking at, and reporting on, the inside of my head!!??" and it almost gets to be "embarrassing", "egotistical" or "hubristic", to read this stuff and go "yeah; that is what i'm all about".
<sigh> but i love being me, and i'm gonna keep on keeping on!! but i guess having some of that mercury influence would help along about now; ideas/thoughts/ideologies running through my head that i just can't seem to put into words! and, baby, Africa needs them words RIGHT NOW!!
Thank You, Brother Aqil!

There is a universal law that states that we receive from nature in exact proportion as we give; thus the man who radiates benevolence becomes a dynamic center through which nature pours her beneficent blessings to her multitudinous progeny...

anAfrican:
I have re-created the Heavens for the time of your birth (I used 2:13am) and your nativity shows that you were born with the Sun in Sagittarius, the Moon in Gemini, and your time of birth gives you Libra rising. In other words, you are a Sagittarian with a Gemini personality who sees the world through the eyes of a Libra...
You were born during the Sun’s transit of the mutable fire sign Sagittarius, which is ruled by Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system. More than any other sign you love your liberty, freedom, and independence. You hate bosses and dictatorial attitudes, and you tend to view attacks on the weak or helpless as a personal affront. You are self-reliant, candid in your opinions, frank and outspoken in your judgments, and somewhat impatient of others who are not as active and energetic as you. You are ambitious, honest, and you possess a great store of friendliness and goodwill toward others – until they prove unworthy of it.
The symbol for Sagittarius is the Archer, the immortal Centaur depicted as half-man and half-horse; thus your remarks usually fly like arrows, straight and directly to their mark.
The desire to learn about people and places may lure you to distant lands, and, irrespective of how you travel, you like to fancy yourself as a free soul who can employ a variety of conveyances – physical, mental, or spiritual – to extend the scope of your consciousness.
The key phrase for the sign Sagittarius is “I see.”
Your natal Sun in Sagittarius occupies the 3rd house in your horoscope. "Houses" are the astrological divisions of our planet Earth, just as the twelve signs of the zodiac are astronomical divisions of the Heavens. The houses number twelve also, and they represent every aspect of human existence. In your horoscope, the Sun, Mercury and Venus tenant the 3rd house, which rules communications, siblings, neighbors and short journeys. It is also referred to as the house of the lower mind, in that it is opposite the 9th house - the house of the higher mind. The 3rd house is ruled by the sign Gemini on the natural zodiac, and its planetary ruler is Mercury.
Your natal Sun in the 3rd house indicates a strong drive to achieve distinction through intellectual brilliance and mental accomplishments. This produces a scientific bent with an urge to attain knowlege, and to understand thoroughly the inner workings of life's processes. You are observant, optimistic and flexible, and you have the ability to make the right decisions at the right time. You are an excellent speaker and writer, and you enjoy getting involved in neighborhood affairs and traveling. Siblings and/or neighbors will probably play a major role in your life, and the ability to express and communicate your ideas is very important to you.
Whenever the Sun is afflicted (receiving adverse aspects from other celestial bodies) you ca be either impartial and self-reliant or arrogant and domineering. There is also the tendency to force your ideas on others. The Sun in the 3rd house acts much like the Sun in Gemini, which is another reason why you have an affinity for those born under this sign...
anAfrican 12-03-2005, 09:58 PM yeah, i think i know somebody like that ...
thanks!
Your natal Moon was in the air sign Gemini at the time of your birth, thus you are interested in the intimate contact of the moment. Your emotional personality requires variety and novelty rather than duration and depth of feeling. You are generally incapable of long-sustained feelings or of undivided loyalties. Though at times you can be insensitive, your perceptions are quick and accurate. You sustain impressions through thought rather than feeling.
Your senses serve the intellect rather than the emotions. This results in an ability for dispassionate observation and reasoning. Your mind is changeable and at times chaotic, but you can assimilate an indefinite amount of detail. Being versatile and adaptable, you may have two or more vocations, often at the same time.
You have a fondness for action and movement, either physical or mental. Your hands are able, facile and skillful, and you have a well-developed sense of taste and smell. You are not intuitive, but rather you are observant, quick to form impressions, and usually able to verbalize them instantly.
You are attracted to the artistic and literary professions, or any area involving communications. A preference, even a need to do several things at once is important for your psychological well being. The intellectual ability of this position of the Moon often makes you an avid reader or a talented artisan.
With the Moon in Gemini you are attracted to an intellectual female who can fit into any social role. You are reserved in personal matters, and at times others find you cold; you are more interested in the here and now than in the past. Torn apart by changing feelings, you can spread yourself too thin and scatter your energies; this can manifest in nervous tension. You know how to play up to others, and at times you may be too shrewd for your own good. Your restless nature is always in search of something new.
Mercury is the planetary ruler of Gemini, and the key phrase for this sign is “I think.”
Your natal Moon in Gemini tenants the 9th house in your horoscope. This house is called the house of the higher mind...it rules higher education, religion, philosophy, and long journeys. The Moon in the 9th house indicates a deep emotional attachment to religious and ethical values that were instilled in your childhood. You have a clever and resourceful imagination; a mind receptive to high ideals, and the ability to study and comprehend philosophical, metaphysical and religious subjects. You develop a philosophy through your feelings and devotion to your ideals. The study of the deeper things in life is important to you, and you are receptive to the superconscious realms. You are extremely fond of travel, and you very well take up residence in a location far from your place of birth. You also have a tendency to learn unconsciously, or by osmosis, and you are a natural teacher in almost any field...
The Ascendant (or rising sign) in the horoscope – which is the Creator’s plan for human development – is utilized primordially as a third and very important factor that complements the psychological information given by the combined cosmic positions of the Sun and Moon. Figuratively speaking, the Ascendant is the geometrical base that encloses the human triangle where its sides are represented by the individuality and the personality.
At the time of your birth the cardinal air sign Libra was ascending on the eastern horizon. This is one of the most likable and harmonious Ascendants to have. You are sensitive and strongly influenced by your surroundings, as well as existing conditions. Libra rising gives you an innate sense of fairness, which makes you honest, courteous, compassionate and kind. You are also optimistic and candid, and you have a good deal of willpower – but very little perseverance or staying power. One of your chief drawbacks stems from the fact that you will first weigh one side of a question and then the other, and then perhaps wait and see what someone else will do before making a decision of your own.
With Libra on the Ascendant, social and personal pleasures are matters of great absorption for you. Libra is the natural sign of partnership and harmonious relationships; unfortunately, too many of these are more disruptive than amicable. If you weren’t born into a large family, chances are you’ll marry into one. The only trouble with this is that some of them may be so disputatious that legal action will be involved. Somehow your father is a source of difficulty. On the other hand, you will gain enormous satisfaction and happiness from and through your children, who will be few in number but extremely fortunate.
Your mate is apt to be comfortably fixed. Still, you are (or will be) in the public eye, and you'll probably do considerable traveling and changing of residences as a result of your occupation. You’ll take some long trips, but your chief source of profit and success will probably be in your own hometown. You will discover that your best friends are people of great professional accomplishment and standing in the world. Associations with artists, writers and other creative people will eventually reveal that one of your closest friends comes from this group.
Your talents include constructive and inventive ability, and you probably have untapped genius for anything harmonious or beautiful in life (e.g., poetry, art, music or sculpture). You learn quickly and can master any branch of business. The difficulty lies in the fact that you may, while engrossed in any avocation, suddenly change your mind and follow an entirely different line of interest.
When all is said and done, and you have lived your life to the best of your abilities, your children will be your greatest source of inspiration during your waning years. Libra rising says to the world: “Let there be peace in the Universe, and let it begin with me.”
With Libra rising you are, by nature, a "people-oriented" person. This is because Libra is the sign of relationships, and Libra rules the 7th house of marriage and relationships on the natural zodiac. In your horoscope the sign on the cusp of the 7th house is Aries, and this means that for you marriage must be a continual romance...You are often disillioned because of your inharmonious domestic life. You should use the utmost care in choosing a mate, otherwise your life will be ruined. You should marry someone born under the sign Aries, provided your individual horoscopes blend. You seek a strong partner, but when you have found one you resent her strength because your Libra Ascendant loves peace and harmony (as long as it is your way!). If you do find a mate who suits you - or if you have grwn to accept what your current one can offer - life will seem richer and more meaningful, because cooperation and sharing is very important to your well being...
Re: Your Sun-Moon Polarity:
Astrology is one of man’s oldest sciences. It has survived thousands of years for good reason: Humans do respond to cycles, the cycles of the planets and stars.
The three primary forces in a horoscope (the Creator’s plan for human development) are the Sun, the Moon, and the Ascendant, or rising sign. Each has particular meaning according to the sign position and house placement they occupy in your horoscope at the time of your birth.
The Sun represents your basic character; what you need to feel fulfilled, recognized and important. It relates to and represents your drive for significance. It is the individuality.
The Moon is referred to as the subconscious mind, relating to the past, childhood conditioning, instinctive patterns, feelings, and your inner nature. It is the personality.
The Ascendant (or rising sign) shows how you project yourself; the window through which you see the world and the world sees you. It is the mask you wear before others.
The planets in your horoscope show what kinds of energies operate.
The signs show how these energies operate.
The houses show where these energies operate.
You were born with the Sun in Sagittarius and the Moon in Gemini, which means that you were born at or near the time of the Full Moon. This astrological combination greatly accentuates your innately active Sagittarian nature. Your mind is very alert, thus you imbibe learning quite readily. But due to your active, restless nature - which is characteristic of both Sagittarius and Gemini - there is the danger of too much versatility. One of the greatest lessons in life that you must learn is consistency of purpose. And you will pass this test with honors once you have embedded in your mind these words of wisdom from the sages of the East: "Slowness comes from God; haste comes from the devil."
The Sun in Sagittarius-Moon in Gemini polarity makes you quite literary. You are a lover of law, philosophy and religion. You also love to dance, and you are an avid sports enthusiast, for Sagittarius is the sign of the dancer and the athlete.
In matters pertaining to your health, this Sun-Moon polarity indicates the liability to pulmonary and neurotic complaints, trouble with the hips and thighs, the sciatic nerve, and problems with the nervous system. Total abstinence from all animal flesh as food is seriously recommended.
Here are the planetary delineations:

Frankfurt Am Main, Germany
Mercury is 6 degrees Sagittarius
Your mind is very curious and inquisitive, always seeking information on a wide variety of topics. The broader the subject matter (philosophy, science, religion, metaphysics), the more it will appeal to you. You prefer to deal with abstractions...the small but important details associated with any subject tend to slip your grasp. You are known for being blunt, honest and truthful.
Venus, your life ruler, is 1 degree Capricorn
You tend to keep your feelings under control...emotions are only released in serious or important situations. You are distrustful of others whose behavior could be judged excessive or immoderate. As such, you prefer to relate only to those who are older than you, or to those whose position is such that respect and duty are more important for both of you than passion or emotional response. Be careful, however, of relationships that are merely based on practicality or utility, or you will ultimately be lonely.
Mars is 1 degree Scorpio
Your likes and dislikes are strong and intense, never casual or superficial. You are known for your persistence and willful obsession. Once you have decided on a course of action, you are unstoppable. Your emotional actions tend to be extreme, although you try to keep them muted. You are not quick to anger - you do slow burns, thus you tend to release your anger as sarcasm or irony. Beware of your tendency to hold grudges and to be vengeful. When you do fight, or release your internal tensions, you do-so body and soul...you become totally passionate and your outbursts are awesome to behold.
Jupiter, your ruling planet, is 1 degree Virgo
You feel most expansive and at ease with yourself when you are doing something that you consider to be practical or useful. You enjoy being dutiful and carrying out responsibilities. You gladly take on the little tasks that others seem to want to avoid. At times you carry things to extremes, and feel guilty anytime you do something that you consider to be self-indulgent. While it is appropriate for you to demand little for yourself in life, try to loosen up once in a while...go out and enjoy yourself!
Saturn is 25 degrees Scorpio
You tend to release emotional energies only very reluctantly. This is partly due to your fear of what devastating calamity might occur should they be released...your emotions are terribly complicated and intense. Try not to repress these energies entirely, however, or you will succumb to negative and destructive forms of compulsive behavior. Give yourself the freedom to look awkward or silly once in a while. The relief you feel will be quite therapeutic, and the embarrassment (whether it is real or imagined) will pass quickly.
Uranus is 2 degrees Leo
You and your peers demand complete and total freedom of self- expression. You want to make your mark in the world according to your own lights, and will brook no interference from traditional authority-figures, especially if they attempt to mold or shape you in any way. You are honest and forthright, but a bit offbeat and eccentric. The lack of self-discipline may hinder you from reaching your goals as quickly as you would like.
Neptune is 29 degrees Libra
You and your entire generation will idealize all of the various experimental approaches to relationships...including the formation of communes and collectives and the whole concept of "open" marriages. There is a stress on weakened commitments on an emotional and contractual level, but there are heightened expectations of the level of commitment and mutual support on the spiritual and metaphysical level.
Pluto is 28 degrees Leo
For your entire generation this is a time when the relationship of the individual to society as a whole is being thoroughly re-examined. Major attempts will be made to find a balance between the need to be self-sufficient and the need to honor debts of social commitment.
The Moon's North Node is 17 degrees Sagittarius
You will probably have many different contacts and acquaintances throughout your life. You're quite gregarious by nature, and your natural curiosity about others lets you take the lead in forming new relationships. You will form close ties with those who have similarly idealistic ideas...especially those who can stimulate you intellectually in your chosen field of interest. Your enthusiasm for learning new things may also cause you to do quite a bit of traveling. Because you probably will have many wide-ranging interests and concerns, you most likely will have contacts and connections in various parts of this country and/or the world.
Btw, Billy Paul (12/1/'34), Lou Rawls (12/1/'35) and Richard Pryor (12/1/'40) share your birth date...:star:
The square (90-degree aspect, considered adverse) between the Sun and Jupiter, your ruling planet, indicates that you are extremely immoderate in your actions and attitudes. You’re aware of this tendency, and it bothers you. Learn to examine your priorities carefully before you act, or you’ll waste a lot of time and effort. You tend to bite off more than you can chew, and then desperately try to cope with the situation as best you can. You don’t plan your affairs well, but you’re annoyed when someone offers a suggestion, even after you have asked for advice.
It is pompous and arrogant for you to presume that you can accomplish what you want without self-discipline. Only experience will subdue this arrogance, and you’ll realize that everyone depends, to some extent, on others in the struggle to gain significance and recognition.
In many ways you are a “wheeler-dealer,” and you enjoy becoming involved in manipulating people in their human situations. You aren’t afraid of a good fight that tests your competence in the open market of human frailties. You enjoy challenges, but you may have to endure failure before you eventually succeed. Communications is one of your strongest talents, but you must be properly informed before you attempt to present your ideas. You may sometimes “bend” the truth to achieve your objectives, which can lead to unhealthy complications later on. You tend to push your luck unwisely, but hopefully you will learn greater discretion as you grow in experience.
After you learn to accept reality and gain some degree of self-control, you can assert yourself toward any goal that you choose. You could attain excellence in education, communications, the theatre, law, philosophy, theology or public relations. Your desire to exploit your creative potentials must be accompanied by a full realization of the responsibilities this entails. You have to accept both good and bad, successes and failures, advances and setbacks, because they’re all part of the complexities of accomplishment. Through the problems you encounter you can make your greatest development, if you’re willing to learn from your mistakes.
You want to succeed so much that you can almost taste it, but unless you plan your moves carefully, the taste of success may be bittersweet. Self-indulgence is basically the cause of your physical problems. Avoid tobacco, alcohol and greasy foods altogether, and avoid doing things on impulse, because this aspect inclines you to accidents...
All of the celestial bodies except the Moon were transiting the Eastern Hemisphere of the Heavens at the time of your birth. This indicates that you are a leader by nature, and that your own actions and motivations will greatly determine your destiny. Although you function best in positions of leadership and responsibility, you tend to choose your own lifestyle and set of social and business conditions in which you operate. You are constantly in a phase of initiating new endeavors and entering into new experiences. You will experience freedom in making decisions and choices rather than feeling bound by obligations to others. However, you often experience a sense of loneliness and/or isolation, because you tend to feel that nothing worthwhile happens unless YOU make it happen! You must reach out to establish relationships and create conditions that would automatically be provided for one born with a preponderance of celestial bodies in the Western Hemisphere of the Heavens...
There is a favorable aspect between Venus, your life ruler (so-called because it rules Libra, your rising sign) and Jupiter, your ruling planet. They are in trine aspect, which is considered favorable. Here is its delineation:
The trine (120-degree aspect) between Venus and Jupiter in your horoscope indicates that your inner poise enables you to view people and circumstances optimistically. You are rarely disturbed by negative elements in society because, you believe that everything will eventually turn out right. Most of the time you are cheerful, but when conditions warrant, you can be very serious.
You have a strong sense of ethics and social decorum. You always attempt to put your best foot forward and reach out to people with honesty and sincerity. You disdain anything vulgar or obscene, and you abhor being with individuals whose attitudes are perverse. You prefer to associate with well-mannered people who conduct themselves with propriety. Music, art, drama and dancing are delights that enrich your everyday existence. You enjoy good food, the company of friendly people, and pleasant social activities.
Your happy disposition bolsters people out of depression, and they feel they are not as bad off as they had thought. You meet people more than halfway, because you are generous, understanding and sympathetic. Others are not aware that you are not always as trouble-free as it seems, for you do not wear your problems on your sleeve. You do not share your difficulties with those who have enough problems of their own, nor do you attempt to fight city hall, preferring to quietly take charge of your affairs with little or no fanfare. You may gain attention, but you don't seek it.
You are drawn to individuals who are traditional in their conduct. In an intimate relationship you are especially fascinated by females who are not pretentious about their expectations of you. You want honesty between you and your mate, and above all else, sincerity. You want to be respected and admired for not indulging in public displays of affection, for you feel that such things should be reserved for those intimate moments when you are alone together.
Your talent in handling people enables you to work in public relations, social organizations, artistic endeavors, or any occupation that serves the public's needs or desires. You have a great appreciation for art, thus you could find much satisfaction in some aspect of that field, especially interior design.
This beneficial aspect between Venus and Jupiter indicates that you should enjoy marital bliss and domestic harmony. You seem self-assured about what you want most in life, and because you are able to make the necessary adjustments, you are likely to get what you want...
anAfrican 12-05-2005, 12:34 AM just wow.
aye; "knowledge of self".
it's all been "known", but reading it seems to cause it all to "coalesce" with all the weird bits that i've kept running into in life that always seemed as if they were gonna mean something someday, with what i "feel" it means to be "me" into something that is someplace that i need to be right now to further this "plan" that i've been born to do.
thanks!
You're welcome, anAfrican. The most important angle in a horoscope is the cusp of the 1st house, or the Ascendant. Next in importantance is the southernmost angle of the horoscope, or cusp of the 10th house, called the Midheaven. It is the highest point in the horoscope, where the upper meridian intersects the ecliptic. The word is derived from the Latin “Medium Coeli,” meaning “middle of the sky” and is often abbreviated MC. It represents the position of the Sun at 12:00 noon.
In horoscope interpretation the Midheaven represents the nature of your ambitions. It is the very point in the horoscope that one reaches for. It is the throne of one’s desires; the apex; the top; the focus of one’s future successes (or failures). The Midheaven – and alternately the 10th house – defines that which inside each of us says “climb, go up, be great.” This success drive touches us all, whether we like it or not. It is the material of tomorrows; the futuristic investments that captivates all of us from as far back in our lives as we can remember hearing this question for the first time: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” The 10th house holds the answer to this question. The specific career may not be ascertainable, but the general nature of your ambitions can be. Whichever of the twelve signs of the zodiac is on the Midheaven – thereby ruling the 10th house – is key in defining the more specific nature of your ambitions.
The 10th house itself is ruled and defined by the earth sign Capricorn (success being primordially a Capricorn function). Its planetary ruler is Saturn, and the hard, constricting churning of this planet earmarks the road to success. Standing where it is in the horoscope, the Midheaven is 90º from the 1st house, and therefore at right angles to the self. Ambition is essentially an obstacle course, and the Capricorn symbol for the progress of that ambition is the sure-footed goat climbing to the top of the mountain. The slow, calculating, deceptively impatient mountain goat shows us the way.
However, we have different ways of going about that long climb up, if we go at all. The following delineation of the sign on the Midheaven in your horoscope should yield a fuller picture of the nature of your ambitions:
The water sign Cancer is on the cusp of the 10th house in your horoscope, thus your intellectual and social airs seek their highest expression within the love-centered Cancer matrix. But Cancer, by its very nature, is out of place at the top of the horoscope; it is opposite Capricorn, the natural ruler of the 10th house. The result is a curious transcendence of its powers.
Cancer on the Midheaven elevates its nurturing, love-oriented qualities onto a higher plane. The idealization of love (or love as an ideal) becomes your goal. Your deepest ambitions revolve around this usually unattainable goal: perfect love and/or the perfect lover. Thus it is not uncommon to find you following a profession involving religion in your pursuit of this goal. The religious path is not the only path, however, but it does more closely satisfy your deeply emotional ambitions.
You often do well in achieving more worldly objectives, but your heart is never fully engaged in the worldly struggles. Your high degree of competency – both intellectual and professional – pulls you through with flying colors, but your ultimate satisfaction is in looking toward the spiritual plane. This quest is less romanticizing and more idealizing. The focus is usually on one person – whether male, female or religious figure – but the process is in service to the emotion, not the person. Moreover, this goal is essentially nonsexual in nature.
Your airy Gemini personality dominates your Sagittarian individuality, because the Moon, ruler of the personality, was high in the Heavens at the time of your birth, whereas the Sun, ruler of the individuality, was near the Nadir, or lowest part of the Heavens. The Moon conjuncts the Midheaven in your horoscope, which indicates that your feelings and emotions are directly linked to your ego. This lunar aspect indicates popularity and a life in the public eye. It favors actors, entertainers and politicians, and confers gains through women of wealth and high social standing. You sense public opinion instinctively, and you have the ability to use this gift...
The Moon is the cosmic ruler of Cancer, and the key phrase for this sign is “I feel.”
Bro. ibraham:
I have re-created the Heavens for the exact moment of your birth and your nativity shows that you were born with the Sun in Sagittarius, the Moon in Scorpio, and your time of birth gives you Sagittarius rising. Thus you are a double Sagittarian with the Moon in Scorpio. In other words, you are a Sagittarian with a Scorpio ersonality who sees the world through the eyes of a Sagittarian.
You were born during the Sun’s transit of the mutable (meaning "changeable") fire sign Sagittarius, which is ruled by Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system.
The desire to learn about people and places may lure you to distant lands, and, irrespective of how you travel, you like to fancy yourself as a free soul who can employ a variety of conveyances – physical, mental, or spiritual – to extend the scope of your consciousness.
The key phrase for this sign is, “I see.”
Your natal Sun in Sagittarius occupies the 1st house in your horoscope. "Houses" are the astrological divisions of our planet Earth, just as the twelve signs of the zodiac are astronomical divisions of the Heavens. The houses number twelve also, and they represent every aspect of human existence. The 1st house is the house of the self and personality.
Your horoscope contains a very powerful stellium in the 1st house. A "stellium" is a grouping of three or more celestial bodies in a particular sign or house. In your horoscope the Sun, Venus, Saturn and Uranus all tenant the 1st house, and all are in the sign Sagittarius. The 1st house is the ascending house, or the Ascendant, and the sign on the cusp of called the rising sign. It is the most important house cusp, and the most sensitive point in the horoscope. It represents your basic point of reference toward life: your self-awareness; how your experiences are assimilated, and how you respond to outside stimuli.
The 1st house is a powerful placement for the Sun, because it is accidentally exalted in this house. It shows that you have a strong will, abundant vitality, and intense self-awareness. This placement of the Sun carries with it great initiative and powers of leadership. You are not easily swayed by the opinions or desires of others; you manifest a strong determination to choose your own course in life. You have a clear view of what you want, and you are extremely individualistic. You have abundant energy and strong recuperative powers that help you overcome physical ailments and afflictions of every nature. Your energy makes you ambitious for success, and you will work hard and long to achieve personal distinction and esteem in the eyes of the world. It is a paramount necessity for you to feel that you are a person of importance and distinction. The Sun in the 1st house intensifies your Sagittarian nature, in addition to making you extroverted, courageous and enthusiastic.
The Moon was in the fixed (meaning "stubborn") water sign Scorpio at the time of your birth. The Moon is in its fall in Scorpio (meaning its influences are weakest in this sign) because Scorpio is opposite Taurus, the sign in which the Moon is exalted. Thus this is the least favorable position for the Moon, because the aggressive nature of Scorpio does not blend well with the calm, imaginative influences of the Moon.
Your emotions are extremely intense, and often based on willful desire. You are impatient, moody, and even given to brooding. You are easily hurt, and you can become jealous, extremely revengeful, and hold grudges. You often judge others too quickly, and you feel a need to dominate through subtle means. You will not tolerate opposition to (or interference with) your goals, but often you will sacrifice a great deal for kindness. You have executive ability and you are resourceful and enterprising. Although abrupt and impulsive, you have self-confidence and the ability to attain success. You usually get what you want or whatever you go after; however, many times you might find that you have achieved a hollow victory.
Since you are so jealous, proud and possessive, this sign position of the Moon does not promise a harmonious intimate relationship. You seek a sensual mate, but one gentle enough so you can possess and consume her (which is why this position is sometimes referred to as the “preying mantis Moon”). Being extremely secretive, you need an intuitive mate who can sense your moods.
The wish to dominate is often reflected in relationships with your children. This may be the result of your parent’s domination, or of your over-idealization of a parent, usually the mother. With this lunar position a mother can be overly possessive, and she may have trouble freeing her child – especially a male child.
You become emotionally intent on completing and enjoying any project you have adopted, and you can seem lacking in sympathy when so absorbed. Your personality is deep, and you have a shrewd insight into other people. Very often you enjoy probing into the deep mysteries of life and the abysses of the unknown.
You regard the senses as instruments of pleasure rather than knowledge, responding intensely and passionately to life, especially the sensual, pleasurable aspects of its physical side. Your ability to observe is unlimited; your willpower is often latent, but when you use it, it is often for the betterment of humanity. You must learn to handle your strong, deep feelings. Since your senses are so important, you should pay strict attention to them.
Mars is the planetary ruler of Scorpio (Pluto is its co-ruler), and the key phrase for this sign is “I want.”
Your natal Moon in Scorpio occupies the 12th house in your horoscope. This is the house of self-undoing, silent suffering, prisons, hospitals and other places of confinement, and secret enemies. This lunar placement indicates that your moods and emotional responses are strongly by the unconscious...and by past experiences. You are restless, shy, sensitive and too retiring, and you do not like strange surroundings. You need time alone to recharge your emotional batteries. You like to work in secluded or isolated ways, and often you live in a world of fantasy...you have a fantastic imagination. You are self-sacrificing; if you don't become overly involved with your parents, you could become an excellent medical doctor with this lunar placement. You have an active subconscious, and you can be resentful of imaginary sleights...
The Moon conjuncts the powerful planet Pluto in your horoscope, and this shows that you love deeply and tenaciously. Rather than waste time in casual relationships, you continually look for someone who can respond to you with feelings as deep as your own. You will wait for this rare, elusive person rather than fall in love impulsively. Once in love, you can be very possessive and extremely demanding. You can be vindictive and callous if you are rejected, even towards the one you love. Domestically, you can be a tyrant, and therefore difficult to live with. Unless you are careful and observant, you may permanently alienate your love ones, thereby creating your own loneliness.
Your drive to find a complete relationship will force you to continually re-evaluate both your partners and yourself. In time your personality may undergo drastic changes, and old acquaintances may find it difficult to recognize you as the person you once were. The Moon relates to emotions and fluctuating moods, while Pluto indicates a deep sense of regeneration. The conjoining of these two powerful orbs in your horoscope shows that you have an innate desire for new relationships, new loves, and new romances.
Sex is very important to you, and you will sometimes involve yourself in a physical relationship in order to satisfy your deep cravings for fulfillment. Even with a totally satisfying physical relationship, however, you will feel frustrated. You want more…you demand the heart and soul as well.
This aspect also indicates that you will not appear to be in control of your emotions. You are a very idealistic person, and you want the best relationship or none at all. You prefer to continue looking rather than settle for second best. If you do not find that perfect someone you will wait and suffer, punishing yourself for craving the depth of human companionship that only an intimate relationship can give you. Even in friendship you choose only close, select companions, for any kind of superficial relationship rubs you the wrong way. In time you will learn to detach yourself from those who want just a casual relationship.
You may live half your life before you discover that a love you had years ago was the one most important to you. But this realization comes too late, for you discarded that love for a new one. Your vulnerability to love allows others to take advantage of you, and your fear of this leads you to be defensive. With your drive, however, you can also take advantage of others. In time you will need to sort out your various experiences in order of their importance to you.
This may sound difficult and hard to live with, but it can be a blessing in disguise when you find and enjoy your true love. If this is the love of your life, it will be deep, emotionally satisfying, and a means for your spiritual growth...
You were born with the Sun in Sagittarius and the Moon in Scorpio. This astrological combination produces an individual who possesses great pride, a determined character, and a hard disposition. You are blunt and sarcastic in speech, and you have a fiery temper. People born under this polarity are thoroughly lacking in diplomacy, and are very superficial in thought and action. They can be led by their friends into almost anything, thus careful training in etiquette and refinement is essential.
You have a kind heart, but it seems as if you are unable to express your feelings. When given proper training though, your fiery nature could be directed toward many positive channels, such as physics, chemistry, or related subjects dealing with fire.
This Sun-Moon polarity also awakens the lower desire nature, which, if not carefully guarded, will cause pain and sorrow. The Moon is in its fall in Scorpio, which means that its influences are weak in this sign. The Moon, ruler of the emotions, does not function well in the sign of war and physical desire.
In matters pertaining to your health, this Sun-Moon polarity gives you great power to resist disease, but there is the liability to colitis and heart afflictions. Problems with the hips, thighs, and the procreative organs are also indicated. Total abstinence from all animal flesh as food is seriously recommended...
The Ascendant (i.e., rising sign) in a horoscope (the Creator's plan for human development) is utilized primordially as a third and very important factor that complements the psychological information given by the combined positions of the Sun and Moon. Figuratively speaking, the Ascendant is the geometrical base that encloses the human triangle where its sides are represent by the individuality and the personality.
At the time of your birth the sign Sagittarius was ascending on the eastern horizon. With Sagittarius rising you often display two entirely different facets of personality. One of these is rather reticent, sensitive and impressionable; the other is courageous and daring, even reckless. You are not easy to know well, by any measure. One of your chief drawbacks is the overemphasis you place on action, rather than its consequences. You are basically sympathetic and driven by your ambition for achievement to action of some kind or another. You cannot tolerate injury or injustice to others; it seems almost a personal affront.
People with Sagittarius rising are usually versatile and clever in several areas at once, which indicates that you are able to master more than one specialty. You are also somewhat impatient of others who are not as active and energetic as you. Constraint or restraint of any kind is unbearable. You are quick to anger, but you recover just as quickly, and you don't often hold a grudge. You comprehend new ideas and ways of life with scarcely any effort, and you're very progressive and clearheaded. Sagittarians carry an exuberant, youthful and happy attitude into old age.
You tend to say what you think at the moment of stimulation, but your basic nature is friendly, even gentle. About the only time you flare up is when your basic ideals are challenged. Above all else, you love and cherish your personal freedom and independence, even though you prefer a simple way of life. You suffer when trapped in a discordant environment, and you will sacrifice everything rather than be tied to an unpleasant situation - albeit person or place.
You are more complex and difficult to understand than you realize. Always observant and alert, you are friendly, outgoing and gregarious - yet your watchfulness of others amounts almost to mistrust, and can result in the very deception you strive to avoid. Your courage can never be questioned, even though you may seem quiet or timid to those you don't know well. You are intelligent and devoted to the spirit (if not the practice) of religious faith. You are good at research and study, and the opinions you hold are almost always unorthodox in nature. Sagittarius rising makes you a reasonable person - with much foresight - whose conversational ability is replete with eloquence.
There's a lukewarm attitude in you toward family ties. Some difficulty with your father amounts to a kind of torment that is worse than actual imprisonment. You were probably separated from your father at an early age. Conversely, you may be separated from your own children, or one of them. Your relationship with siblings is friendly enough, but some trouble is experienced through them. Sagittarius rising also indicates that several marriages are in store for you. One of these is bad for your position and standing in life, but you will manage to extricate yourself. You will travel extensively, but you could be exposed to some danger when away from home. You can anticipate a long and valuable career, and chances are you will end your days peacefully in an area far from your place of birth...
Here are the planetary delineations:
ibrahim

Bawku, Ghana
Mercury is 28 degrees Scorpio.
You are a born investigator. You are fascinated by secrets and mysteries and unanswered questions of any kind. When you become upset or angry, your emotional reactions are overpowering...reason and logic disappear in an uncontrollable passionate outburst. You tend to keep your thoughts secret and bottled up and this makes others regard you with suspicion. It is not that you are trying purposely to be evasive, it's just that you would rather not deal with the explosions and hassles that often occur when you reveal your true feelings and opinions. Your sense of humor tends toward sarcasm and irony.
Venus is 7 degrees Sagittarius.
You are very aware of the need to maintain a high sense of morality in a relationship. Your loyalty and interest will remain constant in any relationship (either friendly, personal or business) that is based on fairness, honesty and justice. But you will become greatly hurt and disappointed if the other person takes any but the high road with you. Also, you cannot tolerate anyone being overly emotionally possessive of you. You are known for your friendly, outspoken manner.
Mars is 26 degrees Libra.
You are very aware of the need to cooperate with others in order to further any effort. You are usually willing to compromise with others, although you can be quite competitive in a friendly way. Very fair-minded and impartial, you have the ability to sense injustice and the desire to take corrective actions to make proper compensations. You see both sides of issues and questions, but you tend to be undecided or wavering when forced to make choices that might make you vulnerable or unpopular.
Jupiter, your life ruler and ruling planet, is 13 degrees Aquarius.
Your personal growth occurs when you have the freedom to do things in new and interesting ways...this brings out your natural inventiveness. You are an individualist, but you are also attracted to mass movements that emphasize social betterment and you will devote much time and energy to their efforts. Very fair-minded and objective, you have extraordinary skills at organization and administration.
Saturn is 2 degrees Sagittarius.
Basically quite conservative, you respect traditional authority-figures, and you are very thankful and supportive of the laws and institutions which govern your life. You learn and accept new ideas only after having very thoroughly examined them. Ideals and abstract concepts are important to you only if they can be used in some practical fashion. You are so practical and so orderly that you have natural skills in planning, administrating and organizing.
Uranus is 18 degrees Sagittarius.
You and most of your peers have the tendency to think that all ideas, customs and traditions from the past are outmoded and irrelevant. You are attracted to radically new ideas, philosophies and religions that will - hopefully - cause sweeping changes throughout the world.
Neptune is 2 degrees Capricorn.
You and your entire generation will idealize work, practicality and the ability to attain reasonable goals. But, because you will also stress the need to be selfless and giving, you may find it difficult to attain your goals unless you have lowered your expectations on all fronts.
Pluto is i6 degrees Scorpio.
For your entire generation this is a period of intense research and discovery in areas that were heretofore considered mysterious, remote or taboo. The root causes for many complex occurrences will be unearthed due to the intensity and thoroughness of the search.
The Moon's North Node is 8 degrees Taurus.
It's not in your nature to seek out many casual acquaintances in your daily round of activities. You feel much more comfortable with a small, close-knit group of people...those with whom you can relax and work toward known and clearly-defined goals. Your loyalty to a person or group, once given, is forever...you'll expend all of your quite considerable energy in seeing that the group stays together and prospers. You choose your partners and relationships so carefully that you're bound to gain certain advantages from them, including those of a material nature. Be careful though not to let mere self-service be your motivation in establishing your connections...make sure that there's an even give-and-take!
"It's been a struggle for me because I had a chance to be white and refused..."
(My man Richard...the greatest of them all...a Sagittarian (12/1/'40) with the Moon in Capricorn and Pisces rising.)

No they're not...and what you reposted is from Bro. ibrahim's horoscope. If you have the Moon in the 12th house conjuncting Pluto in your horoscope, then this interpretation applies to you also...
omowalejabali 10-16-2006, 09:15 AM Affirmation for this week of FAITH--"When I act with faith, I transcend obstacles with ease. I remain connected to Spirit no matter what."
The moon's journey through Leo will bring fresh insights into matters of the heart. If a situation you have no control over throws you off balance emotionally, try to just FOCUS ON YOUR OWN NEEDS while you restructure your boundaries. Avoid gossip or speculation, or you could end up repeating a lie. Your tarot is the World, which is reminding you to be grateful for the abundance of support that family and friends bring to your world.
OmowaleX 11-28-2006, 07:00 PM Sagittarius is the ninth sign of the zodiac, which the Sun transits during the last month of autumn, from about November 22nd to about December 20th.
Ron Dellums, Redd Foxx, Berry Gordy, Robert Guillaume, Jimmy Hendrix, Bo Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Florence Griffith-Joyner, Don King, Mickey Leland, Donovan McNabb, Gordon Parks, Billy Paul, Richard Pryor, Lou Rawls, Tim Reid, Tina Turner, Cicely Tyson, Dionne Warwick, Grover Washington, Jr., Maurice White, Joe Williams and Flip Wilson...

i can always remember how long ago she made the statement "i will continue to exist in this space because it pleases me to do so", because that is the day/year that i was born! so, for me, "that is the job i was born to do", literally!

KWABENA 12-16-2008, 11:07 PM Sagittarius, the Archer, is the third sign of the Fire triplicity and the ninth sign of the tropical zodiac. This freedom-loving sign is ruled by Jupiter, Lord of Fortune and Expansion. The key phrase for Sagittarius is "I see".
The symbols for Sagittarius are the hunter (archer) and the centaur, a mythical half-man, half-horse. These signify the search for truth and knowledge, as well as the constant pursuit of adventure and new ideas. Intellectual curiosity covers a wide range of subjects, but Sagittarius does get bored and restless when surrounded by dull people or circumstances.
Honest Opinions
Sagittarians would rather learn on their own, through travel and experience, than endure structured classroom environments and routine work assignments. However, having broadened their knowledge and gained experience in the world on their own, they could become excellent teachers or administrators in the very educational system they once found so restricting.
Frank Sagittarius does not hesitate to give an honest opinion, which can seem tactless at times – although it is rarely the intention to be cruel. Sagittarian people have a ready wit and appreciate the humour in even the grimmest of situations.

OMG! If it wasn't for something I read in another thread, I would have forgotten all about this!
If one could just acknowledge the Sagittarian approach to the Western Education System, it would save me alot of time! This is definitely not the first time I had to bring this subject matter up. Don't get me wrong - some Professors, Instructors, Facilitators, and Teachers are very effective, but when it comes to obvious western "stuff," and you are telling it to someone striving to Know Themselves and their Afrikan roots, well...actions speak for words in that regard.
I have heard of Bros. Kwesi and Bobby Hemmitt. In fact, I have also heard of Bro. Phil Valentine. However, I did not find out about them until after I established my own Personal Library, and would prefer to complete reading everything in my Library before I get a hold of Kwesi & em's works. Yes, true - most of Kwesi's lectures are DVDs, but it still requires book research and documentation. Works like that would take me weeks!

Peace Bro!
Such a response started to humor me as well, but then I understand where it comes from. It is almost like when I have my moments someone is curious about something, and I explain it to them the best way I can, they would respond by saying something to the effect of "Dang! You know all the answers!" Well hey - much of what I know did indeed come from just simply paying attention to things and people around the world. I would learn just as much in a single 90-minute bus trip than I would a 120-minute class lecture.
By the way, to answer your question, it sure is just like a Sag!

Astrologer4U 12-19-2008, 10:23 PM OMG!

Well, let me let you in on something...Ashra Kwesi is a Sag, his wife is an Aquarius. Also, Bobbi Hemmitt, he is a Sag. Not only that, Bobbi also has a Leo Moon.....hmmm sound familiar? hahahaha

I like that, but I like to see them in multiple ways. To be specific, I like to practice 'Creative Listening' by giving more attention to the movements of those eyes, ears, hands, while moving simultaneously with the one mouth. It takes time to get used to, but it's worth it!
Talk is cheap, and when you are in a culture bombarded with verbiage as opposed to direct action, what does that say about that culture? (or, the people of that culture)
On that note, I also recommend 'Mental Fasts,' which would lead to what I perceive as Intuitive Deduction (or to borrow a term from a book I read, Crap Detection). The less ["stuff"] you have on your mind, the better off you are, and all the more room for that which is worth keeping on your mind.
What'cha think?

Talk is cheap, and when you are in a culture bombarded with verbiage as opposed to direct action, what does that say about that culture? (or, the people of that culture)yeah, all form and no substance. it really matters more what is inside, and how well it works, than what it looks like on the outside. i intentionally live that practice; folks will do their best to pretend that they don't see me because i refuse to play the "gq" game. it's really sad to watch the eyes of passing Black Folk and see them not seeing me! it's even sadder when them white women that "everybody would call good looking" have smiles in their eyes as they speak first! <shudder> it would be so easy to end this 5 year loneliness!

yup; drop all preconceptions and let the item present it's own definitions. no matter how many times i have done something, each and every time i do anything, i work at it as if i have never seen it before and must most carefully examine each aspect to be sure i'm getting it close to right. most times this teaches me something new about whatever it is. this way, Life is always new.
i once used a tagline of "when i grow up, i wanna be a little kid!"; always looking at life with fresh eyes full of wonder. (and with years of refining that "crap detector", i have no problem with being sold "a bill of goods"; i don't have to have "the best" - "good enough" is just fine!)

Actually, I was just trying to get you to see the whole Religion, Spiritual, Philosphical, Travel, Foreign land Sag thing. Kwesi and Hemmit are both Sag's and they are both into the same thing... You know all of those things and reasons for why you see why you no longer wish to attend college anymore.

OK - i'll be much more direct.
Yes, that is what I meant by seeing where I am headed. Although I plan to do a bit more than what these fellas are doing. Then again, we never know what is to come in the future...we just may see the Kwesi Family build a new school tomorrow! (Lord willing)
But yeah - although it may be common that Sags would lose interest just like that, I feel that we have different reasons. My reasoning certainly does not stop at "I would just rather learn on my own;" I could always get specific. Nevertheless, some of us just feel better learning outside the confines of a public school system.

That's what i'm talking about! Shoot - I don't look down on the American Education experience for nothing! If you pay attention to the instructor as opposed to the instruction, you notice how they teach as though they don't care, so why should I care? Oh - I know why, because, according to the naysayers, "they hold your grade in the palm of their hands!" Perhaps they do, but that is a heck of a way to lead by example. (by the way, I do not take shoving Fear down my throat and intimidation too kindly)

What keeps me from being saddened by this, is being mindful that I will see them all over the world with the same attitudes and expressions...why get hung up on a select few who refuse to "see?" Speaking of the white women, I find it hillarious how those same people who refuse to see will not miss a white woman smiling at them. Not only will their eyes be open, but through their deceptive tactics, other things can be open as well!

Exactly! The benefit of being capable of thinking and reasoning "outside the box."

KWABENA 11-25-2009, 02:39 PM Peace Fellow Sags,
I know this is very late, but unfortunately accessing Destee from my Blackberry isn't going as pleasant as I thought.
I want to take the time to wish all of you a Happy Earth-B-day in advance. The Sun is well enough into Sagittarius to show that the Sagittarian season has begun. My Earth-B-day is coming up next Thursday, and I can not even be sure I will be here on my own Day.
Meanwhile, I want to encourage all of you to enjoy your Days to the fullest, and enjoy many more years to come!
