Celebrating Nigerian Film

The Nigerian Film industry has grown rapidly to become the third largest film producing industry in the world after Hollywood in the US and Bollywood in India.

The Nollywood Foundation, Inc. (NF) aims to bring Nigerian films and culture to an international audience, to serve as a forum for new ideas and contexts, and to encourage Nigerian cultural development projects in film and new media.The Nollywood Foundation is a collaborating partner of Film Independent, organizers of the Los Angeles Film Festival (LAFF), for the 2008 Nollywood Foundation Convention in Los Angeles. I would hold my praise regading this.
There are literaly thousands of these films, good dramas, soap operas and comedy but not one film that I can show to children at church, or the Block association about Nigerias great history and civilzations, or anything out of all those films about their revolution againt the British.
