We (from the "GroupThink Project (http://destee.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=290)" assembly) are looking to start a Destee.com online Newsletter.
A Mock Newsletter (http://destee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56285&highlight=destee.com+news) has already been done. If you have some web designing or website building skills and would like to get involved in this in any way, please let us know by responding to this thread.

Will it be dynamic, or will it have to continually have to be monitored by a webmaster??
How will articles/info be submitted?

I would imagine that it will be dynamic (not having to be monitored). Any comments that are left by people, should be put in corresponding threads on Destee. That would bring in more members.
But that is my thought on the subject. Zulile I believe would have a better idea about this than I.
We haven't yet decided exactly how the info on each article/newsletter will collected before submission.
But if you have any ideas on how info should be submitted (rather we designate certain people to write, or just pull from the thread), please let us know.

phynxofkmt 04-12-2009, 01:20 AM i was thinking, that maybe to give the site a fresh look, and to minimize development time & costs we could purchase a template and customize it ourselves. Now, I don't program, but I can html edit which is a portion of the project.
Take a look here at this design and tell me what you think, replacing the graphics with our own inhouse design by Brother Meta, etc...

I was approached sometime ago to put my web design skills to use to assist in
the relaunch of Destee's forum and am not sure how much time I can provide but I
can definitely pass along some useful information that will facilitate this
project.
There is a website www.joomla.org that is an open source content management
system. Albeit I have yet to use the software, my due diligence
does suggest that this would be the tool of choice.
I myself have never worked with Joomla but will be launching 2 projects using
the technology and therefore will become quite familiar with the tool in the
foreseeable future.
