give it up
i want my money!

When I read those words, my first thought was,
sounds like some a pimp would say:)

Sir. Richness, I feel you.

If a man has full custody of the children and has lesser means, then by all means, file
but when he’s doing alright, financially and has partial custody
of the children I don’t feel he should. But that's just my sense of it:)

Thanks for engaging James and Rich... I appreciate it, BIGTIME!

Now on the alimony tip I got this to say; She can keep her money cause the only thing that lives off of somebody else's a-- is a leech and a tick and they're both blood suckers...and just like I don't want none from her she ain't gettin none from me unless she's blind or cripple.

Men should get alimony and more for all the stuff they have to put up with

Depends.

If there are children involved and the care of those children will make it hard for the primary care giver to work then yes. If both parties are equally eligible for work then it's okay. That's the politically correct answer.

I know this will open a can of worms but..... there is something unmanly and punk-like about a man requesting alimony.

I believe that if you can sustain your life without alimony from your ex then you should not ask for it. I got a divorce and my ex husband asked for everything from and if I didnt give it to him he wanted alimony. Doing things like that never get you anywhere. If you have children if you can not sustain the life style the two of you had when ou were together, then you should get alimony.

I heard that language in the movies, of course!:)

Good feels good doesn’t?

Keite,

I agree. But add children live off of parents until they are able to live on their own.

Kemetstry,
I’s not gonna touch that…

I feel the same as you. Welcome to Destees!:)

I asked this question, because I have a friend who’s husband is taking her to the cleaners. He wants half her 401k, pension, the house, alimony, child support when he only has the kids 2 days a week, that is if he doesn‘t come up with some reason he can‘t get them… he’s even trying to get her to sale her car and give him half of that money.

Sad thing is, he didn’t have much when she met him and she helped put him through school. And he makes decent money.

Thanks guys for your input, it was well received
