My dearest son my one and only the beat to my heart is what you are

As tears begin to well I really do not know where to start

So let me just say…..how much I truely love you

And although at first I did not know how to receive your lastest news

Things are so much clearer to me now that my eyes and heart

Where given the opportunity to see how much she loves you

I also know that you love her dearly too

You see son, you are MY baby

Not use to hearing another woman say those words

And be speaking to you ….and although I knew one day you would meet

A woman that would nest inside your heart

I guess I was expecting some kind of warning

To prepare me for that day, you kept tryn to tell me

I fought it in every way

But I really should have known better and took you more seriously

Because there is one thing I know about you

Not Just any little chick will do I know there have been many

But I have only met 2

that tells me something about you

You don’t bring just anything home to mama

That was my 1st confirmation that she was very special to you

I’ve had sometime to meditate, process it and think it through

No longer am I feeling abandon like someone stole my joy

I know you are a grown man now, no longer my little boy

To tell you the truth son, I am very happy for you

You have matured so much in so many ways

your priorities are different now from past days

I know you think I have not noticed it but I have

And I am proud of you

She is such a sweet young woman and an awesome mother too

My heart is at peace now that I know

She will be a wonderful mother to your child too

I really don’t appreciate you making me

A grandmother so soon, and if you ever call me that

You will have flash backs of when you where in school

And the teacher would call me sayn’ you done

something you wasn’t suppose to

Don’t act you don’t remember…..(smile)

Seriously my son I am pleased that you have managed to do

What so many men wish and dream about

even men much older than you

find a woman that truely loves you for you

I wish the both of you much happiness in everything you decide to do

And yes I will be spoiling the baby rotten

I have a lot of practice from doing it to you

I know yall think the baby is a little boy

But Im pulling for a little girl, you know what I want to do

Comb her hair, dress her up, and teach her the girly pretty stuff

All that stuff I like to do

but either way it ends up son it will still be cool

because I will love he or she just the same

because he or she will be a part of YOU

Love,

Mom

Just know that you're not losing a Son...
but gaining a Daughter, which can only double your pleasure

Awww... In a way, our children will always be our babies, even when know they've grown up. But you acknowledge your feelings, go through the motions, and happily see that he's a man now, with a loving woman on his arm. This was such a beautiful expression, wow!
