This article stood out to me as someone that has written three books and knows how much time and effort it requires. Some people try for years to land a publishing contract. To see how these deals come to celebrities and how these two flushed it away is sad. We know these were quick hit money maker books for the publisher that would sell off the author’s celebrity factor. These probably would have been ghost written and still nothing. Give these kinds of chances to those that are truly trying and wouldn’t dare stiff a publisher.

it's just one of those things that goes along with being a celebrity. I remember coming into college I was a journalism major who had aspirations of working in the field of sports. As the years passed I started to take notice of how a lot of the spots in the field of sports journalism were being taken by former athletes who already had their foot in the door.......The same goes for singers who want to act, or actors/actresses who want to sing, etc. The corporate world thrives on familiarity, because audiences are comfortable with people they already know........
