I have a sad announcement. Some of you may have already had this information, but it’s new to me. I am typing this with tearstained cheeks. I just don’t know how I’m going to go on…. But…. There is LARD in Jiffy corn muffin mix!

Why didn’t anyone tell me???!!!! I thought we were supposed to be family. I have been eating Jiffy my entire life and would defend it’s use like I was the Jiffy spokesperson. I DO NOT eat pork and this means I cannot go back. Is there any other food harboring contraband that I need to be aware of?

well that makes three of us...I usually dont by jiffy but crusteaze(dont kno about it either) but I was in the market and it was like 55 cent a box i brought two of the muffin mixes and we never cook with lard around here...oh well

Dat mus be a southern thing. this hadda be the worst kept secret ever. Just get your mix from the heath food area. BTW, they actually at onetime had 2 versions. One with the oink and the other without.

Just to let you know so there won't be anymore surprises, a lot of supermarket bread, pastries, butters, cheese, ice creams, canned goods (beans, soups), soap (Ivory, Coast, Dial), Lotions, medicines, and more contain swine in it. Also fast food too. Here in the west coast there are a lot of Mexican restaurants and Mexicans love to use swine in their cooking (tortilla, soups, tamales, etc). I have also read that swine is used to process white sugar. Oh yea. Next time you think you need your vaccinations. They are also made with animal products (chicken, cow, and let us not forget the famous swine). ALWAYS REMEMBER TO READ THE LABELS AND FOLLOW THE LOGIC. WHEN HAS THE SLAVE MASTER (WHITE AMERICA) EVER GIVEN WHOLESOME FOOD TO THEIR SLAVES (BLACK FOLKS). THE DEVIL THREW THE SWINE TO OUR GRANDMOTHERS (HER PAYMENT) AFTER ZIPPING HIS PANTS UP AND TODAY THEY STILL THROW THE SWINE TO US. Y'all orange Fanta Has fish in it. That's one of my all time favorites. Makes me wonder if all orange soda has fish. Although it is not listed in the Ingredients on the can, a fish derivative is used to stabilize the Beta-Carotene (E16).

I'm going to need a list of everything with swine in it. I have already stopped using toilettries with swine, but I am having a hard time finding something to wash my clothes with. Any suggestions?

There are corn bread on the shelf that are tasty w/o the pig!
You just have to pic the right ones.
Look on the back and see what the ingredients are(Usually if they include eggs they are good) THe milk I like to add myself(along with a few other things)

I was taken back to see it was Amway, but if it does what I need it to do and it doesn't contain swine then who cares. Do the laundry products contain swine in them? Or any kind of animal product whatsoever?

The Ingredients are available to view sis...and from what i saw....Non were used. Let me know if there is anything Different.:)
