How would you go about getting local book stores to host a book signing???

It is quite simple to get local stores to host a signing. First contact the owner or manager by phone and inquire about submitting a review kit. After they've received it they will normally contact you with a reply. If, after 3 weeks you haven't heard from them phone again. They are usually very receptive to hosting signings for they give added traffic to their stores. And they even supply the refreshments!
