We had a Sister here, that was a Hebrew Israelite. She's not been home in awhile. She taught a class and everything, every week. A Teacher! :) A very sweet Sister, a young Mother, Beautiful Children, Everything. I never felt any kind of energy from her, never heard anything from her, like was in that video.

That video, hearing Brothers say those things, was frightening. Talk about a scary movie, whew.

Brother Knowledge Seed, I've talked to these brothers before on the street and I get the feeling that they are a little disgruntled with the attitudes of black women in New York City. Note that I said in New York City!! As far as the stuck up attitudes, acting mean and hateful all of the time towards brothers THAT THEY DON'T KNOW...WITHOUT REASON...ON A DAILY BASIS can wear on a brother in New York City. The vast majority of the brothers feel this way even if they don't admit it. But basically I believe that that is the root of their anger. With that said I understand how they feel but I definately disagree with how they handled the situation. Down south black women are a totally different woman as a whole.

I wasn't going to say anything else in this thread. I wasn't going to say what i'm about to say, but now you've made me ... lol ... yes, it's all your fault! :)

As i watched those Brothers in that first video, i saw Big Strong Black Men. All of those Brothers were Brothers that i'd easily be trying to holler at, in some other context. Those were Brothers that look like Brothers that i see all the time. Those Brothers are the Sons, Cousins, Uncles, Nephews, Fathers, of us all. Those Brothers are just the next step, of what's to come, if we don't turn this thing around. It was almost like a preview ... yes, a preview ... of what's to come, if we don't fix our stuff ... quick, fast, and in a hurry.

Brothers are angry. Brothers feel a lot of frustration, and pain, and it's getting to the level that they think nothing of Sisters ... how they treat us, how they treat the children we bear them, how they talk to us, what they call us, if they are true to us ... none of that. It's almost as though we have become disposal to them.

Of course this is not all Brothers ... but i hear the stories, i see the pain, i hear of Brothers killing each other, i see the children without a Father, i see the mistreatment, i see Brothers choosing other women (even men), over us. It seems that things are getting worse, not better, and Brothers are carrying a big part of that on their back (and rightfully so, being they are the Men).

As i watched that video, i imagined those same Brothers, on that same street, in front of those same people ... quoting their own scripture, from their own book, written by them ... lifting up their people, showing true solidarity to us, looking even bigger, badder, and bolder, than they were then!

Whew ... the thought of that kinda got me excited! :D

Those are our Brothers, many of them ... and we have to see the pain that is in them, and diffuse it, dilute it, redirect it ... whatever we must do, to turn it around and make it work for us, and not against us.

If we let it continue unchecked, as is, we'll be living that nightmare ... and you already know ... we don't die, we multiply! :lol:

If part of the reason that they are doing this is because of women's attitudes, than they are even more psychologically damaged than I would have ever thought. You explained some of the dynamic between some of these black men and women in New York City. That's very unfortunate for that city, but I'm from the south and not all black women are what they portray them to be.
I come across black women everyday, and some have beautiful radiant personalities and some of them have rotten personalities. But never, never, never shall that justify misogynistic and sadistic views of women.

I rewatched the video for a second time . . . their deep seated vile, sadistic hatred is coming from a whole other plateau. They sound like a bunch of "diehard dl closet punks". I never said that I agree with what they are saying. I was just giving the reason WHY? That's all. I would NEVER in my life suggest killing black women as a solution to our problems. That is absurd!

This is truly disheartening to hear and see these black men uttering these words But unfortunately, where Youtube is concerned, they are not the first black men to spew words of hatred for the black woman, and I fear they are a growing population. :11600: Hell, there's even websites created for the expressed purpose of denigrating black women. Angry Black Men and Black Men Vent are two I can think of off the top of my head. Black Men Vent being the more atrocious of the two. The men there talk about every thing from beating black women to putting us in "our place".

When I get a chance I'll link to the site. I know one thing, the continuing vibe I get from the men there is one of low self esteem having elitist who feel that they're not be recognized and worshiped for their accolades in this life the way they feel they should, and that frustration has turned into pure hate. Have known them for many years. these are the same brothers that would DIE protecting that sister.
