why do we seem to lose our totally self
so blindly in a notion of love like a bliss
of some erotic thang
romancing the thought of being
knowing it can't be
and won't happen
yet we stand so blind in love
making a relationship that never was
it's just a blind love.......of mix emotions:confused:

Is that love or lust?
Is that love or infatuation?
Is that love or loneliness and desperation?

"love" ain't "eros"; its "agape". "eros" is lust: if there is a thought of "some erotic thang" that thought, and that "love", is lustful.
we do "lose our totally self". Love is a Joining; a Building of a new/different "I"/"Self". if there are any thoughts, energies, emotions or considerations of the "this is mine and that is your's" variety then there is no need for y'all to be there - cause, yes, you're just "romancing the thought of", and not "Being", the Love.

if one "knows" it can't be, then it won't be. but there ain't much of a relationship built on "eros", so one is probably better off anyway; "blind lust" don't build much of a cohesive, "nuclear family" based community, or so current evidence would seem to suggest.
(agape (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agape) - divine, unconditional, self-sacrificing, active, volitional, and thoughtful love. Greek philosophers at the time of Plato and other ancient authors have used forms of the word to denote love of a spouse or family, or affection for a particular activity, in contrast to philia—an affection that could denote either brotherhood or generally non-sexual affection, and eros, an affection of a sexual nature.)

if you're in love and miserable then only[you]are in it,not the other person and that means that you're wasting your-time-money-emotions on someone who doesn't feel the same, this is what you do...have yourself a good cry[oh and for all you big tough macho men-when the lovejones comes down you gonna cry too]pick up your pride and move on and don't feel bad it wasn't meant to be,because when true love does happen you're gonna go-WHEW I'M GLAD I GOT OUTTA THAT.
