I'm sure you all will see the Blinking Blue Member Names (4 of them), and i need to know how distracting it is to you.

Blinking text on a web page, has been likened to the worst thing you can do to a page.

It doesn't really bother me that much, so i'm wondering how you all feel about it.

The reason the Blinking Blue Member Names exist, is because they are our 2008 Monthly Winners (http://destee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52107).

Please let me know what you think about the blinking ... does it make you want to leave, and never return?!

Take a peek.

If you click on their name above, or a post by any of them, you'll see their name blinking and blue.

It will blink and be blue for a month, until we get our next 4 winners for next month ... then they'll blink and be blue! :)

Ohhhhh okay, so you see no blink ??!!! Wow ... okay ... you must be using Internet Explorer ? ... i didn't even check to see how it loads there ... i'm using Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/) ... and the blink'n can be a bit distracting for some ... so i wanted to take a poll !! :D

Blinking is not supported by Internet Explorer (because the technology was originated by Netscape, a Microsoft rival). To see blinking text you will need another browser such as Netscape Navigator (soon to be extinct) or Mozilla Firefox (which can be downloaded for free).

dang, i could almost wish i were using internet exploiter ... ;-\

well, as long as there ain't too much blinking going on - four users per month ain't too bad ... <crossing fingers> ... i hope. and since i don't surf using the internet's notions of aesthetics, i don't see the color anyway.

I really didn't see the blink until you mentioned it. Because of that, it's really not annoying. Just don't add music that assaults you the minute you click on the name. :bazooka: :band:

trouble me none so few it won't hurt the page infact the blue is cool
