To see BLACK CHILDREN learning the BASICS of SAVINGS from WHITE PEOPLE means PARENTS did not learn from our ANCESTORS or IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS who MASTER the ART of SAVING.

STARTING OVER in the NATION has become a NATIONAL PASTTIME.

If you dont know RUTHLESS WHITE DEVICES by NOW there is a HIGH CHANCE nobody will want to even TRY in the FUTURE.

Maybe that's why there is VIDEOS to TEACH YOURSELF.

Oh well.

Students get a taste of the real world
Girls from District 150 learn about responsibility during program at InPlay

PEORIA - BreAija Porter didn't realize how much it costs each month to keep her stomach full.

"I thought it cost, maybe, $50," BreAija, 11, a student at Calvin Coolidge Middle School, said after completing the "Welcome to the Real World" simulation at InPlay on Monday morning.
She was one of about 75 District 150 girls in grades eight through 12 to participate in the program, sponsored by the Women's Advisory Board for Financial Literacy and moderated by the University of Illinois Extension in East Peoria.
"Financial education is important for everyone," said Jennifer Hunt, an extension educator. "Writing checks is a skill they need to have."
Each of the girls began the day pretending to be 25 years old and choosing an occupation from a list of nearly 175 possibilities. "Doctor" was not listed because the necessary schooling would not be completed by age 25.
They were then given a monthly salary, based on averages for entry-level salaries gleaned from national labor statistics for each occupation and told how much they paid in taxes. From there, they were encouraged to put 10 percent of their gross income into a fictional savings account.
"We need to make sure we're paying ourselves first," Hunt said.
The girls then chose from housing options, which type of new car to buy, insurance plans, one of three grocery groupings, utilities, clothing and entertainment. With each choice, they had to write a check for the amount and subtract it from their bank account, just as they would do in the real world.
Finally, each girl was told to draw a card at the "Deck of Chance" table and would either owe or receive money. Some of the cards included a $20 reward for finding a lost wallet, a $50 loss for bouncing a check and spending $85 to redecorate a bedroom.
Many of the girls ended up in the red by the end of the simulation, but 11-year-old Brittany Moore-Sharp, a student at Roosevelt Magnet School, managed her money very wisely. She chose secondary education as an occupation, netting her $2,315 per month. After choosing the lower-priced options at each station, including purchasing a small truck and eating just three lunches out per month, she was left with a balance of $767.
"I had to choose from many things that I wanted and make good choices," she said, as she pretended to write checks to her other group members who hadn't made such wise choices.
BreAjia was not quite as fiscally responsible and was on the receiving end of one of Brittany's fictitious checks. She began the day as a bank teller, and her checking account started with $1,055.
She chose to rent an apartment for $600, didn't take the option of life insurance and chose the lowest plan for groceries, which cost $150. However, she did choose to include long distance and cellular phone service to her utilities bill.
Her biggest surprise of the day came at the Deck of Chance table, where she learned she had to pay a veterinarian $100 for her sick dog.
"You got a dog?" Brittany asked.
BreAija shrugged and looked at the $420 negative balance recorded in her checkbook. "I guess I did."

Double entry accounting is 700 years old.

How hard can it be with today's computers?

With computers it would be easy. But I think accounting is one of those 'father - son' trades like priesthood that cannot be taught classwide but in a personal setting.

It's tedious as the fifth graders said.

But at least, they will have no excuse if they did get a lesson in it.

But I think the NATION is going to do some FORCING or MANDATORY AGAIN since its BEGINNING...

LAWS have been PASSED to FORCE HIGH SCHOOL and COLLEGE STUDENTS to take PERSONAL MANAGEMENT course...

Which I find quite SILLY in the NATION

Check out these videos:

All of the accounting books I have seen stink.

I have two books that retail for $100 and have 1000 pages between them. Neither of them has a single diagram of cash flow. It's all WORDS, WORDS, WORDS with accounting forms to fill out that are just about obsolete with today's computers. They teach memorization not comprehension.

What is the point of memorizing the difference between sole proprietorship, partnership and corporation before you understand what a chart of accounts is? The sole proprietor needs to know a chart of accounts even if he never incorporates. Understand the important ideas then expand the details if the student wants/needs it.

Every individual needs to do his accounting just as if he was a sole proprietor.

And they don't emphasize depreciation enough either. Oh yeah, they want us all to be dumb consumers that buy lots of stuff that depreciates. :bawling:

I think there must be a reason behind it.

Accounting and computers shouldn't even be a second thought.

However if we do want teachers where would we get them????

In 1998, the median annual earnings of accountants and auditors were $37,860. The middle half of the occupation earned between $29,840 and $49,460. The top 10 percent of accountants and auditors earned more than $76,160, and the bottom decile earned less than $23,800. Accountants and auditors earn slightly more in urban areas. In 1997, median annual earnings in the industries employing the largest numbers of accountants and auditors were:
Accounting, Auditing, and Bookkeeping $38,100
State Government, except Education and Hospitals 35,900
Federal Government 43,100
Local Government, except Education and Hospitals 36,400
Commercial Banks 35,700

Nothing about teaching children about the importance of accounting. So if these are where all the authors come from no wonder accounting remains ALOOF from the masses.

Most if not all books are just to STUFF the HEADS of CONFUSED COLLEGE STUDENTS and make sure they TASTE the SOUR GRAPES of DEBT.

I wouldn't want to WASTE a CHILD'S TIME with SUCH.

I like the way children learn to be an ADULT and they find out how DEPRESSING we made the WORLD for them.

From their perspective I can see WHY.

Question: How would you separate MATH and MONEY concepts in ACCOUNTING? Can ACCOUNTING be used to COUNT BEANS like in DAYS OLD?

Also any knowledge on the DIFFERENCE of an ACCOUNTANT and AUDITOR?

Maybe that could be the ANSWER.

But the math can be a lot more fun than the accounting trivia.

Also any knowledge on the DIFFERENCE of an ACCOUNTANT and AUDITOR?

I am not talking about accounting with the intent of encouraging people to get jobs as accountants. If that is what they want fine. I am talking about EVERYONE knowing enough accounting to better play the unavoidable economic power games.

All of the accounting books I have seen explain the difference between Sole Proprietorship vs Partnership vs Corporation before they explain what a Chart of Accounts is. An individual managing his finances is like a Sole Proprietorship and needs to know what a Chart of Accounts is. He doesn't need to know about partnerships and corporations unless he is trying to work as an accountant. That is not what I am on about.

I think the schools are being traditionalist and deliberately keeping the tedium in. Of course the book publishers want to keep selling books so they need to be changed every few years.

An auditor undoubtedly needs to take more courses and get more certifications as determined by the instituions hiring such people. I am into electronics and computers professionally but I have to make financial decisions and manage my apartment building. Make decisions regarding income and expenses and all that.

Of course, I am on the borders of ELECTRONICS. Not a 3-D MASTER but I am more PRACTICAL at it then THEORETICAL.

I have a FRIEND and PARTNER I communicate with OVERSEAS in the land of TECHNOLOGY and he tells me what and who is DOING WHAT in TECHNOLOGY.

I met him during my DAYS of LEARNING about NATIONS and this WORLD.

So I know the HEADS UP on COMPONENTS in CONSUMER BUSINESS here in the US.

I have a PLAN involving US and ELECTRONICS but it MAY BE QUITE FOOLISH....

It goes like this

How about with these TOY RECALLS, I can take a SET of "BROTHERS and SISTERS" to HELP ME BREAK UP these TOYS and LEARN about those CHEAP BEAT BOXES that are inside them. You know when a DOLL talks and SING to YOU.

Figure out how to TAKE THEM APART and PUT THEM TOGETHER AGAIN leading to REPROGRAM them.

Now we have ARTIST in the COMMUNITY and we can STUFF those BEATBOXES into a BLACK TOY (DESIGNER) and RESELL it on the "BLACK" MARKET.

If you study HONG KONG CHINA, they started with TOY ELECTRONICS of this NATURE.

We have to START SOMEWHERE.

But in the NATION even thats TO MUCH to ASK FOR.

If I can get a SMALL SET of BLACK BROTHERS and SISTERS, I think "we" can TRANSFORM the NATION well on the very least the COMMUNITY.

Oh well.

It should not be TOO HARD for US to DO...

That is why this is HAPPENING...

Last of a dying breed connects with service (http://www.canada.com/windsorstar/news/business/story.html?id=7e61055c-a5a6-4207-98a6-d54afdafdbe9&k=49750)

ANY this PLAN aint NEW its just a LEARNING EXERCISE...

I need to revise that PLAN...

However what I would like to say it's a lesson in TEAMWORK.

I have not seen us involved with TEAMWORK these DAYS.

Which is VERY TROUBLING.

I think people know ACCOUNTING but in LIFE there are too many DISTRACTION to FINE TUNE it. Plus on a COMMUNITY LEVEL, it is not even DISCUSSED.

If schools are going to TEACH IT, is there a way for the COMMUNITY to benefit from it NOW.

Maybe having LIBRARIANS recommend it for PARENTS a book list when they visit the LIBRARY to spend some TIME with their CHILDREN.

LIBRARIANS in the NATION are using ACCOUNTING and COMPUTERS so well that if you own a COUPLE of cents they have COLLECTIONS RUN UP on your RESIDENCE for lack of PAYMENT.

Every one is PRACTICING ACCOUNTING but to practice being a MANAGER of DEBT. Yours and my DEBT.

What I am saying is will ALL OUT ACCOUNTING taught NOW ALLEVIATE the CRISIS of DEBT the NATION is CRUSHED WITH.

We want INSTANT RESULTS (really BENEFITS).

The young ladies in the article above even though they may have an EDGE based on PRINCIPALS of ACCOUNTING sooner or later the ENVIRONMENT will SMOOTH it all OUT.

Now that is SAD.

SOME examples of ACCOUNTING...

I was on a TRIP stopped at a SUPERMARKET to get some REFRESHMENTS...

Was in LINE there was a WHITE LADY with HER BABY in front of ME at the CASHIER...

The CASHIER rang her BILL UP and she PULLED OUT ROLLS and ROLLS of QUARTERS DIMES NICKELS and PENNIES

Not ONE DOLLAR BILL or FIVE DOLLAR BILL etc....

So the CASHIER (white girl teenager) looked at this TASK, HESISTANT and started to get to WORK with COUNTING those COINS

There was a BAGGER (white girl teenager) there too and she FINISHED her BAGGING and HELPED her COUNT...

I was there and I said WOW this is AMAZING

The white lady with her baby said to me, SORRY for taking up so much TIME,

I said HEY NO PROBLEM...

There was a BLACK LADY behind me and she saw what was happening SHE LEFT....

I saw how the CASHIER and the BAGGER ORGANIZED and COUNTED all those COINS.....

Their ACCOUNTING reveal their METHOD of THINKING...

The BAGGER was more FINE TUNED at the TASK then the CASHIER....

The CASHIER lost COUNT at ONE POINT and finally RETALLY the FIGURES

I watched for about 5 minutes AMAZED....

and the BABY did not CRY it was actually PEACEFUL...

Hey I even TRIED it with the COMMUNITY....

COUNTING PENNIES NICKLES DIMES with the YOUTH

I give them CREDIT they can COUNT to INFINITY...

But asking an ADULT to do the SAME they want a MACHINE to do the WORK

We have become QUITE LAZY at it.

If you cant count from your BRAIN a COMPUTER cannot HELP YOU or make THINGS EASIER

Oh well.

I have more perhaps later

Accounting situation...

I talked to some LADIES.

One lady said, this weekend I went to some MALL with ONE FRIEND (about 50 to 60 MILES AWAY) and got a SALE of EDDIE BAUER JEANS at HALF PRICE to about 7 DOLLARS.

(I say to myself who is EDDIE BAUER, again I am DUMB, born of IGNORANCE)

Another lady said, OH YEAH I wish I was there with YOU, why didnt you tell me this EARLIER...I would have went with you.

Then I wondered if you had to TRAVEL 50 to 60 miles to SOME MALL I dont THINK YOU SAVED ANY MONEY....

Just FOOD and GAS and TRAFFIC alone CONSUMED all those GAINS.

So I did the ACCOUNTING and GUESS WHAT IT DID NOT BREAK EVEN for BOTH of THEM the TWO LADIES who WENT DRIVING to the MALL. Only ONE was able to CLAIM a WIN or GAIN from SUCH a VENTURE.

I have tried to TALLY SOME FIGURES for the COMMUNITY in such a SIMILAR FASHION but it's like HITTING a BRICK WALL.

If ANYBODY know how to TEACH US this PRINCIPAL please DONT HOLD BACK...

I actually said it was NICE TALKING to YOU LADIES...

Oh well.
