Abusua,

Just what is the goal of Afrikan people in America?

1. Equal parity (social, political, economic) in America.

2. Separate Nation-State

3. Repatriation

4. Oblivious Invisibility

5. Whitening/Race Annihilaton

5. Same ol' same ol'.

Make a selection and explain your choice. Also please provide viable pathways to achieve the goal you selected. Discuss the feasibility of your selection and there needs to be events to happen in order to further or speed of the process.

Your participation greatly appreciated.

There will never be any all encompassing collective "goal" amongst Blacks. Every African human being in the world will never be on the exact same "page."

I do believe we can have "pockets/factions" of solidarity, and I hope that, one day, we can work around and through our differences for the good of our people across the Diaspora.

However, my first choices for any suggested "goals" would be repairing/restoring the Black Family and Black dollars in Black communities.

Here's the best way to answer your question. I look at a picture as a means of not only seeing it but of attempting to understand the mindset of the artist who painted it.

European nation White people are in Africa....why?
India is in Africa....why?
China is now in Africa...why?
American nation white people are in Africa...why?

What land mass is the richest in terms of natural resources?
What land mass is the richest in terms of herbal/medicinal resources?
What land mass is the richest in terms of economic resources?

Now for the killer question of the year. Being that all the above nations of people are in Africa because of what I've listed, where do you think we need to be??....and why should we just sit here and allow others to tap into, extract and then dish out to us what we can do for ourselves and our people here and abroad?

take a look at the Nguzo Saba and the Charter of the Organization of Afro-American Unity, written by El Hajj Malik Shabbazz and edited by Dr John Henrik Clarke, these provide a blueprint of self sufficiency and a return to the African collective ideal

Dr Amos Wilson has already given us the 'blueprint' for our collective emancipation, economically, socially, spritually and financially. His book is one which is 'over looked' imo, and he gives us .. stepping stones on which to build.

These were excellent and are the reason that he was killed. Why do I say killed? I just found it strange that Amos Wilson, Khalid Muhammad, Kwami Ture and another strong brother who I forgot right now died of "brain anurisium". I wonder what it takes to bring that about? His work is a masterpiece and should be required reading for all of our people here and abroad!

SeekingMaat,

Thank you for providing this lecture of Dr. Brother Amos Wilson on the Blueprint of Black Power, very powerful and full of accurate ways to empower ourselves. Wilson places all of us, being the 7th or less generation since Slavery, still enslaved until we find our African consciousness toward deliverance.

Particularly, Wilson is impressive when he tells us that we are not Africans, but are possessed by spirits and demons, a people that has not returned to our roots. He goes on about this possession we are under, sleep walking, etc…so as to say that until we find a remedy, our children and their children will continue the path we are on. No one in their right mind can disagree with Wilson.

While I have you, the newsletter is up, and the T-Shirts are on the way, and we are fast closing in on the homegrown publication in the GroupThink Project-Group, as well as the new FEFF: Family Emergency Financial Fund…Peace In my sister friend.

The remarks I find potent were the questions that wilson posit
towards those of us who feels that slavery was in the past and how it
doesn’t have any effect on us today. The examples he cites ranging from
the language we speak, to the food we eat to the religion/god concept that
we enlarge adhere to and even the values we pursue, speak to the contrary.

Indeed, slavery as many have pointed to in this past was much more that a physical event perpetuated on a group of people. It was the process of stealing our Sie (Dya).

Bro Clyde, glad you enjoyed the presentation, and as Bro Keita mentioned its a book that should be mandotary reading for all Afrikans :)

As for the GTT, I'm still renovating but have become quite masterful with power tools haha :SuN030: and may I humbly suggest a name for the newsletter as DESTEE NATION as I hope we are about the business of Nation building (embracing all the different elements required in a Nation) and the name itself is indicative of PURPOSE!!

SeekingMaat,

The suggestion you have made that Destee.comNews take a lean towards nation building is duly noted, and will be shared with Sister Destee and the GroupThink Project-Group, in our next regulary scheduled meeting, that's a promise. The name, DesteeNation, has a powerful ring tone, in my view.

How do we solidify, as a Family, around Wilson's book, Blue Print?

What steps do you suggest we take on following-up with bro. Keita's idea?

To solidify around any thing would be an achievment! :) but familiarization with the book in question would be start. This is not your average 'book', its more like a volume/tomb 900 odd pages:) and full of strategies that would be helpful in our creating our own dynamics. BTW Bro Meta echoes some of what Dr Wilson says, in that we are the true Creators and we must be about creating our own systems - tis the same message, different language/delivery ;).

Bro Keita's statement that this should be required reading I fully agree with. Maybe one day he might grace us with a book study or something ... cos I know a true study of this book would take well over a year - it covers many many issues.

Better still Bro Clyde why dont you ask him :), you're two fully grown intelligent men and if you asked him, he could tell his own response :qqb015:

Check with amazon.com. That's were I got my copy. They have "the blue print", new and used.

His books, "blue print" included, were published by AWIS:

Afrikan World Infosystems
743 Rogers Ave # 6
Brooklyn, NY 11226-2598
Phone: (718) 462-1830

I just called them to see if they are still active. I got the answering machine. The voice stated that I've reached awis, so apparently the number is current.

I left a message inquiring about the book, asking how folks can aquire it somehow through awis, or if they could point me in the right direction as to how to obtain the book if for some reason they are unable to directly provide the book themselves.

As soon as they return my call and let me know whats up, I will relay the information soon after I get it.

Just got off the phone with sababu n. plata, the editor of "blue print" and close friend of wilson. AWIS is in operation, so if anyone is somehow unable to get book via the internet, it could be obtained directly from plata by calling the above number to make arrangements.
