Sister Goddess Auset ... as you can see, the site is up ... so the fact that Our Beloved Elder is being blocked, sounds like it is a virus or something on his machine, blocking URL's.

Hmmmm ... the first thing that comes to mind, in order to fix this, is some virus protection software, which can scan his system, and prompt him to delete such, if it is found. I think there is even a thread here on the forum, to free ones that can be downloaded. It's good he still has access to the Internet! Good Good Good! Let me go see if i can find that thread now ... yes yes yes! ... i found it ... Brother Radical Faith (we sure do miss him!), posted this some time ago ... Free Virus Protection!! I also called Our Beloved Elder, but didn't receive an answer.

I'll keep trying Sister, but if you talk to him before i do, please share the above with him.

I have downloaded a antivirus program and have done a complete virus scan, so that is not the problem.

Chief Osiris continues to have problems posting on Destee, and it is best that you call him again so that he can share with you the problems he is still expereincing. He performed a virus check and that did not work.

He as we know is able to sign into Black Chat.

When he tries to sign in his user name now is: Lady toc.

Is there any other Destee warriors having problems signing into Destee?

The only other alternative I see is that Chief re-register under a different user name and password, but he does not see why he has to even do that. If he do that and this happens again. UM!

I am out of options.

Sister Goddess Auset ... i've tried to reach Chief Elder a few times, including just now, but he's asleep.

I'm not sure why he's not able to access the site, or that it has him logging in as some other person. That is so weird, but we'll try to get to the bottom of it.

As you can see, i've just created a new forum ... COMMUNITY TECHNICAL SUPPORT ... and have moved all of your threads here (3), and merged them, since they seem to be speaking to the same technical difficulty.

In addition, we have a Brand New Tech Support TEAM in the process of forming, so it may not be me that ultimately fixes this.

I'll keep trying to reach our Beloved Elder ... giving him a call in the morning.

Chief said when is trying to sign into www.destee.com and get to Destee main page, Welcome back Lady Toc is what appears and Destee signing in does not recognize him at all.

Could this be a hacker who is doing this?

Is there anyone else on Destee experiencing this problem or have expereinced this problem.

As we know he is able to sign into black Chat.

Sister Goddess ... i'd suggest that when Chief Elder logs in, and this other Member's name comes up, he should post, so we can see if it posts the message as him, or the other person. I'd just find it interesting to see what happens.

I don't think the site has been hacked.

It seems as though Chief Elder needs to delete his cookies and cache. I've got a feeling this will fix the problem.

Below are instructions on how to do this.

In the menu bar at the top of the browser:

1. Click TOOLS

2. Click INTERNET OPTIONS

A window will pop up ... in the center of it you will see ... TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES

3. CLICK DELETE COOKIES ... (if you've never done this, it may take a moment) ... a small window will appear, click OK

4. Click DELETE FILES ... (if you've never done this, it may take a moment) ... a small window will appear, put a check mark in DELETE ALL OFFLINE CONTENT, then click OK

5. CLOSE THAT WINDOW

6. LOG INTO DESTEE


Instructions For Firefox

Give this a try, and let's see if it fixes the problem he's experiencing.

Sister Goddess ... you can also ask Chief Elder to try this ... it's a little less than the above, just simply logging out of the community completely, then re-logging back in.

I had to help someone with this earlier, and thought of you. It may help and be easier.

1. Click on this link ... http://destee.com/forums/login.php?do=logout

2. A page with the following will appear:

http://destee.com/images/logout.jpg

3. Click on the text ... Click here to log out.

This should log Chief Elder all the way out, allowing him to log back in. Hopefully logging back in, will fix the problem.

I think he's experiencing cookie issues, and this is just another way around it.

The steps in the above post, How To Delete Cache and Cookies (http://destee.com/forums/showpost.php?p=476412&postcount=4), is more thorough than this though.
