9:00 - 9:30: Project #2 (queued) brainstorm...Prison Outreach program (followup on political prisoners identified, volunteers to start both the political prisoners thread and the family thread. Other outreach ideas)

Misc. Key Points (before business)

1. Brothers need to contribute more during the week on the bro. chat project threads.

2. Brothers must be willing to hold each other accountable on follow-through without feeling disrespected or being disrespectful.

3. We need a thread where the brothers can list out their talents, skills and desired skills so that we build off eachothers strengths, abilities and interests.

Project #1 Online Chess

Key points

1. Brothers need to go head and register in the sign-up thread.

2. We will move forward with the first tourney as a simple individual tournament on yahoo BUT...

3. Brother GrandHustle has ALREADY setup a chess engine on his domain BlackChessPlayers.com SO...


4. GrandHustle will start a thread organizing the next phase of project #1 where we host chess matches in a teaching format and/or in a teams format...the goal will be to learn, build and grow...together.

Project #2 Prison Outreach

Key points

1. Reiterated political prisoners focus. Will look to bro. oldsoul to help get us started on this.

2. Reiterated need to reach out to our own families involved in justice system. Brother Alkebulan and Brother Rich will collab to start up a thread pushing forward on this and other prisoner outreach ideas.

Topic: Reaching Out to Young Brothers & Why are we so divided?


Key Points:

Keita, Nibs, and the Da Street So'ja gave some powerful commentaries on what's going on and why and what we need to do about it.

I can't really summarize...you had to be there.

Key messages hit on economics, cultural conditioning, the historical realities of differing philosophies among different groups of black people, and the necessity of US educating our OWN children.

We did spontaneous flow on this week's topic and will pick up the Channeling Anger & Rage topic next week.

Future Projects to get in the queue:

1. Organize relief services for the homeless

2. Plan a session to bring young brothers into chat to get
their perspectives...each one bring one.

3. Come to find out we have several talented developers...one good way to reach young folk is through
gaming....create a black video game where we control the storyboard & images.

What do WE need to do THIS WEEK?

and i had no internet this week until now
so i couldn't respond sooner
