Brothers chat summary 02/06/2007

1) Discussion of Netiquette and framework for chat

A. We will start on time at 8:30 p.m. EST but brothers will hang out, play music, etc, until we start business at 8:45 p.m.

If committed brothers can't make the chat send a PM or thread note.

B. We agreed three brothers must be present in order to handle any brother's chat business or make decisions.

C. We will seek to add structure to our sessions by having a published agenda prior to the chat.

D. We will put out a summary after each session and utilize rotating volunteers to keep notes during each session.


2) Decided on purpose and mission of brothers chat

(the priority of this list is open for discussion)

A. Come together for discussion and networking in a positive environment

B. Impact our communities

C. Create and implement leadership training

3) Decided on an initial "test" project...i.e. show and prove we can get something done

Create an online chess tournament

4) Decided on our second project which will be queued but brainstorming starts now

Create a prison outreach program
