Topic: Sister Praise
Hello there sisters! :wave:

The topic for our next Sister chat will be Sister Praise. :bowdown: That's right, we'll be singing our praises. And why not? We are queens after all, worthy of endless accolades. Please come to chat ready to share what it is that makes you and other Black sisters, special.

Each of us shines in our own way. Do you volunteer at a homeless shelter? Are you the voice of reason within your own sister circle? Do you know a second language, sing, or play an instrument? Are you the mom on the block who children tend to turn to? Do you make a cake that's to die for? :chef: Whatever qualities you possess, let us know. It's time for self affirmation.

Each of us have had other Black sisters who've affected our lives. Let's talk about these sisters who have inspired us. Could be someone we know or have known personally, or someone we've never met. Could be someone famous, but odds are she's someone who the rest of us won't know. Let's hear about these sisters, raise them up! :welldone:

It would be wonderful if we could each have a turn to speak on the mic in praise. If you feel more comfortable just texting, :geek: then that's ok too, as long as you share.

Laced in between our participants' offerings, there will be inspirational music, :dj: poetry, positive quotes, and biographical shorts of Black sisters. I think this will be quite an informative and uplifting Sister Chat. So please, mark your calendars, and make a mental note as well. :hearthis:

Sister Watz ... thank you so much for an especially wonderful and relaxing Sister Chat! You did great Sister! All the Sisters did great! Everyone sharing a little of themselves, so easy, like a weight being lifted ... when we can just laugh and talk and share ... of those things we care about and that have moved us in our lives!

As you recapped Sister Watz ... we learned about Ms. Stanley, and songs our Mothers sang to us, and so many different things!

This was really a pleasure ... looking forward to next week!

I encourage all the Sisters to join in, as there is healing for us, in us!

I certainly share your thoughts Destee, it was great. I enjoyed myself.
So yes watz, you did a :terrific: job last night. We all took part in connecting and bonding.

I so hate I will miss these sister chats. As you all know I am caring for my oldest sister who is gravely ill and does not seem to be getting any better.. However she continues to be an inspiration to me and those around her. I would have love to share in the healing and bonding that I'm sure took place. It is so vitally important that we do that for each other as well as ourselves. Please continue in this positive mindset, and I hope in some small way I'll be able to contribute.

Thank you Destee and queentswana, yes I think we had a wonderful time as well. Sharing, bonding, just experiencing each other as sisters. I could sense the serenity surrounding us. And all in attendance were so supportive of me, and I appreciate that more than you know. I'm looking forward to next week already.

Remby, I feel you already have contributed just from what you shared within this thread. Your sister is a strong woman to have inspired you so, and so are you. Blessings to you and your sister Remby.
