Namaste Brothers!

Great to see this forward progress!

Looking forward to following the threads of the sessions. I'll, unfortunately, not be able to listen in as flash9 (or some combo of flash9/flashchat ) gives even [i]Sister Destee! a rather deep voice! lol i don't know what this is, but it does make it hard to concentrate on what is being said.

Good on ya, Brother $$RICH$$ for staying on top of this!!!

mts1.......no brother we have a room for men to meet in as well the sistas
also have a room , it will not be of any conflict.Oh? Did that get fixed, then? lol

I remember when the Brother/Sister Chat rooms were first set up. One time when I was there, there was a bit of "crossover"; things said in one room were being heard in another. IIRC, the "solution" was to not use the two seperate rooms, but to use one of the rooms and the lobby ... or was that when the crossover happened? Like I said "If I Recall Correctly", but I may very well not have.

Just an amusing remembrance of some of the "growing pains" is all I'm saying.
Peace!

Misson, Objectives, and Goals.

I just wanted to open this discussion. I imagine that this subject will be raised often. So let this thread serve a repository of our ideas and thoughts as toward what we each individually wish to accomplish through our active participation in Brother's Chat here at Destee.com. This thread will serve to set expectations for those not yet involved and also serve as a reminder as for those already participating. -lest we lose our bearings. Although, I believe it is a important question ,"What exactly are we trying to do?" -should not be a recurring agenda item. I believe, it should be understood at the door. So let build on this here. And even though we may not come to a true consensus, we will get an idea as to where we stand, from whence we came, and we're going.

I'll start ...

Retool and Refuel
I seek the three "E"s . Encouragement, Enlightment, Empowerment. I seek refuge and sanctuary. I want to share ideas and strategies. I want to feed off of the wisdom of the others who are seeking what I do. I want to benefit from the diverse talents and resources that are brought to the proverbal table. I want to surround myself with group of men who firmly believe in the notion that we must take responsibility for uplifting ourselves, our families and our communities. I want to know "Sa".

That's what I want out of Brother's Chat.

As a strive to be a better Husband-Father-Son-Brother-Friend (in that order). I want to learn and teach.

And then once I've made a difference in the lives of every Black person I know, then I will expand my circle of influence. It is my firm belief that If every Black man did this.. we can build our Nation through strong families and healthy relationships.

What i want out of brothers chat , wow i'm looking through a large window here

I want black men collectively to join forces of knowledge and use our resources
to uplift ourselves as we feed this to our family / communities bond stronger
relationships so black on black can live a health life as mates , I want to see us
move upward in a direction to complete projects , accept responsibilty for our
action and lead the path for the youth , i want brothers chat to be where we can
identify problems and find a solution through ideas and strategies , be apart of a
group of like minded brothers who seeking a togetherness as we share and know
we can trust thy brother to give the best of his knowledge of advice.

One of my short term goals was to see us bonding and thinking on positive structure
to bring fun activities and be wiser as we teach & learn , to see us as men making
an impact on lives.

THIS PART OF WHAT I WANT FROM BROTHERS CHAT !

My second part i lone for is much deeper and will take some time to reach .

Understanding da core of us as men and our mission collectively and bondfully
overstanding what we need to do as brothers ..............our rebuilding , healing
starts from within outward and i can feel us coming together soon !
