I am curious how any of you get the tangles, or knots, out of your hair say after having a twisted style for a week or so? This is especially if your hair is a bit longer. Is there anything special you might do besides wash, condition, and then applying an oil or other fortifying nutrients before applying the wide-tooth comb?
This is directed to both men and women...who ever may have good tips. Thanks in advance...

I let my hair stay twisted for weeks. when I take it down
I have to use lots of conditioner, olive oil, a widetooth comb,
section my hair and detangle from ends first.

I usually comb out each twist individually as I take it out. This helps toward the overall combing of the entire head. Like Blackeyes stated, it important to "detangle from the ends on up." I also apply the "just for me" detangling hair lotion to each section before I come it. This helps loosen the tangles and moisturize the hair before combing.

That's exactly what I was goin to say, Destee, its like you read my mind.
Yea, sis, I comb my hair all the time in the shower. I've worn twisties in my hair and I untwisted it in the shower by running my fingers through sections, carefully. It's a lot easier when you just put conditioner on it first, and then undo it.
Hope that works out for ya!
