Sister Qatavia ... i've never given myself a perm, but depending on how fast the hair grows, the hair texture (more curly, less curly), etc., new perms are done every 6-12 weeks.

A touch up is really a perm too ... only perming the new growth of your hair ... it's no different than the first perm you received.

Tell me Sister ... after never having a perm, what made you get one?

Thanks destee, well the reason I decided to get a perm is because I wanted my hair to be straight rather than curley, but I promised my self that after this perm I will never perm it again

I recommend just keeping your hair natural as intended,...I always thought girls who wanted perms had some issue's within themselves like low self esteem...but nothing against you sistar...I love my afrikan-ness and loc'ed tress'es Im not european and **** sure aint tryna look like em...Peace
