Some of the key points here are that the downward spiral we are currently witnessing in the world today is due in part to the collapse and ineffectiveness of its behavior shaping institutions of family, education, religion, and government. All of these decaying systems have one thing in common: they are the products of the caucasian's errant notions of what constitutes "civilization" and are not rooted in the Divine Plan.

It should be noted that even though our closest ancestors were torn away from West Afrika, ALL West Afrikan groups (Yoruba, Mende, Akan, etc) migrated across the continent from the Nile Valley and settled into West Afrika at some point in the distant past.

Another cause of the ongoing collapse of civilization is due to the spiritual immaturity of the world's political and economic "leaders", e.g., the president of the US (currently George W Bush), the Prime Minister of the UK (Tony Blair), Paul Wolfowitz of the World Bank, etc. These "leaders" are products of a defective european derived culture which has never had a tradition of true spiritual development/behavior modification of the type that developed in the ancient Black civilizations. In traditional Afrikan societies, no one was allowed to occupy a position of leadership unless they first went through a course of rigorous spiritual training that generally followed the principles laid out in Metu Neter, aka INITIATION, no matter how old they were, or how slick they talked. How many of today's world "leaders" have gone through such training? How many Black "leaders" (e.g., Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, etc) have gone through such training? The answer: zero.


The way back to true civilization then, is a return to the behavior shaping institutions of the ancestors: religion, education, family, and government. Thus, the aim and scope of Metu Neter is to show us what we must do and how to do it in order to find our way back to "the way we were."

This is in line with the sentiment RUNA expresses on page 3 near the conclusion of the preface:
If the religious and philosophical systems of ancient civilizations were so great, why aren't we practicing them?

RUNA presumes we recognize the greatness of the ancient systems but doesn't deal much with why the practice of those ancient systems did not PREVENT the collapse of the black civilizations built upon them, nor our subsequent domination by europeans.

This question is critical to not only the idea of returning to an egyptian system of spiritual cultivation but any ATR.

If this were so, what need is there for returning to the Metu Neter or any other ATR or striving for any collective spiritual ascendancy, since we will be restored to greatness anyway?

If there is a cycle that is predetermined, it matters not what we do; our time will come.

If our current and future actions will in fact impact/determine outcome, wouldn't it be wise for our spiritual sages to identify the failures of our ancient systems and improve upon them rather than reintroduce them verbatim?

Not necessarily irrespective, but all events that take place within a Sphere, lead to the movement of said sphere.

When white people rose to power, it what it irrespective of their behavior? Or rather because of it?

Further, it is not our current behavior as a people that will move us towards the re-establishment, but a shift in phase of it.

That greatness entails spiritual ascendancy. That cannot be subtracted from the equation.

With this system (as with most ATR's) the DIVINE manifests Itself in us, and through us. We are the tools for Its shaping of the events in the world.

Thus, when our return to greatness will be through a meticulous process or returning ourselves to such.

There is no "Spook God" at work here; the sort that will "pay my bills" just because I pray for it to happen.

That's not how cycles work. We are just as responsible for the events that happen to us, as is other aspects that play a part in what happens.

That is the notion behind SEPHIROTH, meaning "sphere of influence". The greater the sphere, the more effect one can create on events that manifest near that sphere.

This has been done, throughout the Ages, from the earliest times, till now. You will find that much of Metu Neter, as practiced in modern-times, is not merely a verbatim reinstatement of its ancient counterpart.

It's not that those civilizations fell despite the practice of those systems of spiritual cultivation, it's that those civilizations fell because of a failure to adhere to those spiritual practices which made them great in the first place.

Elder James' is on the money. Music Producer's explanation is just plain Ludacris. God does not reward or punish. Whatever consequences befall a people come as a direct result of whether or not they adhere to certain divine laws. Disobey those laws and cause an imbalance and Herukhuti, in the process of restoring things to they way they were meant to be, will kick your butt. It's nothing personal really; it's the law, and every person and civilization is subject to it, no matter how goody two shoes they are. This butt kicking is what has been misinterpreted by the sahu religions (Christianity, Islam, & Judaism) as punishment from God.

All civilizations are subject to the law of cycles which have 4 phases: birth, growth, decline, and death. No civilization has ever been exempt from this law, not Kemetic, not other Afrikan civilizations, nor American, which is currently in the stage of decline. The priests of Kemet knew in advance that their civilization was going to fall. They were able to foretell this decline and fall as evidenced by an excerpt from "Ancient Future" by Wayne Chandler which I'll post later on.

The rise or fall of civilizations does not occur irrespective of what people do, but occurs because of what people do--or fail to do. Kemetic civilization will not rise again if we all sit on the couch and do nothing but watch Jerry Springer reruns and booty shaking videos for the next thousand years. It will take study and practice of the ancestral ways in order to bring it back. That's related to another law: cause & effect.

The priests of Kemet knew in advance that their civilization was going to fall. They were able to foretell this decline and fall as evidenced by an excerpt from "Ancient Future" by Wayne Chandler which I'll post later on.

Here's the "prophecy" (for lack of a better word) about the fall of Kemet and the shape of things to come:

Learn to meditate.

The next round of meditation classes starts on election day (Nov 7, '06) from 7-8 pm. If you can't make it to class, start out by practicing proper breathing techniques for about 5 minutes a day (from the lower abdomen--inhale and push the abdomen out, exhale and pull it in. No more chest breathing). This will lay the foundation for later work. You can pick up a meditation CD from the store.

We'll be there for the next 5 saturdays so stop by if and when you can (10:30 am to 12 noon). This is the first bit of advice that I would give. People underestimate the profound effect that merely cultivating one's health can have on one's spiritual development.

Even the Bible speaks about not defiling one's Temple: The place where God dwells.

GEB is the last sphere, and ironically, people treat health as though it's the last thing they should focus on.

However learn the path to spiritual development is a pathological one, where in the initiate learns to start at one point, and move his way back to the point of true realization.

Thus, there is a reason why GEB is the last sphere, and AMEN is the first.

Moving along to "The Hemispheres of the Brain", the salient point is that the brain is divided into two hemispheres-left and right. Among other things, the left hemisphere governs external modes of acquiring knowledge about the world around us and the universe, while the right hemisphere governs internal modes of acquiring knowledge--so called left brain vs. right brained thinking. The left brain processes information in a linear, sequential fashion, e.g., it looks first at A, then B, then C, then D, and so on, and formulates an opinion. The problem with left brain thinking is that it is segregative, and focuses on parts of the whole and external differences between those parts. It is inherently incapable of seeing the relationship between A, B, C, & D to each other and the relationship of each to the whole. An example of left brain ways of acquiring knowledge would be reading books (sequentially putting words together to form sentences, paragraphs, chapters, etc), doing experiments (moving sequentially from hypothesis to testing of hypothesis to drawing conclusions and generating new hypotheses from that), consulting experts, etc, concerning that which one wishes to know. An example of a right brain way of acquiring knowledge would include going into deep meditation, tapping into the highest parts of the spirit where the divine wisdom resides, and intuiting the knowledge from the highest source. This is then assembled into a big picture, a function that the left brain is incapable of. On a more practical level, the right brain processes things not sequentially, but as a unit. In other words, it processes parts A, B, C, & D simultaneously-as in looking at a photograph or a piece of art- and sees the relationship of the parts to each other and to the whole. Men are predominantly left brained, while women are predominantly right brained.

All expressions of a culture depend on which of the two hemisperes of the brain is dominant in the leaders of that particular culture. Afrikan cultures are predominantly right brained, while the culture of the caucasians is predominantly left brained. Thus, white people engage in segregative type thinking, which explains why racism is so entrenched in their culture--they can only perceive external differences between human beings. They also acquire information about the world by external means: reading books, doing experiments, observing by looking outside of themselves and processing their observations in a segregative, linear sequential fashion. Afrikan peoples on the other hand, have cultivated the ability to tap into the divine part of the spirit and intuit knowledge of the universe and the world in which we live. The important point to note about the Afrikans of Kemet (so called ancient Egyptians) is that they were able to arrive at the correct balance of right and left brain thinking. That explains why they were able to get such a huge headstart in developing the hallmarks of a balanced civilization–spirituality, government, social systems that ensured the well being of all, as well as monument building, temple building, art, writing, math, science, astronomy, medicine, law, etc.

You may be so egrossed in something, e.g., reading a novel, or listening to music, that you tune out the outside world. This is yet another example of being in trance. The point is, going into trance is a very common phenomenon which the Kamau (so called ancient Egyptians) systematically used to develop themselves spiritually as well as to fashion their societies.

Meditation is an excellent way. It is the visualization aspect of meditation that activates the right side of the brain. Any other type of creative endeavor will also do, e.g., music and the visual arts.

You’re referring to Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, which is not a traditional Afrikan society. Historically and culturally it’s a product of euroamerican cultural imperialism. Its capital, Monrovia, was named after the white US president James Monroe, so that should tell you something about the extent to which alien cultural concepts dominate the cultural landscape there. The notion of “democracy” and holding elections is a white man’s construct that doesn’t even work well for white people. She has no real power, but then again neither does George W Bush. True power in any so called modern democracy lies in the hands of the rich and the super rich, but again, that’s another discussion altogether. White men are adept at creating the illusion of power sharing with white women, but they give no real power to anybody but other white men whom they expect to succeed them. This so called privilege, opportunity, clout and access is limited to wealthy white women, and even they are for the most part unfulfilled and miserable, still subject to the sexism and paternalism of their rich white husbands and fathers. The fact that in the 21st century Nancy Pelosi is poised to become the first female speaker of the US House of Representatives in nearly 250 years of this country’s existence speaks volumes about the reality of the powerlessness of white women in what is supposed to be the world’s greatest democracy.

Don’t believe the hype: It’s the former. Today, in 2006, white men still crap all over white women; they just do a good job of hiding it from us. I've personally seen enough of that poor treatment over the past 30+ years.

If I may offer a suggestion. You can set up a trance state before going to sleep in during your set up stage, visualize any Ancestor in particular or concentrate on the desire to contact the Ancestors in general. Meditate on this for a few minutes and then proceed to sleep. Even if it doesn't happen right away, your contact with the Ancestors will be established and dreams will occur which will allow direct communication. Also, it helps to burn incense such as frankincense and myrrh, sage, cedar, etc.

This is most correct. The Ancestors are in constant contact. Many times we are just unaware of this contact because we are not "Open" to recieve their Spiritual Communion with Us.

Basically, learn to meditate. Breathing is fundamental (breathe from the lower abdomen-when you inhale it goes out, when you exhale you pull it in). Chanting as described in vol 1 is the other thing. The breathing is coordinated with the mantras. I notice in another thread you mentioned that you're in Chi town (I sometimes shop at the Staples and Jewel Foods down the street from Mosque Maryam). Check out our classes--they're free. Stop on by and holla at a brotha.

That falls under the area of advanced practice and is something I'm trying to learn more about myself. It's not something I would try on my own or advise others on at this point in time. This is an area where one should tread lightly with an experienced priesthood member.

First of all what is the address brother for i am off on 79th and ridgeland. second are you familar with the use of gohunzins or shrines set up as a use for focus during mediatation. I am currently in the process of setting my center up now. Second is there any one familar with the term "dyslexia" which means to refuse to go against the laws of the neteru or nature. Notice how all other cultures whom have refused to adopt to the western way of thinking start building from right to left. This is the natural order of things a calcualtor builds from right to left. Some of our brains are heavily indoctrinated with the dna of our past existences and thus will not allow us to convert this became know as dyslexia. We have allways thought of how things interelate thus we call each other brother and sister without formal announcement and so on. The left side of the brain focused on differences which is why most western ways of thinking must seperate everything into races classes etc. No man can tell u about the creator, they can only give thier interpretation there of this is why meditation and self intropection is so important for in our dna is a wealth of knowledge and truth through each manifestation whether in the diffinite or indiffinite states of existence. once we are shape and fashion into a physcial being we become definite and thus unable to experience anything in the higher realms. Sahu man does not equate to an inferior man it just equates to a certain level of understanding at that time of the individuals understanding. Right now certain individuals believe that we are on a progressive track in regard to civilazation as evidenced by living in homes with heat ect progressive medicine and such. These individual do not understand that intelligence is relative and we are diffinitely not more intelligent then our ancestors our currently level of civilization is decompensating because school is now being taught by the students(western soceity) regarding all matters of life. While the professurs whom donot utilize fear and programming(us and our ancestors) are sitting in the class rooms and watching trying to argue the facts against a lie when we understand that the individuals watching cannot tell the difference unless they choose to look into the matter themselves. All one must look at is the caucassians reality of the end. mad max and the terror dome etc. nuclear war etc. They are the locust of the earth. We are all parasties living on the crust of it. When a parastie takes more from u to survive than it naturally needs to survive u become sick and maybe die.
