The idea of a rapture of the Church is a wholly Pauline doctrine. While Jesus and the writer of Revelation speak of people being taken, the passage in Revelation leaves some doubt as to whether it will be the righteous or the wicked who will be taken.
Paul is the only biblical writer who says anything about Christians flying in the air but his doctrine is contradicted by other scriptures. He says in 1 Corinthians 15:51 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but w. This is in direct conflict with what he said in Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,.
No appea to the context can resolve this conflict.

Rapture is no where in the Bible. It's a wifes tale. Did you know that only non-Christian airlines pilots used to work for the airlines. That was for in case the The Rapture came, there would be someone available to land the plane and give the unsaved a chance to confess Jesus as Savior.

Bizaar!
Then why do christians drive cars. Don't they realize their cars could spin out of control and kill people? Why become a surgeon when you might leave someone with their brain exposed? Why become a baseball player when you could disappear just as the ball comes toward your mit and hit somebody on the temple and kill them? And think about it, why don't christians protest against the space program? Jesus saaid he would return to the Earth, so suppose he comes to the Earth and you're on the moon?

Well, Christians did protest very quietly that we should leave outer space alone. But also just as quietly they realized that in order for the moon to turn red people must be living there?

Yeah baby, rocks don't bleed.
Isn't it funny how people do all this killing and genocide and then say see God is fulfilling his word. A few months ago mly stepfather was listening to a christian commentator on the radio. The man was saying that the establishment of the Israeli state in 1948 was the fulfillment of a prophecy in the old testament that says Israel will be established in one day. The man was pointing out that never has a nation beenn established in one day as Israel was in 1948. It sounded really impressive, what he said. Untill I remember what he did not say--the way the so-called Jews in Europe just went over there and started killing people as soon as the U.N. said they could have a state. Then while they were still knee deep in warm Palestinian (Canaanite) blood Amerikkka jumped up and said see God fulfilled the prophecy.
It's easy to be impressed by what they say if you don't have the knowledge to know what they don't say because that's where the truth is

"For the Lord (Jesus) himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
1 Thessalonians 4:15-16
Paul in this prophesy was in effect telling his followers that Jesus would be descending from heaven any second now. Paul and his followers would then be taken up into the air and meet Jesus in the clouds. He was telling them that this shall happen while they are still alive and breathing. Did this come to pass? No! It was a false prophesy. Two thousand years have passed since and not only has he and those he was speaking to turned to dust, but countless generations of their followers too have passed away and we still await his prophesy to come true.
Bless you all

Always good to hear from you High Priest.
The purpose of this prophecy is to anesthetize us so we will be uneffedcctive in this world. After all, if this world is not our home and we are just sojourners passing through then why should we concern ourselves about having our land stolen and our culture destroyed or our people killed, raped, enslaved, brutalized? It will all be better over yonder in the sweet by and by. So ignore the man behind the curtain and just feed the hungry refugees and spread the tranquilizers so everyone can get some.
