View Full Version : Black People : Time to Grow Up - Momma's Boy & Daddy's Lil'l Girl
TreasureEyes 08-08-2006, 06:20 PM I'm just gonna throw this out here .... today there's still a large number of grown-ups (claiming to be Adults) acting childish and unmature. So "when is an adult a real adult?" i.e., when does the woman stop being the spoiled brat and when does the man stop hanging onto Momma's skirt/Momma's boy? ...
$$RICH$$ 08-08-2006, 08:58 PM Interesting !......looking forward to see what's added here

Very true!
Slowly 09-27-2006, 11:40 AM I thought I was the luckiest guy in the world when my wife gave me two sons. I was still able to buy me, I mean them race tracks and remote control cars. We played like we were all 8 year olds until girls got into their picture. I payed my bills, kept up the house and cars, and worked everyday, and kept my honey smiling. I was the biggest kid on the block. And still am.

Are you saying, basically, there is nothing wrong with embracing our inner child while demonstrating responsible actions for our lives and life decisions?

When they realize its not all about them. It's about excepting responsibility for their life decisions and acting upon them in a fruitful, positive, way.

TreasureEyes 10-13-2006, 12:56 PM well, actually there's nothing wrong with grown folks having a little playtime ... but, there are still some grown folks acting like children still clinging to Mommy and Daddy never growing up to be the responsbile adults .. come on, I know most of us know at least one person over 35 still living home with their parents or still acting like children ...

Yeah, I know a few people who's still living home with the parents, and I know some who still have the mentality of a child. But I thought you just wanted to know "when is an adult a real adult?" :luvv:

No, not always Treasure. Some parents are sick and need the attention of their children. Sometimes it's the other way around.
TreasureEyes 10-24-2006, 04:48 PM Ok .. that's different if their is sickly and they need to be at home - I can understand that. But, if they are still just living at home when they can get their own ... like I said .. that's crazy !
