How many people here feel isolated because of thier non-belief in Wstern governement and political structures. I've been thinking about this one for a while now. I've been trying to think of ways we can support each other in the real world as well as online. I'm comvinced that as long as we physically live in our non-knowledge of ourselves, we can only go so far. We should meet in the real world - create local chapters. I'm in NY right now, but moving to Montreal. And I have some very specific learning goals once I settle down. It would be so good to have a support network for our extra-curricular African studies. I'm thinking book club, debate team, African history 101.
What do you think?

Well I'm in New York until the end of June. My specific goals are:
- African Historical Outline
- Tracking down your Ancestors; Methods and Sources
Who else is in New York, and what do you want to talk about?

The Ausar Auset Society looks like something I want to check out. Do you have a web site or phone number? I couldn't find any contact details on the web.

Actually I'm a guy ( that's funny ;-) But hey, I'll take a look at public places that would be appropriate for a meeting. And we can come together and share knowledge and support each other. Any ideas on places?
