spicybrown 05-05-2006, 03:28 PM What's the deal? Why are posts being removed? Even the ones that aren't disrespectful. I recently posted a comment in the "Black Women Under Attack" thread, although it was my thoughts, (and not copied and pasted), it offered some thorough information. Is this a way to stir up mess. An 11 page thread, and someone comes in with an explanation unlike none before, suddenly it's deleted, This is not fair. I see how sisters are under attack. I feel the post was removed just to keep a heated debate going. I wouldn't be surprised if it is reposted as I type this just to discredit my complaint. Yes I understand the truth DOES in fact hurt some, but it hurts even more when a persons thoughts are expressed to only have them removed from public view, which in no way were they disrespectful. I know I may bump heads with some here, but why must it resort to this. Now if it was reported as a bad post, I understand. Other than that, there must be some serious 'hatin on a Sisters logic'.......goin down.:nightowl:

Sister SpicyBrown ... i'm disappointed to see that you'd automatically think the worst.
I don't know what happened to your post. I didn't delete it. We don't randomly delete posts, because we disagree with them. If that were the case Sister, it would be a WHOLE BUNCHA utha folks stuff deleted from here, long before i ever considered one word that you've shared! You stop thinking like that.
Maybe a Moderator did it by accident. The software has been doing a lot of double-posting lately, keeping us on our toes, deleting that stuff. Greater errors have been made.
If a Moderator deleted SpicyBrown's post ... will you tell us why please ... (and/or check to see if you mighta dun it by mistake).
Please keep in mind, this technology depends on every other part, and if something gets dropped along the way ... well ... that happens. We are known for a lot of things, but deleting posts isn't really one of them.
I'll look too Sister ... see what i see.
Sister Spicy ... the title says SOME ... you're missing more of your posts?

Sister, It's not that serious to have the post pasted again. I have noticed there are some folks here who are on certain peoples 'Black lists'. Myself, and others may strike the nerve of others, behind our "alternative" choice in mates, (I can't be mad at them) which would lead me to believe it was done on purpose......most likely by a male who didn't agree with my reasoning.
No, no other posts are missing, but in the past I was attacked for having a "light-skinned-non/black" spouse. After replying to something relative to that, an insult was made where the whole thread was removed. Now, I'm not the one to dwell on petty issues, so I'll forget about this one:happens:

we generally prefer to nag you to death.
are you sure the posts were deleted?
maybe it has something to do with the way you come out of the thread after you post.
if you hit the return button it will by pass your post.

spicybrown 05-05-2006, 04:07 PM OK, please delete this thread, we see it's been hi-jacked by Destee.com's finest........lol
Destee 05-05-2006, 04:21 PM Sister Spicy ... i don't know what you're talking about ... but i'll try to cipher it.
Sister, It's not that serious to have the post pasted again.
Sister ... if it's serious enough for you to post a thread about it, accusing us of some under-handed dealings, it's serious enough to at least try and figure out what happened. I can assure you though, there will be no "pasting" of anything. If it can be recovered it will, if it can't, it won't.
I have noticed there are some folks here who are on certain peoples 'Black lists. Myself, and others may strike the nerve of others, behind our "alternative" choice in mates, (I can't be mad at them) which would lead me to believe it was done on purpose......most likely by a male who didn't agree with my reasoning.
Sister Spicy ... this is so ridiculous. While every Moderator (myself included) may like and not like whom we please, those people are not targeted for any kind of official mistreatment. There are times when i wanna target them, and i don't. I can, and i won't. I'm offended you'd say that. How long have you held these thoughts? Who have we mistreated because we did not like them? If anything, we challenge ourselves to PUT UP WITH a whole bunch of raggedy-ness, in an effort to insure that we are being fair and reasonable ... going above and beyond ... especially to those we may not personally like or agree with. Some are still here for this reason, and this one alone.
Just because a Moderator disagrees with you, doesn't mean anything more than that. It doesn't mean you're on some list. As a matter of fact, the only people that are on a list, are those that break our rules. You have never broke a rule Sister, and therefore, you are not on a list. Again, how long have you felt this way?
To say such a thing about this Moderating TEAM, you say that about me.
You think i'd allow anyone to mistreat you?
Shoot, for that matter, the Moderators won't even let me mistreat anyone!
No, no other posts are missing,
Then Sister, why did you say SOME ?
but in the past I was attacked for having a "light-skinned-non/black" spouse. After replying to something relative to that, an insult was made where the whole thread was removed.
Did something happen in another thread, and you want to present a complaint about it now? You are more than welcome to do that. Give us a link to the violation, where a Moderator didn't deal with you fairly, broke a rule, insulted you, etc. Please let us see it.
The thread was removed? What was the title of it? What was it about? How long ago was this?
Now, I'm not the one to dwell on petty issues, so I'll forget about this one:happens:
Sister ... c'mon ... you have hurled some accusations at the Moderating TEAM, in front of God and erry bodee ... and now you wanna just forget it? How is that right or fair? Why mention it, if you didn't want to get to the bottom of it?

Not that I have an imaginary bulls-eye on my forehead, but when certain topics spin out of control(out of certain folks' control), you can read into their vibe of their disdain of your commentry. There are times when i wanna target them, and i don't. I can, and i won't. I'm offended you'd say thatI didn't consider you a moderator, my apologies.. How long have you held these thoughts?I don't hold grudges, but when the disrespect is shown repeatedly, and snide remarks are made, how can I ignore it? Who have we mistreated because we did not like them? If anything, we challenge ourselves to PUT UP WITH a whole bunch of raggedy-ness, [COLOR="Blue"]lol@raggedy-ness!in an effort to insure that we are being fair and reasonable ... going above and beyond ... especially to those we may not personally like or agree with. To say such a thing about this Moderating TEAM, you say that about me.Again, I never considered you a moderator. It is not you who gets into heated emotional biased battles where it would push you to disagree with a poster to the point of deleting posts. Again, if this was a mistake on my end, my bad.
You think i'd allow anyone to mistreat you?NO.
Shoot, for that matter, the Moderators won't even let me mistreat anyone!
Then Sister, why did you say SOME ?Meaning those posts which aren't agreeable.
Did something happen in another thread, and you want to present a complaint about it now? The most explosive one has been deleted. No biggie. You are more than welcome to do that. Give us a link to the violation, where a Moderator didn't deal with you fairly, broke a rule, insulted you, etc. Please let us see it.
The thread was removed? No a post... What was the title of it? What was it about? How long ago was this?In the Black women attacked thread......Like you or James said, perhaps I pressed return or something and it got deleted that way or didn't submit all the way. If that was a mistake on my end.......My bad, I apologize.

NNQueen 05-05-2006, 06:30 PM For the record, I didn't delete any member's posts. If I have an issue with something someone has posted, I address it in the thread. I'm not spineless nor do I abuse my ability to delete a post or a thread. Deleting someone's post without them having the benefit of knowing about it beforehand is disrespectful which is a violation of the rules here.
Sister Spicey, in the future, at least give us the opportunity to respond to your question(s) before assuming to know what happened or could have happened.
Thanks,
Queenie :spinstar:
