To my knowledge, 'caucasian' means white. Whites have been known to lump mixed and nonwhite individuals in that category if it was to manipulate and maneuver the political environment in their favor.

True indeed.

Even further, it refers specifically to their origins, as having come from the Caucus Mountains.

I think it's ironic to say the least, that the etymological origin of this term defines who they are as people.

"Caucas" is often defined as "hidden" or "cast away". It has also come to me "dead", as in carcass.

"Asian or Asia" is word that means "Body or mass".

Caucas + Asian = "Dead Body"?

Hmmmm.......

Caucasian doesn't necessarily mean white. White is white, so it isn't fair to call a dark Mediterranean such as a Sicilian white, although they were white before the Moorish invasion in that area. :)

Look up Caucasian in Wiktionary, the free dictionaryCaucasian was originally a geographical term, meaning relative or pertaining to the Caucasus region (Caucasia) of central Eurasia. It has in time acquired other specific meanings:

In common usage and political contexts, it usually refers to the so-called Caucasian race; which, in North America, Australia, and New Zealand is often equated with the "whites" racial/ethnic group.
In those countries, too, in forensic anthropology, police reports, census forms, and similar contexts, Caucasian usually means a specific combination of external physical attributes, especially light skin.
In physical anthropology, it may mean the Caucasoid physical type, characterized by a specific set of skeletal features.
In linguistics, it may refer to any of the languages of the Caucasus.
In alcoholic beverages, it is a nickname for a White Russian, a mixed drink of vodka, kahlúa, and cream.

Egypt
The early Egyptians were a Caucasian people, and they were the first conveyors of the arts of civilization to the Negroes of Africa. A survey of Egyptian civilization will show that the period of greatness was in the earlier centuries, and after a prolonged period of decline, this ancient civilization was not overthrown; it decayed.

The term Caucasian race is used almost exclusively in North America to refer to people whose ancestry can be traced back to Europe, North Africa, West Asia, South Asia and parts of Central Asia. It was once considered a useful taxonomical categorization of human racial groups based on a presumed common geographic and/or linguistic origin.

In the United States, it is currently used primarily as a distinction loosely based on skin color alone for a group commonly refered to as Whites, as defined by the American government and census bureau. In the British Isles, "Caucasian" follows the North American definition, but in continental Europe, "Caucasian" currently refers exclusively to people who are from the Caucasus. However, it is becoming increasingly politically incorrect in Britain to catagorise people as Caucasian because of the vagueness of its definition. 'White-European' is prefered for categorising white people as it is more specific.

The term itself derives from measurements in craniology from the 19th century, and its name stems from the region of the Caucasus mountains, itself imagined to be the location from which Noah's son Japheth, traditional Biblical ancestor of the Europeans, established his tribe prior to its supposed migration into Europe.

Caucasoid is a term used in physical anthropology to refer to people falling within a certain range of anthropometric measurements.

In New Zealand the term Caucasian is used most frequently in police offender descriptions. Pākehā, European New Zealander, or simply New Zealander (although in theory this should include all New Zealanders) is more common in general language.

The sad part about this exerpt, is that my firewall filter here at work, would not let me click on this link.

This is the reason why:

"The Websense category "Racism and Hate" is filtered."

This alone sufficiently answers my question about this.

PEACE
