View Full Version : Front Porch : Are You Still Having Trouble Accessing The Site?

For several weeks we've had what appeared to be DNS issues. Members have not been able to access the site, and i've tried a number of things to resolve it. I'm not sure if anything i've done has helped (as i've not personally lost access to the site), but it does appear that our traffic / activity is picking back up. In addition, several Members who had been having trouble, can now get here.
There is evidence that the problem has been resolved, but i'll need your help to be sure.
Please let me know what your current experience is, as of today.

sonnee01 03-01-2006, 03:40 PM Hey Destee... whenever I tried to access the site, I would get "Page Could Not Be Displayed" However, when I typed in the IP address I was able to view the front page, but could not view any threads.

Sister Sonnee ... what about now ?? ... you should be able to just get in normally ... www.destee.com
You should no longer have to use the ip address and such.

It seems to be corrected now. But for the last week and a half...maybe two, I would get in sometimes, but usually I would get this error.

when i enter the address in the bar.. it goes to a search instead.. and the error at the top says page not found. then i hit the address in the list of the results from the search, and it still says page cannot be displayed. I hit refresh bout 6 times.. and there it is. I havent had many problems with aol's server untill .. get this.. hah.. everyone elses was fixed.. but firefox n inet.expl.. gives me the same thing sumtimes still.

Sister PoeticManifesta ... have you cleared your browser's cache and deleted cookies lately?
Give this a try and see if it changes anything for you.

Everytime I go to log on, my niece had
the puter locked down. :kickball: As for today though,

robboy2003 11-26-2006, 10:43 AM I was just able to get on the site,after not being able to. I thought i was really a doofus. "smile" I already am in love with the place now!
Slowly 11-26-2006, 07:03 PM a while ago I had trouble with the Comcast DNS servers. Now I'm having trouble with the Qwest DNS servers.
