I was frightened by the realness that was depicted in each paragraph. It seems as though truthfully, I can witness my own wounded sanity through this slain rationale ...

There's a distinct calamity that kisses the thoughts that you convey here in this short story... and it stands out -- shouting from underneath the sea of flames -- reeking of "fire & brimstone".
