1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 pt. sour cream

TOPPING AND LAYER:

6 tbsp. butter
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening, sugar, vanilla. Add eggs, beating well. Sift flour, baking powder and soda together. Add creamed mixture alternating with sour cream, blending. Spread 1/2 mixed batter in greased 9x13 pan.
Cream butter, brown sugar and cinnamon together. Add nuts. Dot this on top of the 1/2 batter. Now put rest of batter in pan. Dot remaining topping. 350 degrees 20 minutes or until done.
