In The End

We too often differ our dreams
Because we are not allowed to participate
We are creators, inventors, artists and writers
But we are denied the opportunity to share, all because of hate

We do not want to beg, borrow or steal
When we ourselves have the power to heal
We need to unite, strategize and organize
To strengthen ourselves and improve our own lives

What Happens to a Dream Deferred? Ask our brother some years ago?
When our talents our dreams and our creativity are denied the right plateau
We redirect our energies, grow discouraged and internalize our ability
We become victims of violence because of neglect and lose ourselves in misery
