I came across a black author for children's books. I'm going to post her link once she updates her site, but it's books teaching black children about our kings, queens, the meaning of Afraka (how it was spelled before "Africa)

She breaks up Af(flesh) Ka(soul) Ra (sun) Meaning flesh and soul of the hidden sun.

I love the two books I saw of hers, because she has poems of kings and kings and mentions who they were, what they did and thows in titles like "Bling Bling" as in the true bling blingers.

She tells us/the children, not to view ourselves as slaves, but as people who were "enslaved".

She mentions how it took 36,000 vogages to get us here and how meany people were killed and how 10 million survived. In her eyes we were 10 million strong and as decendants we are New Beings - Nubians, surviors and the "flesh and soul of the hidden sun."

She has question and answer pages, crossword puzzles etc., Her books are beautiful and deep enough for children to understand.

Basically, she talks about our history with slavery, kings and queens in Africa, the pyramides etc., and implements that with today and a new mindset.

I can't take credit for any of that, that was Ms. Evelyn's words, I just shared the information, but I'm glad you value it. I spoke with Ms. Evelyn today. She said her website should be updated hopefully by the 14th of this month. She said they have gotten so busy. My friend who has 2 of the books for her kids said they spoke of Ms. Evelyn on the Tom Polk show.

In what you pointed out in your post on her saying of Afraka, iit reminded me of hearing before that we were called "Children of the Sun" or that we were borne in the sun cycle? I had heard that part, but not in the sense that she broke it down.

She also really drums it home on the importance of words and the power they have and what we call ourselves. And also as "flesh and soul of the hidden sun" she states we MUST CREATE

But, I'll let you know when her site is ready. Instead of having 2 Nubian slatelets she now has 12. I'm thirsty to drink from that fountain of knowledge!

Hello Ra-anAfrican, I think it is definately time we ascend into the heavens of our higher consciousness and move away from the lower conscious thinking of AmerikKKa in order to move forward.

They tried to beat our brains in and replace our mindset with theirs, but as flesh and soul of the hidden sun RA we always rise. Time for an eclipse of their moon which is only reflected light, with our sun.

i hadn't intended for this to have any "religious" overtones at all. it was, and is, purely Spiritual. and yes, one can have Spirituality very very well without "religion". sometimes it appears that the reverse is a requirement.

i've pretty much come to the conclusion that i am going to toss out everything that i have ever learned and heard through the given "his-stories". too many questions; too many opportunities for someone to have "changed" some bit of it to suit someone else's agenda.
right now!, i feel that it is time for Afraka to pull itself together and develop some NOW-story. "ancient wisdoms" are all well and good; but those folks were living their NOW-stories. future historians are gonna look at us and go "they weren't living; they were looking for living in the past?" ancient wisdoms were all well and good and there is undeniably something of use there. but we need to use OUR "NOW-cient wisdom" to create OUR NOW-story.

All religions stem from the original spiritual foundation in Afraka. There is truth hidden everywhere. I was trying to pull it out of biblical terms and show how the use of their words were twisted from the original truth. Sometimes u have to delve into religion to bring out more understanding. But this is your thread and I don't want to divert from what you are saying or trying to get across, so I'll leave that one alone

I don't believe in the Immaculate Conception, Holy Trinity, the Jesus of the New Testament, and many other things in the bible. I'm not religious, but thank you anyways. Reuniting the Africans, huh? If we ***-u-me the way in which you have done, then we must understand that whether we are the are the majority of the world population or minority, we'll never get anywhere if we are not on the same page.

I look at unity as a closed fist and the lack thereof as an open hand. No matter how big that open hand is, it will never inflict the same amount of damage the closed fist will. Whether we are 34 million or 3.4 million. Don't call the man down the street your brother because you see your reflection when you look in his face, a man can only be so Narcissistic. We black people must not claim all, but those willing to embrace us, among us.

Brotherhood is spiritual, not physical. I'm not going to forsake my one good brother for the prospect of 9 others.
