View Full Version : Critique : SAME OLD HYPE Keita Kenyatta 08-29-2005, 10:43 AM copyright2005 Wisdom7 08-29-2005, 11:41 AM Hard for me to combine "prophet" and this poem. No solutions just judgement, then telling everyblack person f/u cuz they don't want to hear the condescending remarks or hear what they already hear and see from the white man and media Honestly, stating the problems was one thing But the way it ended was so negative Didn't like it, you were right it is the same old hype The only prophet I would follow is one who led by example $$RICH$$ 08-29-2005, 02:17 PM deep , real the concept was on point well said, i too agree the end slap me in the face only thing i'll change is the last line to a different look to make da point to da people because you kill the meaning of this poem with that. nice write over all brutha Keita Kenyatta 08-29-2005, 02:42 PM I'm just a poet, nobody would guess it, but even in poems people try to suppress it... Saying not to write whats never been concealed, saying don't express just what I really feel... Life is both positive, and then it's negative, like my expressions that some people call adjectives. So don't try to box me in cause I choose to reveal, some negativity we all know is real. Somebody once said on the by and by, before you see the splinter take the beam from ya eye, and remember I'm a poet with the freedom of speech, and in the language of our people Malcolm said I should teach. So be careful what ya say, before ya go astray, and I hope you have yourself a truely wonderful day. $$RICH$$ 08-29-2005, 02:57 PM very well said and done and hit to the point ...i love that rip. |
