Wrap my soul in your warmth

Because it’s cold in “MY GHETTO”

Enlighten your mind

Because you don’t know about “MY GHETTO”

Let me fill your dreams

With nightmares about “MY GHETTO”

Guns scream bullets in “MY GHETTO”

Death is on the corners of “MY GHETTO”

Hate is living in “MY GHETTO”

Greed is destroying “MY GHETTO”

All young males see green in “MY GHETTO”

Need green in “MY GHETTO”

Bleed for green in “MY GHETTO”

Lost souls in “MY GHETTO”

Hearts moan in “MY GHETTO”

Love is tossing in “MY GHETTO”

Respect is lost in “MY GHETTO”

Hope is constantly hiding in “MY GHETTO’

The young die too soon in “MY GHETTO”

Why are you worried about the children overseas?

When the screams and the cries in the darkness

Are coming from “MY GHETTO” streets

“MY GHETTO” the one that’s an hour away

“MY GHETTO” on the news each and everyday

“MY GHETTO” the place where it rains blood instead of water

“MY GHETTO” where the sweetest things can taste sour

“MY GHETTO” the one you claim to feel pain for but **** the grounds we walk on

“MY GHETTO” where we need more jobs instead of welfare checks

“MY GHETTO” the modern day plantation without the rednecks

“MY GHETTO” where we sell they crack, instead of picking they’re cotton

“MY GHETTO” where we get beat by today’s masters with police brutality

“MY GHETTO” not knowing we hanging ourselves with weed, those are the kkk’s modern day trees.

“MY GHETTO” where we see the need for GOD to speed

“MY GHETTO” where we found out we got the knowledge to succeed

“MY GHETTO” where we are to proud to crawl on our knees

“MY GHETTO” where separation is a sin, desperation is a word never again

“MY GHETTO” where we lead the navigation to the NEW REVOLUTION

“MY GHETTO THE UPCOMING NATION”

great poem...at first all i got was despair from this poem...but as it evolved i say rays of light at the end of the tunnel...you speak the truth about the ghetto...a bitter sweet existance to say the least...mostly bitter though...i see from the copywrite that this is an old piece...i challenge you to drop a new piece fresh for critique...super scribe dy

one love
