What is STAAR?
There was once a unified Nation in Afraka (Africa) called Smai Tawi. Ancient Smai Tawi encompassed to the north, TaMeri/Khamit (Kemet, KM-T, Egypt), and Ta-Seti/Khenset, Kush (Nubia, Sudan/Ethiopia) to the South. The inhabitants of Smai Tawi claimed even older origins in Ta-Neter (the Great Lakes Region of Central Equatorial Afraka and Pu Amit/Punt (Somalia) to the South-East of the mother continent.
Smai Tawians worshipped NTR-aa, (the oneness of Divinity), and celebrated veneration of the NTR-U (the Allness, principles and attributes of NTR-aa), as well as the Blessed Ancestors.
Smai Tawians lived a lifestyle in Harmony with the Divinely Ordained Natural Cosmic Order called MAAT. MAAT is imaged as a feminine aspect of NTR-aa (Divine) representing truth, righteousness, balance and reciprocity, sobriety and propriety. Her symbols are the scales and feather of truth, against which the heart (conscience) is weighed daily. Consequently, Smai Tawians evolved a code of ethical conduct known as the 42 Oracular Principles of MAAT (modernly termed the 42 Negative Confessions). These principles were utilized by all: rulers, priests and priestesses and lay persons alike. All this considered, Smai Tawi was and is today (to coin a Nubi-phonic term) a NTR-aa centered Maaticracy, focused on Divinity, in harmony with the natural order and governed by initiated rulers.
The Denizens of Smai Tawi saw themselves as immersed, surrounded, embraced, saturated and nurtured in and by Ntr-aa (Divinity) at all times. Ntr-aa was/is to them a mother/father of all creation to whom connectedness was/is assured, affirmed, attested to and confirmed by every breath. All nature (Ntr-u) was/is the language and expressions of Divine. Every act—plowing, eating, bathing, etc. were done in mindfulness of and thankfulness to NTR-aa—the Divine. Spirituality in Smai Tawi is inclusive—honoring its feminine components and Divine Principles (NTR-U) side by side with the masculine. It offers the choice of acceptance and demands no coercive or forceful “submission” to male-driven, divisive, foreign dogma.
Smai Tawi Ankh Ascension Renaissance (STAAR) is a non profit organization, whose members, as in Smai Tawi of ancient times, practice living a lifestyle based upon the principles of Maat. We continue the traditions of our fore bearers through a Spiritual, Cultural and Educational structure that boasts millions of years of existence in various forms. We greet each other by saying Hetep-u (much peace) upon arrival and Shem em Hetep (go in peace) upon departure. Smai Tawi women and men dress modestly, which often distinguishes the initiate from the non-initiate. Our accessories such as the Ankh, Scarab, eyes of Heru, etc, crafted in silver, gold, precious and semi-precious stones, are neither jewelry nor ostentatious adornment. They are SA-emblems and meditations of our linkage to Ancestral, Spiritual high-kulture. Initiates are charged with the maintenance of their Body-Temples in a Divine, holistic manner and their dwelling temples should be reflective of a MAATIAN lifestyle.
STAAR has emerged in modern times through the guidance of Baaba Heru Ankh Ra Semahj Se Ptah. He and his wife Queen Afua Mut NbtHt are the Presiding Elders of STAAR. Baaba Heru is the Sen Ur Ser Chaas Abut Tepi (Elder Brother Grand Master Chief Priest) of the re-founded Shrine of Ptah. The Shrine of Ptah is the oldest Nubi-Kush-Khamitik Shrine in the Americas, livicated (dedicated) to the prosurrection (resurrection) of Smai Tawi (unity consciousness). This effort is pure, unsynchronized, and mixed with no other system but itself. The HAP-I (Nile) River Region—all of it—is our main Earth hub. All other systems are but streams and tributaries of this main primordial source.
