View Full Version : Black Entertainment : Overrated Movies
oceolo 07-19-2005, 07:24 AM There are a lot of movies that get way too much praise . Here are some I think are overrated
1) Wizard of Oz -This movie was probably different than a lot of movies from its time interms of color ,special effects and concept ,but this movie doesnt hold up well over time. The Wiz is a much more enjoyable version of this story.
2) The Godfather I&II-I'm not saying these arent great movies but after 30 years people still mistakenly consider these two films the standard by which all other crime drama films are measured. These 2 movies have surpassed by movies like Scarface and Goodfellas
3)Will Smith - Just about anything he is in is awful. All he does is scream and yell and act goofy ,well I guess I would too if I could get paid 20 million for doing it LOL

I know. You'll see white folks and black folks sleeping on the sidewalk with sleeping bags and sack lunches. Just to get tickets and just to be first to trample some poor little kid for the best seat.

Deepvoice 07-28-2005, 08:19 PM Godfather 1 and 2 were classic in my opinion, one of the few movies that came out in the 70s that I like, and anything Pam Grier. She was sexy in her young days.

she looked more like a slave getting fu""ked w/ no freedom. I hated to see miss berry in that role. Or many of her white mans ho movies.

Yeah she threw me on that one! But I guess since she is mixed they thought it was ok, hell no it aint!
And lately that's all she's been with is white men in her movies.
They do wesly snipes the same way but his wife is asian anyway so go figure!:bye:

the 2005 Amityville,and new version Texas Chainsaw both sucked
I liked the Godfather but Once Upon a Time in America is the real gangster flick....cold blooded......
Oh....The Exorcism of Emily Rose.....completely overrated man I could name a bunch more......just dont 'have the time....

The Wizard Of Oz was not in color, it was black and white. Ted Turner colorized it! I'm showing my age, huh?:)
