1. On a calculator, key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code)
2. Multiply by 80
3. Add 1
4. Multiply by 250
5. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again
7. Subtract 250
8. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer?

Actually, it is just basic algebra. As long as you play with the numbers in the right order, you can end up with any number you want...

Just another finite algorithm. Sorry.

Brother Aqul,

I did not miss the point I think you are making about the order and reason that governs the universe through mathrmatics. If this were not so it would not be so easy to flippantly reduce your example to mere algebra for there would be no algebra.

I guess people were looking to find some spooky hocus pocus when sinple logic is far more a miracle of reality.

Thanks dear brotha

Brother Aqil ...

You know i always appreciate you sharing whatever you will !!!

You know it doesn't take much to tickle me, and i'm no whiz at algebra, can't hardly spell algorithm, my reality changes daily, and don't nun of it seem logical ... but i'll do anything you say !!!

So i did it ... and yes ... i recognize the number !!! :)

Thanks ... for everything

You're quite welcome, my sister...

Brother dexxtreme can break it down algebraically...

If you think this is fascinating just go to Google and type in Fibonacci or the Golden section or Golden String and then search for subjects dealing with the metaphysics of occult Pythagorism.

All this shows is that math is an abstraction of a deeper metaphysical world or phenomenon. Even chaos and absolute randomness can be quantified in math’s abstract language. Music even exemplifies its metaphysical complexity with viewed through math. Math is definitely a Universal language.

ok sister river...here is one that is a little more doable...:)

Don't Cheat By Scrolling Down First!

It takes less than a minute...

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have dinner out. (Try for more than once, but less than 10.)

2. Multiply this number by 2

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50

5. If you have already had your birthday this year, add 1755...(if you haven't, add 1754).

6. Now subtract the four-digit year that you were born

You should have a three-digit number:

The first digit is your original number…(i.e., how many times you want to have dinner out each week.)

The next two numbers are...

YOUR AGE!

These  math problems tickle me pink
Alot of them I received in emails and was amazed that I recognized the numbers, got the right age or figured out the problem.
Keeps me on my toes though
