What words can I say about this great man, other than that he was much better, and much more prolific under more terrible conditions than Spike Lee... Someday, this brother will get his due...one day.

Brother Isaiah, you’re rockin’ and rollin’…excellent post and link. I had once read an article in a magazine named Filmography about the Black film industry in the 20’s and 30’s and 40’s. Brother, we had a multitude of Black movie production houses throughout the country; what I read was unbelievable! There was more production going on then by Black producers and directors than probably in present day Hollywood. Most of our directors and producers today rarely get much attention from the mainstream Black movie audience. Sister Julie Dash and Euzhan Palcy are still unknown to most Black folks.
