Hello Family,
I am currently viewing and listening to this historic video / audio file (http://lists.village.virginia.edu/lists_archive/sixties-l/3016.html).
I've never had such an up close and personal view of The Black Panther Party or our Ancestor Fred Hampton Sr or the conditions of those times!
You don't want to miss this.
I've been watching / listening for the last 40 minutes ... and it's not done yet.
Felt i needed to hurry and share it!
Awesome!
Here's the link ~~~~~> The Murder of Fred Hampton (http://lists.village.virginia.edu/lists_archive/sixties-l/3016.html)

oh yes Destee. great link. a must see for everyone.
the trouble I've seen
you've maced me and attacked me. transferred me from private prsion.
oh, tape record this also, for i want the world to listen.
i've been forced to drink toxic water in order to survive.
while you bring in Black bodies by the boat load and call it war on crime.
I know brothers who were sentenced to 2 but ended up serving 10.
I'm aware of countless numbers of cats in these camps
who went to bed but never got up again.
Have you ever seen them enter with pride? Headstrong and sane
and they leave cut broken thinking a number is there name?
you ever seen a genius go cvrazy? A mastermind dismantled?
How about a man being shot up with more ***** than a horse can handle?
I've seen gradnfathers placed in cells with their own offspring.
And i've seen a brother bleed and bleed til ***** near no blood was left.
I heard him say hell must be better. I heard him pray for quick death.
I 've seen Black men classified as C-numbers held over a quarter of a century.
And i've seen white men with tripple murder leave the penitentiary.
Ever had to choose from what you need and what is necessary?
Ever been exploited by a prison commissary?
heard of women turning tricks for sanitary tissue?
You ever been searched in a manner that truely dissed you?
Imagine four grown men forced in the same room.
What if the pig that beat you served you your food?
I've had property pissed on and given bogus charges.
I cant count the cats in coins, let alone beat uncensored
I've been awakened at three in the morning and told its time to ride.
Ive lost count of the times i heard them say guilty.
How many babies who havent lived, but yet got the death penalty?
Did you know that Mumia was moved and placed in segregation
And given trumped up charges for refusing to cut his dreads?
like magicians you drop drugs from thin air.
Murdered george (Jackson) in Quentin and claimed he was strapped in his hair.
How many "problem prisoners" were popped with ice picks?
From corn to shanks, you still farmers planting *****.
You keep me isolated and caged 24 hours a day.
I've seen the effect of those who you claim to rehabilitate.
Now i know what you mean when you use the term correct.
For I've experienced you bad brutal asss, uncut, in the raw and undressed!

Destee you found gold with that video. I'm from Chicago and everybody here knows the Fred Hampton story. That states attorney named Hanrahan who planned and commited the state sanctioned assasination of brother Hampton, was never even charged with a crime. Once it became clear that they had murdered Fred, Hanrahan was forced to resign but he was never indicted or charged with murder. Destee I thank you so much for the video. It shows Fred strategizing and mobilizing. He was really smart. I knew that, but to really see it like that was amazing.
He spilled his blood freely for us my sisters and brothers. How many of us would have the courage to wear the bullseye like he did. I kept looking at his face for some sign of fear. He knew they were trying to kill him. Far from showing fear he pressed forward ever more forcefully and fearlessly literally directly into the path of their guns. I needed to watch that.
