Every year on this day, is the saddest day to bear
it shatters both my heart and soul, to know that you don't care

I called you several times today
the greatest performance, I ever had to play
cause I didn't want anything to ruin your day

When your youngest daughter called you, today at noon
and said you're the best mom under the moon
(well guess what mom, that was me on the line)
she never picked up the phone, cause she didn't have the time

The phone rang again, yet another daughter on the phone
saying "Happy mother's day" mom, I'm coming back home
(yep, it was me again mom, with an attemp to make you *smile*)
cause this is the daughter, you ain't seen in awhile

Now I'm calling for me, you know, the one that got left behind?
and since you heard from your other two daughters ...
I hope you're now feeling fine
