i've been there
when times were tough

throwing both hands into
the air saying

i've had enough

this world sucks
and nobody cares

while storming aimlessly
down the stairs

yes...

i've been there

silently thinking and
depressed

flooding my head in
negative thoughts

completely isolating
myself repressed
like a game of chess

plotting my next move...

these options
i choose to abuse
confuse then misuse

in the game of life

are REFUSED

suddenly i arose
like a plane in mid-air
flying toward the door
for what lied beyond

fresh air

but saw a little girl
playing in the sand
crying out in frustration

as i lifted her from the
ground onto both feet
like she stood

no longer did i care
the moment had already
passed

and yes...
i've been there
