Couldn't lose, what I didn't have

My heart is in pain ...in serious pain
but so the f*** what, I have more to gain

I lost out on love, and all that it meant
but who the hell cares...it was love well spent

Oh, there were moments when love, was at it's best
but some power took over ...at your request

And this power you hold, is well in control
like the gods in the heavens, like untarnished gold

You know that seed, I told you I planted?
well, you were the seed ...that took me for granted

But all was not lost ...as you took the wrong road
so I re-planted my soil ...and guess what I sowed?

:spinstar: Tranquility :spinstar:
:spinstar: Sensuality :spinstar:
:spinstar: Divinity :spinstar:

Yes, I skillfully planted, all this in one crop
yeah, I loved and I lost ...but I gave you your props

*you gave me a lemon ...and I learned to make lemonade*

Queent....as I feel the sorrow in this, I also feel much hope for tomorrow, for we are never quite sure of what it will bring, but hope...The poem itself, was written with flair. Peace sis.

And as much as I paved it...I couldn't walk it long.

I first tried the soil...to no avail, so, whatever works, is the face of reality. It's important to keep the "whirl" ...turning.
thanks for the drop-in

It's all in the way you look at it, isn't it? If you keep looking up instead of down and keep looking forward instead of backwards you'll finally be able to smell the roses. Thanks for putting that perspective out there.

You're so right, whenever we tend to look "Down & Back" ...we lose and miss a part of ourselfs.
thanks for stepping in my corner of the whirl.

Oh my goodness!

Consider me deeply touched.

Thank you so much for sharing.

This poem has done to me what a beautiful sunrise does to me when I start my day. How invigorating, yet lamenting.

THANK YOU SISTER.
