Reaching for "me"

Another man, I don't want to see...
need some time, to just be me

Free of worry, free of pain
no more "holding" or "placing" blame

I need to relax, and kick off my shoes
so tired of singing...the same old blues

But time brings about, change in our life
and behind is the heartaches, pains and strife

The mistake I made, was to search for in you...
all the things...you couldn't do

Like placing "my" happiness, above your own
but I wouldn't have done that...if I had known

I wouldn't have lost , so many presious years
or cried a river...of needless :crying: tears

So...for a minute or two, I'll go it alone
I regrett what I reaped...from what I have sown

Instead of a bush...I got a "weed"...
but I will ...
plant...
and
plant...
and
plant...
until I get what I need.

Queent I felt the ache in this, but also a desire to learn more about the inner you. You seem to be so intuned to yourself already, more than most. Perhaps there is more for you yet to find, as hard as that is to fathom. I guess I feel this way because of the aura that appears to surround you, a self assured aura. Anywho, this piece caused me to relate and ponder, and that is always a good thing. Flow on poet.

This is a brilliant piece!!!!
Its especially beautiful in that, even with the pain,
there is the deep humor as well. OutStanDing!!!!

I so feel this poem...
for there was a time when
I had a garden of weeds...
beautiful weeds that grew tall as trees...

...but still, they were weeds

so I dug them up from the root
tilled that fallow ground...
refertilized it with self love...
watered it with a whole lot of me...
and now...I'm living again

this may be your poetry
but it is also my story

Eloquent and Regal poem...

Much love my sister...Much love!
