View Full Version : Black Men : This Is Why I Voted For Bush!!!!!!!
IntuitioninMD 12-03-2004, 01:42 PM 51% OF Black Men in New York are unemployed.
Only 3% of Black America are making over $100,000 as individuals.
Public Schools are failing...
Parents are failing at being parents..
The HIV/AIDs rate continues to rise and many believe that there is a correlation between "under cover" brothers.
Why are the PROJECTS STILL HERE????
THOSE ARE ALL THE REASONS I VOTED FOR BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOW DID YOU VOTE???? AND WHY???

Yep!! All these problems affecting the Black community, and G. W. Bush is gonna be the one to solve them?
YEAH RIGHT!!!
P.S In our oppinion, why/how do you think the Black community happened to acquire all these problems?

Before.. I answer that question... Are you for reparations?? Black Reparations?
panafrica 12-04-2004, 07:46 AM IntuitioninMD:
Reparations has absolutely nothing to do with the subject that you started. You said that you voted for Bush because:
51% OF Black Men in New York are unemployed.
Only 3% of Black America are making over $100,000 as individuals.
Public Schools are failing... Parents are failing at being parents..

However you didn't state whether or not you believe Bush can reverse these trends (which is doubtful because the employment numbers in particular started under Bush). Indeed you didn't mention if you felt these numbers were positive or negative. Don't try to change the subject.

HODEE 12-04-2004, 05:27 PM Kerry and the democrats were not offering anything. WHat happened to the Democratic Black Agenda? I believe the democrats failed our people.
Not true. I have seen a swell of very good progress to counter what happened and will happen to black america in the nrews in the last week.
One on CNN they did the rumor about blacks believing AIDs was started by the government.
Mr. Steven Thomas.. Director of the Center for Minority Health in Penn. Stated some very eye opening facts and made some comments that were true to support why this was believed and may be true. Recall the STD experiment practiced on black men from 1932 to 1972 letting them die and go crazy and blind so the U.S. could get data on syphillis. Well he blasted them for this too!
They had a cure in the fifty's yet let the test continue until 1972. Also the testing they did with LSD.

Suit alleges government created AIDS

For conspiracy buffs, it doesn't get much scarier than this.
Boyd Graves, an Annapolis graduate who put himself through law school, is convinced the U.S. government created AIDS in a secret program aimed at killing African-Americans.

There was Gen. Brent Scowcroff and advisor blasting positive issues realted to changes needed. I will get his view and put it up.
Also if you go to black planet ( I have it book marked and will add it later ) you wil find the data i'm talking about of the testing. Jesse Jackson also this week came very strong out on the election process and made some strong comments that I think will make a big difference. Then another democrat came on and supported this blew CNN away all this week! The democrats aren't washed out yet.
Black america is just waking NOW! I see it, feel it in the winds and I won't be surprized in the next two years we are on TOP, closer to the top once and for all. Bottom Rail on top.
A famous statement made by a slave. When he gained freedom during and after the civil war. He then had his right to point a weapon of destruction back at those who had pointed many at him. Times they are a changing. Famous words by the banana dancer from St. Louis. Who recalls her name. Was it Josephen Baker? I believe it was.
Never believe things won't change. positive changes i'm talking about. Given the opportunity I would even change them up on ya! :peace:

You talk out of both sides of your mouth (change directions like a kite in the wind). One minute you are only for: Me, Myself, and I...the next you are talking about the best interest of "our people"! Which do you stand for? Please pick a side and quit riding the fence!
Emeka 12-04-2004, 09:33 PM Before.. I answer that question... Are you for reparations?? Black Reparations?
In theory yes I believe in reparations, however I am a realist and know that Whites will/can never be giving it to Blacks. Now please answer my question, and the question posed by brother Pan.
Thanks

Exactly :bullseye: This is a woman starving for attention. Let's not even respond to her threads. She's had 3 of her own threads closed down. That should tell us that we are wasting out time with her. Some people need to be ignored, particuliarly when they have little or nothing to offer
Destee 12-05-2004, 10:53 AM I LOVE MY PEOPLE... I really do.
Family ... i have seen times in this community where folk have come in hating on Sisters, hating on Brothers, lying, being quite disruptive and condescending to us ... and after being here for awhile, learning from us, or realizing that they don't have to put on these pretentious airs, have turned their behavior completely around. I think this speaks to the power and uniqueness of this community.
A Sister came in chat recently and said that she was 35 and married. It wasn't an hour or so later, that she was apologizing, saying that she was 45 and not married. She said she felt compelled to tell the truth because of the Spirit of our home, not like any other she'd visited on the Internet. She said that she felt that she had to lie to protect herself, that this is what she normally did when going to other places ... but our place is so different.
Most places on the Internet encourage folk to be other than themselves, they encourage the drama, so people come in with that to offer. Online, like many places offline, you are not "accepted" if you're not rich, beautiful, worldly, young, etc., so folk come in the way they think they will be received the best, or that will protect them the most.
It's sad that it is this way, but it is. Our community is truly the exception to the rule. We are real. Folk can be real here, and still accepted. It's not obvious at the beginning though, when people first walk in, because they only see that they are on the Internet, not aware that a place like this exists, where we can truly take off all of these masks and relax, be ourselves.
We are blessed to have such a community, where folk can make changes in the way they act, show their true selves, or come to their true selves, and still be accepted. We have quite a few Members that have done this.
Most of you weren't there when Sister IntuitioninMD made her apology, but it was not just to me. There were other Family Members present and it had to take some amount of courage and nerve for her to do what she did. It seemed quiet sincere and i think she is deserving of a chance to turn this around ... but it will be quite difficult for her to do if everyone is constantly reminding her of the wrong she did prior to her apology.
We have all made errors in our lives, all been in the position of needing another chance. This community is about building, about bringing us to our true selves, about healing from all that has been put on us. Let's not forget that Family. There are many of us who are in need of what we have to offer in this community. Let's not deny it to a Sister or a Brother that has genuinely asked for exactly what we give.
Since Sister IntuitioninMD's apology, she has not given us the same that she gave us before (as evidenced by her quote above). Those of us who seek unity must be willing to forgive, embrace, and move foward with those of our people that try to do the same.
All we have is each other.
Let's give her a real chance Family.

Black People even outside of this board practice this everyday, so you are right in that regards, as for IntuitioninMD's apology, correct me if Im wrong, was it done on the forum at all? if so please point me in that direction, if not I cant and wont ignore the slop she has posted here.
A"public apology" is in order, if it hasnt been done already, being the public is reading it, otherwise Im "clicking" that ignore button. :garbage:

Brother RunawaySlave ... it was a public apology, in the chat room. It was sufficient for me, and i unbanned her.
Since you have suggested she apologize on the forum publicly, she may do that, but if she doesn't you're certainly welcome to ignore her posts.

Akilah 12-05-2004, 07:01 PM In the spirit of "Destee's Place" and understanding... give the Sister a chance.
She has a right to her opinions, her political affiliations, and her standards in a mate. These things are based on HER life experiences at this point.... not yours... The stunning level of negativity that has been meted out to her by brutha's and sisters on this site could have easily just reinforced her own bitter feelings.. As Sister PurpleMoon pointed out in another thread, she's obviously been hurt very very deeply... but instead she has apologized !!! If she is a big enough woman to humble herself and do that then why can't everybody else just be big enough to accept her apology and MOVE ON ???
Much...
Peace & Love,
Akilah :spinstar:
Emeka 12-05-2004, 07:54 PM I'm sorry Destee, but I have to go along with those here who believe that this poster should never have been allowed to have return. I believe that this is a big mistake, which is being made here. By allowing IntuitioninMD to come back into the family, you’re sending the message that you are willing to second guess yourself and disregard the feelings of the majority of posters here (who are probably against this poster remaining). She broke the rules and should be punished for doing so; if not, why then do we have these rules? Her apology does not change this fact. If a man robs a bank and is caught, but yet sincerely apologizes for his wrong doing, does this erase the crime he committed?
Thank you

Only if your white, in the government, ENRON, the banking scandels, on the police force, a diplomat, a president, guest workers from some countries that are needed to work the system and land. Know they are helping our goverment bend and break the laws, but the affluent needs them and wants them. Rush Limbaugh. You can't sue the goverment either. They wrote that law first. Only a state can. A private citizen can't. No state will ever stand on the side of a black person. Unless it is to further a selfish desire to get something they need. Like they did in the education acts, and civil rights acts. The ACLU and NAACP never do what they should. Only what is easy. Elected officials do it all the time. Congress gave us all the rights we would ever need and folded because the men of america didn't believe we should have them or a leg up. It wouldn't be right to let the south go poor, while you bring up those they oppressed. Now today we are still fighting a civil war. It is civil because it involves us civilians. They can commit murder and have immunity... Some other areas are outstanding, please help me compile more.
We aren't on a hunt for the monster, with pitch forks are we? I left mine in my last life. :skillet: hit me with skillet if you like. I love it.

Well, first of all... all the information that I put at the beginning of this thread are FACTS. It disturbs me that our people do not like dealing with the FACTs. I am not happy about these FACTs as much as the next person.
The man that I am always talking about in my postings - Mr. Black Man - is very active in our community , hence that is one of the main reasons that I fell in love with him. That is what we had in common - outside of the fact that we are so sexy.. :)
For me, statistics give a snapshot of truth - to a certain extent... I did not include these statistics to say that BLACK MEN are doing something wrong.
Now, as far as me voting for Bush. I did not see a reason to vote for Kerry.
I am still not sure how the democrats will improve our situation as a people. I did not like the fact that they did not have a Black Agenda. Yes.. Bush did not have one either - but I voted for him based on my lifestyle. I am a business owner. The tax breaks were beneficial. I am very conservative. PLus, I believe that we need more Black Republicans. I like to encourage my brothers and sisters to start their own businesses. Take control of your situation - even if you need to take small steps.
Finally, I feel that we need a "shaking up" so our Black Leaders can start to lead us again.
Black Men... do not get me wrong --- According to the US Census there is a 1 to 1 ratio between Black Men and Black Women that make over $100,000 between the ages of 25 and 34. But, there is a 3 to 1 ratio between Black Men and Black Women between the ages of 35 and 44. I acknowledge that is does seem like there are more Black Successful women vs Black Successful Men... but.. as you can see - there are clearly more Black Men making over $100,000.
I just simply want our people to wake up.
We all want a piece of the pie.... but who has the pie that we want???
Hopefully... I have cleared things up.
So, who did you vote for????
IntuitioninMD 12-09-2004, 07:17 PM Brother Isaiah:
Just to let you know, this thread was created before IntuitioninMD was banned. It was included in a series of anti-black male posts, for which Intuition was initially banned. IntuitioninMD's apology, which resulted in her being allowed back into the family, was her overall behavior up to that point.
Panafrica... I have never been anti-black male... it saddens me that you see it this way. If we cannot see the problem how will we solve it.
Sekhemu 12-09-2004, 09:42 PM Hey, hey, hey, sister, I supported you on that ill-fated OTHER thread which you later apologized for, but as I read this one, I thought THIS freakin' trash you wrote up on this one is the one you should be apologizing to us about - and I aint jokin'!
How in hell Bush, the murderer of innocent African men like Sankofa, gone solve our unemployement problems - by killing us??? That is why Rich asked you if you've got some lethal and deadly hatred of African men... I am on that page 'bout now with my brother... Is your hatred of African men that freakin' deep, my beloved??? Whew, don't write GARBAGE like this to this board just to stimulate convo... This is utterly ridiculous on your part, and indicates to me that you are in dire need of some attention... That's not a terrible thing, it's human, but there are more constructive ways of getting some attention... Please sister, if there's a disconnect between yourself and African men, share the disconnect, not the hatred...
Peace and Blessings!
Isaiah
Hate to say I told ya' so. Bush has killed more black men in jail as the Govenor of Texas than anyone in History. Even though the democrats take us for granted, at least you can say we have the access to them. although we allow much of this to happen to us.
To vote for Bush because of monetary advantages? Conservative? Conserving what? the status quo that says more prisons and less money for schools. The same machine, democrat and republican that cater to special interest groups by campaign donations. This is what is being conserved.
The same Bush that hasn't done a thing to help end the Genocide in the Sudan, but is in bed with King Fahd of Saudi Arabia. Can anyone see the connection here? hmmmmmmmm
Keep voting for the people that bring on the demise of our people, "sistah" :welldone:

What kills me is how people can always focus on what Bush has done or has not done for Black People? I told you why I voted FOR Bush, but you have not stated why you voted the way that you voted. DO you really think it helps our people to constantly talk about what a person has not done for us rather than stating... what the person has DONE for our people that you voted for....?
I clearly stated who I voted for and why? Personally attacking my decision DOES NOT HELP OUR PEOPLE EITHER. 18% of Black America voted for Bush. :golf:
panafrica 12-10-2004, 03:41 AM IntuitioninMD:
The majority of the posts you created before your banning were decidedly anti-black male. As far as the "statistics" you provided, no black person in the North-Eastern US is unaware of them. Especially the unemployment stats, black men are living it, not just reading about it. Over 50% of black men in Baltimore are facing unemployment as well. You can vote how you wish; however, it isn't logical to look for a Presidential administration to solve a problem that reached "epidimic numbers" during their term

FYI Intuition you put your decision out to be criticized! If you didn't want your decision criticized (surely you can't be surprised that the majority of people on a Black website wouldn't support Bush), then you wouldn't have created a "This Is Why I Voted For Bush!!!!!!" thread.

OKay.... so.. why did you vote for the person that you voted for? Did you vote?
Criticism is good?
Are you ever going to answer the question, Who did you vote for and why?
panafrica 12-10-2004, 07:35 AM I looked at similar statistics to the one you posted, and decided that they were not beneficial to the majority of African Americans! In addition, I felt that Bush would not only fail to solve these issues, but he could care less. Therefore I did not vote for Bush! How is that for an answer?

Panafrica... no.. that is not answering the question --Who you voted for? But.. it does not matter. People may read this thread and say she is not for Black people -- OTHERs may read the thread and ask... is PANAFRICA for Black people -- they may notice how you keep on avoiding the question.
But.. you do not have to answer.. It simply does not matter.
Bush is our President for now.. and what are you going to do to help Black People?
BTW -- I am not expecting you to answer that either.
Peace Love and Harmony my brother or sister...--- I have wasted enough time trying to get you to state who did you vote for and why? It may not be important to you... so your anwser should not be important to ME.
:peace:

The Bush administration is making these problems worse by persecuting the disadvantaged while making things more lenient for the wealthy.
