Upon reading the biography of this unsung hero of the Human Rights Movement of African Americans, Fred Shuttlesworth automatically became one of my greatest heroes... His "maniacal" courage is legendary... His challenge to the system of White Supremacy down in Birmingham, Alabama brought even his greatest enemy to the point of unabashed admiration.
