1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq.

2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization.

4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.

5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in southern Iraq.

6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq.

7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.

8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq.

9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.

10. Amos cried out in Iraq.

11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.

12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq.

13. The three Hebrew children - their Chaldean names were Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego - were in the fire in Iraq.

14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.

15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.

19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq.

Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word "Mesopotamia" means "between the two rivers," or exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name "Iraq" means "country with deep roots."

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots, and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation - except Israel - has more history and prophecy associated with it than Iraq...

I personally am having a problem with finding this actual verse. When I look up Sura 9:11 this is the verse I get.

11 But if they repent and are steadfast in prayer and give alms, then they are your brethren in religion- we detail the signs unto a people that do know.

Am I looking at the wrong book?

You're right Music Producer...the verse I quoted is from a hadith, not the Qur'an. My badd...I deleted it...thanx.It appears to have not been from the Hadith. I did a word search on the Hadith for “eagle” and this is the only location the computer found.

Book 20, Number 20.72.243:
Malik said, I still hear that when a person in ihram kills an ostrich, a camel is due."
Malik said, "I think that for an ostrich egg, one tenth of the price of a camel is due in the same way that there is a newly-born male or female slave for the unborn child of a free woman. The value of the newly-born slave is fifty dinars, and that is one-tenth of what the blood-money for the mother would be.
"Birds from the eagle family, eagles or falcons or vultures count as game for which a price is paid just as a price is paid for any game which a person in ihram kills. For everything for which a penalty is paid, the assessment is the same, whether the animal is old or young. The analogy of that is that the blood-money for the young and the old freeman, are considered to be the same."
Section: The Fidya for Killing Locusts in Ihram

May be its in another book? A book of that caliber would have to be in my collection.

Thank you, Music Producer...and I did a search on the word "eagle" and the word doesn't appear anywhere in the the Qur'an. Verse 9:11 of the Qur'an reads just as you quoted it. The article was e-mailed to me by a friend, and when I informed him of this, he said it was in a hadith. And just as you say, it's not in hadith either. It appears that the verse is a hoax...and I apologize for that...I should have checked as you did...my badd, and thank you for your great research...
