And no I don't believe God is some " pie in the sky" or " the old man in the sky sitting on a throne in the clouds". As I've stated God is unique and transcendent meaning one of a kind or like no other. There for we don't have the capacity to understand God. For example, how does God manage to hear everyones prayers, provide everyone with what they need (not wants)keep everything in the universe in balance, etc... To know the mechanical workings of how this is done would give us equal status to God and we are so far from that it can't be measured. Also when God breathed life into man we received some of characterics such as emotion not the other way around. Man has corrupted the "God concept" by have a "God complex". We become intoxicated with the perception of the power of life and death. We willingly take on the responsibility for the care and nurture of others for the sake of companionship.ie pets, children, patients, elderly etc..This is the God in us manifesting itself. God created us to be a part of his family and his pleasure. There has always been God and there will alway be God whether we are a part of the picture or not. Peace brother.

God sees himself as a mother as in Isa 66:13. God sees himself as King or Ruler or Master as in Isa 33:22. What God doesn't see his self as is a physical being. God makes clear distinction between himself and man as in Isa 55:8,9.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

As seen in the scripture above God does not want us to make idols or physical images to represent him. So what is God's image. God’s image is divine intellect. This is what separates human beings from animals. When God breathed life into us he gave us divine intellect or his image. Sorry it took me some long to answer you questions brotha. I have been extremely busy and I don’t want to give you a half hearted lame answer. You deserve more respect than that. I understand what you are asking me now. Well to answer your question we must ask, who were the first known human beings? First I will start scientifically. Since "fossil evidence" is not an exact science when it comes to humans we must rely on archaeologically evidence. The evidence is comprised of written language, art, tools, architecture, sciences, etc. This evidence points to Africa, so one can ascertain that the earliest known humans were African. Scientists have recently come forth with the fact that from Africans all the races of the world were formed. Let’s look at this Biblically. In Genesis 2:8-14 it says.

8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

The only reason i posted to this thread was because i noticed that you started a thread, asking a question. Several folk have responded, including Brother Mississippi.

When Brother Mississippi responded in this thread, you virtually attacked him. Beginning your response with the very inflammatory words "People like you ..." All the Brother did was respond to your initial question. In essence, he was helping you out, contributing to the thread / discussion that you started ... and you attack him.

A post where I said that it doesn't really matter what any of us think we know about God and or Supreme beings or whatever you want to call it is pure speculation because we don't know and that's the honest truth. You don't know whether I'm religious or not, Christian, Jew, Muslim, Voodoo Priest, atheist or agnostic. I, too, have lots of questions about God (Allah, YHWH, Jehovah, Jah)... I study religion as sort of a hobby. The only thing I can tell you is to read about it, and then look into your own heart. Start from where you are now, with the Bible and the Christian church, and go backwards. I actually went back and forth at the same time. I was questioning my Christian beliefs when one of my best friends re-verted to Islam, and gave me a Qu'ran. I'm trying to get my hands on a good translation of the Torah. So, just study, read the history behind it, and in the end, follow your heart. Just be careful when you read, because your brain will :weights: and you'll find yourself :thinking: a little bit too hard.

Thank you brother for making the point about " faith" and "truth" that I've been trying to make in this forum all along. Though we follow religious doctrine, schools of thought and common knowledge unless we were there to experience events first hand, we rely on the account of others. At some point in time we hear things or are told things and we must make a choice. Am I suppose to believe my earliest descendants were apes like Charles Darwin said. Am I suppose to believe all my thoughts and actions are motivated by repressed sexual desires like Sigmund Freud said. Well believe it or not this what is being taught by our colleges and universities that we are dying to get degrees from. So when do we say "I just can't accept something as being the truth" or "I just know deep down inside this is right". This is where faith come in. Faith is what you feel when everyone else tells you you're wrong. That deep down feeling you get when your soul is restless or when you have undeniable serenity. Some believe that personal testimony is merely a pep talk or a sob story. I say a persons testimony is the closest truth that one may ever know. Useless a person is a liar or insulting one intelligence, a testimony is the truth, at least that persons truth. Being a christian many situations I face I can find in the Bible and apply it to my life. I also have learned to be quiet and listen to God. God has also blessed me with spiritual vision and discernment this is why I can see things many are blind to. This is why I say what I believe is true. How can I prove it? I can't. Why? Because what God has shown me is for me only for his use of me not for my self-gradification. It is simple as that. So like I said when given the facts the truth can not be denied. When given theory and his story one must choose. Our choices is our faith.

However, the burden can be met by providing sufficient evidence and/or logic that the alternative is improbable.

This means that the alternative to life on earth being created by a "creator" is that we (all life) came about randomly. That is so improbable that it is impossible when considering all data related to it. This leaves us with a "creator" until we can find something more logical.

The proposition "God exists" is either true or false. I think it is true. I merely pointed out a condition which, if it existed, would prove the proposition to be false. I don't think that condition exists, however, and I don't think anyone will have much luck if they try to demonstrate that it does.
