My friend took that pill and we had that same question but came to the conclusion that it is an abortion pill not a birth control pill.

well all i kno is that there is no estrogen in it so its not like bc... and i heard it stops the sperm form connectin or somin like that being that it take 6-7 days for sperm to hit and produce ... but sperm olny lives for 24 hours..... and u can take the pill up to five days after the morning after

it is a drug that causes a very early abortion.

I dont think it is an abortion pill at all becuase there is no way any sort of being will have formed by the next morning.

In any case, speak to many people becuase you never know what damage these things can do to your body. Ask an expert and people who have used it to make sure it wont have some bad after effects.

from what I gather, the morning after pill, at least, the early versions of it, were basically concentrated birth control. It acts pretty much the same way that birth control pills do: it tricks your body into thinking that it's pregnant so that the sperm cannot connect with an egg, thus preventing pregnancy.

this is wat is stated on the paper they give you about it:
the pill either keeps the ovary from releasing an egg, thicken cervical mucus or chnage the lining og the uterus in such a way that a fertilized egg may not attach and develop into a pregnancy.

its simular to brith control bc its a hormonal pill but it doesnt contain estrogen like birth control does

when i spoke ot other peoiple whoi took it... they got sick... but the doctor said that shouldnt happen due to the lack of estrogen. when i took it... i didnt get sick ...
