View Full Version : Relationships : Are Women Annoying?
MANASIAC 08-03-2004, 03:57 PM Are Women really that bad? Or do some of us brothers avoid looking in the mirror to solve our problems with the opposite ex?
What is your take on it.
My Take: I usually cause a woman annoyance thus she dishes out the same thang.

That's a loaded question, that's a question with multi answers
First of all, how annoying can we be...you came outa us. We are your 'mother's, your 'teacher's, your 'Queen''s and your 'lover's.
Some men think that women are annoying when a women tries to keep them on the borderline of "do right" ...I admit there are some annoying women out there but most of the time...we tend to step in when things are not right and we get labled ..."annoying"
KWABENA 08-05-2004, 03:21 PM How can women be annoying? What could they possibly do to be annoying? What do you really mean by annoying? All I know is I would rather see them happy and jumpy than sad and depressed. If they need to be annoying to do so, then I have nothing against them.
If you were a true brotha, you would play along with them, then they will not be so annoying after all will they?
triniti424 08-06-2004, 02:51 AM oh my lol brotha cedric "play along" that almosts sounds as if you are going into
it "playing" and after awhile games to tend to be a lil over-rated dont ya think :look: i
spose that wasnt what you meant...right

I could not go on any further until I found out what the meaning of "annoying" was. Some guys get sick of women being "annoying." I need the real to find out what we are talking about when we say "annoying." Examples are always appreciated.
I apologize for any misinterpretations.

Isaiah 08-06-2004, 08:32 PM Yep, women are very annoying, especially when you aint got one to annoy ya!(smile!) Then you wish one would just walk up to ya, and be real "annoying..."
LongStoryShort, better to be annoyed by a sista, than be ignored by a sista, and that aint no joke... Know what I'm sayin, Manasiac???(smile!)
Peace!

Now that is the truth...the whole truth...and nothing but the truth!! :toast:
$$RICH$$ 08-07-2004, 03:41 AM annoying .....to disturb or irritate /repeated acts of a woman to pester
or harassed within solo stanza mostly is good cause she care and want
to keep one's man in the upright state of mind or refine self from wild oats
even to express her true love I'll take it and love it anyday yes some women
very annoying but many time hold a great reason which i respect now it's
better then to be of annoyance....the acts of annoying a state of being of
getting annoyed by a woman is a heavy feelings, out right truth is what brother
Panafrica stated .

kente417mojo 08-09-2004, 12:19 PM Women can be annoying sometimes when they come with unnecessary drama and things like that. As a whole, women are people I would not want to do without.....EVER. Sometimes it can be more than I can stand, but then I start missing the annoying part that comes with all the good stuff that women bring to the table (if she's a good one). They have good and bad qualities...just like us guys. :toast:
KWABENA 08-09-2004, 04:57 PM Women are God's Gift to us men, and I just like to say that at least they find me intersting wnough to annoy me. Women who annoy me do it to show that they they are having a good day or a good time. I just do not like to see them downed and depressed.
toylin 08-10-2004, 10:02 PM *peeking in* Well, now, this is interesting. *taking notes* Annoy more men.. Got it! :)
jazzymoonchild 08-17-2004, 02:36 PM LOL @ Toylin.
My take on this,..."People" can be annoying at times. Period. There are some women who annoy me and some men who do. Hey, I might even be annoying to some people, but I try not to be. I don't like to be a thorn in anyone's side. :nono:
kente417mojo 08-17-2004, 02:54 PM Can women be annoying....not jazzymoonchild
jazzymoonchild 08-17-2004, 04:54 PM Awww, Kente....Don't make me love you, man!!!

nabraska 08-21-2004, 02:03 PM Women can be very annoying, but I have found my experience that it allow them their time they can have their say and they won't be buggin' you with the same ole non-sense. Everybody has one voice and two ears, lets remember to listen brothas, sometime it saves even the weakest relationship--that is if u want to save it.....
kente417mojo 08-25-2004, 12:35 PM I agree that women can definately be very annoying. I think when you have a woman that you love you can look past the annoying parts. Women can sometimes be annoying because they seem to think they know what a guy wants to hear. Women who just talk and talk about themselves get on my last nerve. Always talking about how independant they are, how much they like to have fun, how many friends they got, how only a real man can handle them etc. That's annoying. Give me a break. These are the same women that get sprung and want to bring their fun, independant, social butt to your house every night and take up all your valuable time.
jazzymoonchild 08-25-2004, 12:42 PM hahahaha,...@ Kente. Man you are a trip!!
kente417mojo 08-25-2004, 12:58 PM hahahaha,...@ Kente. Man you are a trip!!
Hey beautiful.....it's true though. At least in my experience it is. I'm also annoyed by women that have to be entertained all the time. I'm not one to go out all day everyday....I don't care if it's Saturday night. Then there are women that feel like you need to make sure they're doing something at all times. If we're at my house and I'm watching a video on Saturday night and you get bored...you can go home. :smash:
Monetary 08-25-2004, 02:24 PM you're too funny, bruh...dapz.
I love women with all my . They are never annoying to me.

The trick is sweettalk. Make a joke out of it like..."Baby, come on now. You know you ain't right."
toylin 08-25-2004, 06:15 PM The trick is sweettalk. Make a joke out of it like..."Baby, come on now. You know you ain't right."
You may be on to something there.... Most women I know are always walking around going "How dare he tell me......" fill in thev blank. Most PEOPLE, men and women, refuse to accept that there may be another opinion besides theirs. I have people all the time argue with me, and then 2 days later come bcak and say, "I hate it when you're right."
jazzymoonchild 08-26-2004, 02:57 PM So so true, Brother Kente! LOL. I have so much stuff at my house that I can be entertained right there. In fact, sometimes I throw get togethers at my house because I want company, but don't want to go ANYWHERE!! I have music and movies galore, comfortable furniture and friends who love to eat, drink, talk and sometimes just "be". I light my candles and incense, and chill. The beautiful part is that I can do this with or without company.

toylin 08-26-2004, 06:48 PM You know, I have a spin to put on that sentiment (about staying home versus going out).. A few women I know refuse to stay at home with men for a looonnng time in the relationship,. Why? Because it seems that everytime a brother says "Let's stay in tonight," he's only in it for the sex. I, too, have had guys call me up, ask to bring over movies and chips, and the minute they walked in the door, they grew extra arms and legs. After I send Octopus Man back home, he usually says something like, "Well you invited me over here, at night.. what was I supposed to think."
Man, i have GOT to find some new friends!
$$RICH$$ 08-27-2004, 12:45 AM lol@ Toylin i hear ya .....but they can be at times but sometime it's
in a sweet way , me i love it coz it help tell me what they feel deeply
toylin 08-27-2004, 11:28 AM So, an annoying woman just means that she cares about you?
jazzymoonchild 08-27-2004, 12:16 PM Toylin,
You are so right. But sometimes, when its a good cool friend, or someone you are really comfortable with, you actually can just chill and watch whatever is on. I like that. No pressure on either end. Just chillin with the feet up
Monetary 08-27-2004, 12:21 PM that's so true. I think when women ask a bunch of questions during the game or when you're watching a movie it's only to get some attention. If you give it to them, then they'll leave ya alone...or, when you were supposed to have something done and you put it off all day. She asks you to do it during the fight because you have been saying all day that you were going to do it...but haven't. Just get your work done BEFORE your show, the game, or the fight....and harmony will remain in the house. Women are funny...I tell ya. They play mental games all the time. Look for it, fellas. It's happening...you may not see it, but it's happening.
watzinaname 08-27-2004, 05:10 PM Anyone would be annoying if they ask questions when you're in the middle of something. does she want attention just for the sake of getting attention, or does she want attention because you aren't paying enough attention on a regular basis? That's the question.

Royal_T 08-28-2004, 06:08 AM Are women annoying? I think it depends on the situation. I think there are a group of women that nag about things that have no bearing on anyone in the world (and some men have many unimportant things to discuss). I also think that because it's a man's world men are able to set the agenda. So what's important to you all at the time may not be important to us and vice versa. Women may want to discuss something and it can totally be ignored. To be ignored tends to make anyone crazy. Then women get that label..."crazy," "annoying," or whatever else can be deemed unstable. I'd say most of the time, women have valid points but due to our inablility to positively communicate with one another...we let what may be important pass us by.

I totally agree with that. So, whenever a woman keeps asking me something, I sit her down, look her straight in the eyes, and talk to her. I see it as a sign of importance for her to get my undivided attention at that moment. She wants to know that I value her over whatever it is that I'm doing at the moment. Once I showed her that attention, she'd leave alone. It works for me. :D
Btw, I don't agree with the statement "It's a man's world." But, that's a conversation for another thread.
Royal_T 08-28-2004, 08:14 PM Thanks Monetary...But you know what I mean by it's a man's world. Your rules, your pace. Some things are changing for the better. Somethings aren't. I know you said another thread, but I'm hard headed. :)

In reference to the "it's a man's world" comment, my opinion would be focused on how WE would view the relationship between a Black woman and a Black man compared to the views of today; especially when it comes to phrases such as "head of the household", and "the man of the house." As you can see, it's a topic for a different thread. :D

I recognize a few of these qualities in myself but I'm not revealing which ones! Besides, some of these are when some women are at their best! ;)

Sun Ship 09-10-2004, 09:19 PM First of all, I would like to thank sister Destee for welcoming me back to the forum and just short of a long explanation about my absence; it’s good to be back. Here’s a couple of love smilies …:love::love::love: ... back at you, Destee. Now let me stop digressing and just respond to one of these post.
I’m really interested in Sister NNQueen’s post (as usual)…
Quote:
“I recognize a few of these qualities in myself but I'm not revealing which ones!… Besides, some of these are when some women are at their best! “
…hmmm?
“… Besides, some of these are when some women are at their best!”
…hmmm…my curious meter just went into the zone. I need details… I don’t know if I should sweat or have a chill behind sister Queenie's statement.
For some reason you make me think about the late actress Mae West, who stated, "When I'm good, I'm very good. But when I'm bad I'm better".
Break it down for a brother, sister Queenie.
What’s the right way to annoy a brother? :)
toylin 09-11-2004, 01:08 PM Uh oh. *running for cover* This is going to get :hot:
$$RICH$$ 09-14-2004, 03:21 AM i like to hear this one myself coz what is the right way ! hmmmmmm!
Different things annoy me about women, but it's mostly in trying to understand them and to get them to understand me. That's beyond annoying, it's maddening.
toylin 09-19-2004, 03:05 PM Ahh, but if we women explained everything to you men, we would no longer be mysterious, and where's the fun in that?
I'm not intrigued by a "mysterious" woman. It turns me off, actually. I like a woman who is straightforward and direct. A woman trying be "mysterious" comes off to me like game playing. Like I said, it turns me off and frustrates me.
toylin 09-19-2004, 03:25 PM What I meant by that comment was this: if a person tells you every single thing about them in the first 2 hours of conversation, what's left to learn?
I see your point. I guess I'm just an impatient person. I hold myself to a really high standard and maybe I expect too much out of women. I probably shouldn't hold other people to the strict standards I hold for myself.
$$RICH$$ 09-20-2004, 03:42 AM we as men also hold a mysterious side that maybe annoying to women but
the facts still say women can be very annoying on subjects that linger to long
but it never bother me because i quickly try to communicate and reach a reasonable
solution .
Monetary 09-20-2004, 03:29 PM Different things annoy me about women, but it's mostly in trying to understand them and to get them to understand me. That's beyond annoying, it's maddening.

If you're a man who loves women, you will experience this on many occasions in your lifetime. :D
watzinaname 09-20-2004, 06:44 PM Lack of communication is annoying, no matter who it is male or female. Whatever you want to say, just spell it out, plain.
